I’ve been going to the cottage in Muskoka almost every weekend since the start of May. I love it. Spent heaps of time in the car listening to tunes. My friend who works at KANETIX told me about a contest for $500! Um, yeah? They were inspired to find out what folks deem the ultimate summer driving playlist, so they reached out to me awesome blog friends to find out what our top summer driving songs are. Kanetix is an online comparison site for insurance, mortgages and credit cards, recently commissioned a study to find out how music impacts your driving. Too bad I didn’t stop by Cabana Pool Bar yesterday to see my boy JB and tell him about this great contest with his tour sponsor essence cosmetics! Thanks to everyone who entered the contest. On Twitter alone there were 125,923 estimated impressions from 62 Twitter mentions. Whoa mama! I drew a random name this morning and the winner has been contacted. If you are wondering why I didn’t announce them publicly it’s because I learned from my work at MuchMusic that the Beliebers can get mighty angry about winning/losing a chance to see their idol and I want to protect them from any chance of bullying. (BTW shame on yourselves if that’s you!) You’ll know who it is on Thursday when they are Tweeting from the concert! I can’t wait to see him in NYC. It’ll be great to get away for a few days and *hopefully* I’ll get that meet and greet the essence team mentioned! I will actually be my the third time I’ve seen him. I was the Social Media Manager of the MMVAs when he was there in 2010. NBD.  This is the dress I had made by Peach Berserk with his face on it along with other nominees.  Ahhh, memories… I’ll see if I can give away any more tickets from the tour. No promises! OK, I started this book today. Sitting on Queen Street in the shade waiting for (rain) someone boyfriend. Netflix sent me a signed copy from the author. Autograph is orange highlighter, naturally. It sounds good, the creator of Weeds made it. Scroll down if you want the prize only, winner gets the following.. Last year they sent me a FIVE YEAR subscription and I am excited because more series are being produced for Netflix ONLY. [I was a subscriber before they contacted me.] WATCH THIS IT’S FUNNY Taryn Manning, Donna from That 70’s Show, Jason Biggs (American Pie),  and Janeane Garofalo. LOVE IT.  I like this story, from the first chapters, because I could be this person. So could you. It’s not that hard to get trapped in a cross-border love/drug smuggling scandal. I saw Broke Down Palace, I know how this works.   HOW TO WIN This is a totally made up contest – WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO SAVE ME IN JAIL? Tweet Basically this could happen to anyone, right? Ladies & gents, as you may know it MMVA weekend in our fine city. I’ve attended the MMVAs, had friends win awards, and in 2010 I was the Social Media Manager of the show. The best part of the whole night are the after parties. This year I’ll be on the Universal Music bus with artists (who shall not be named!), at the at Universal party, ans then the 235Films party celebrating Drake’s video (that my BF worked on!). The latest campaign from Perrier for ‘Secret Place’ is pretty rad. I showed it to my work peeps and we loved the complex digital journey. I really like mix between branded entertainment and game.  In Secret Place, you’re at the Ultimate Party and you get to live out the experience from the perspective of each of the 60 guests. Hmmm, sounds interesting… This is the part I love It took them 18 months writing scripts and scenarios to produce a film shot from each character perspective. Then, they had to build in the functionality to seamlessly switch characters with one click. Mind blowing! “Imagine having to reproduce the sound of a bottle on a bar as many times as there are people in the room who can hear it.” I can’t imagine. There’s are a bunch of different rooms to explore at the ‘Secret Place’ party, it you haven’t done it yet. I encourage you to give it a go. This scene gets pretty sexy… The prizes are parties at some of funnest places around the world including Ibiza, Art Basel in Miami, Saint Tropez, Rio for Carnival, and Sydney for NYE. The experience is available worldwide but open to 20 countries to play in the major markets for Perrier France, United States and Canada. I would love to win but unfortunately (for me) I’ve worked with Perrier and this is my second sponsored post. Today I recieved the 2013 SS Lookbook for Thomas Sabo featuring brand ambassadors Poppy Delevingne and David Garrett. Last month I was in London, UK for the launch of Thomas Sabo SS 2013 a collection that features rose gold and yellow gold plated sterling silver. There are SO MANY nice things. Check it out here! The official launch event was at The Shard London, the tallest (not yet open to the public) building in the entire European Union. It was a totally amazing experience. I met both Poppy and David and there were a whole slew of celebs there including F1 driver Nico Rosberg, Jade Jagger, Sugababes, Ellie Goulding, and some Brazilian soccer stars. I was super impressed with David’s rocker style and ability to play violin so badass. Check this out! In other news,  I was sent a gift for you from Thomas Sabo.
