OH “you don’t wanna party in a sari” #smirnoffXchange

OH is ‘overheard on Twitter if you don’t know by now @itsbrownbarbie is my charming and oh so stylish roommate Sabrina. #smirnoffXchange is the hashtag for tonight Tonight’s Smirnoff  party is a ‘Nightlife Exchange’ with India. I wrote about it in the ‘hey, wanna go to a party?‘ ticket giveaway post about a week ago. We were chatting about what to wear and if we should India theme our outfits and Brown Barbie said “you don’t wanna party in a sari”. She looks so cute dressed like this, much different than her usual Barbie style. There’s a couple reasons, the fancy material she has on below is highly flammable and all that fabric could cause a party foul and easily get ruined. Just think, heaps of fabric, high heels, copious amounts of alcohol, sounds like trouble to me. I’m wearing a vintage kaftan that was Mum’s from the 1970’s. She shortened it back then and I’ve tailored it a little to fit me just perfect. Love wearing Mum’s old stuff cause when I blog it she pops in to check and is happily surprised. The place we are going is called Munition Factory and the Smirnoff crew started setting up early this week. Pretty stoked to show you photos of it all tomorrow. BTW posting a contest in the AM that involves food, beer and YOU. You know where to get the daily awesome, right here! Have a great night! ♥ CASIE

i need some time for myself sometimes and sometimes i need some time with you

Woke up and went for a dip in the hot tub. It was so sunny and bright, a great way to start the day. Newest Moovboots. My fav ones for sure. Siberian Huskies. Warm and cozy. Read some news on Mashable. Love iPad Andy so much. We watch movies in bed, sleep together. Great view from the sunroom. When I wanna relax/space out I listen to this song. I find it most enjoyable on the TTC. I zone out and feel I am floating like a feather, daydreaming about peoples thoughts and where they are going, where they came from. Where I am going? What am I doing? Putting together a relaxing playlist on itunes, I need one.  I’m going to Ostara Spa on King Street for a long relaxing massage. I am stoked . It’s been ages since I’ve had a great massage and I’ve been working my ass off lately. It’s my first time going there too. Next week is busy busy. Doing a talk about Social Media & Personal Branding at The National Ballet of Canada on Monday, Tuesday I am doing Rogers Daytime TV, Thursday is the Movember Gala and I’m a judge. I can’t wait. The week after that I am in LA, SF and Dallas and I finally get to meet Richard Branson. THIS IS MY LIFE. I have to keep telling myself. I love it and I love sharing it here with you. Thank you for reading and don’t be shy to comment or email me. Now, I’ve gotta scoot to get my hair done because I am totes gonna be LATE!!!

he called me brainy hot and he said that was the best hot in the world. thank you for that.

I used to do these Friday posts that were called TGIF: Twitter, Google, Internet, Facebook. A roundup of some of my fav things from around the week this week. Guess what? I’m bringing it b-b-b-back. Here we go. Please comment, it’s nice when you share, I share, we share. Twitter: Influence. It’s a word that gets tossed around on the internet when talking about brands and people and ROI and social media but what does that really mean? The big draw I feel used to be traffic, if you had traffic, you had influence. Thanks to Twitter and a couple other sites, traffic on your blog is not the only way to measure. There’s more that come into play, attitude, reputation, audience. Brands want to connect with people that represent the same things they stand for, people who identify with the brand make it more authentic. (A word now totally over used BTW.) For example, Virgin America is a great brand match for me, I’m a cheeky little rabble-rouser, I like to have fun and I reckon Sir RB and I will make good friends. (P.S. we meet in Dallas Dec. 1st). Klout was recently featured in the Globe & Mail and I think what they are doing is great. Here’s a snippit: “In the fast-changing social media world, influence is becoming increasingly important as companies start to focus more on who is leading conversations as opposed to how many conversations are happening. In many respects, there is more emphasis on quantity rather than quality. “ Google: Check out my commercial from the Smirnoff Canada Graphic party in July 19th at Andrew Richard Designs in Toronto. Been chatting NYC agency and girl’ be getting paid.  I’ve done a bunch of tv/movie stuff in the past and I think I’m ready…

enter title here > enter title: fear

This was me at 6am these are my new Moovboots. Best ones yet. Siberian Huskies. And now for something special, Street Style/Unstyle: You Decide! Rarrrr… WoRD Up. Yesterday was my first time on the mic in Dundas Square.  There was a cute boy painting a mural all day, was pretty. I thought I would have been more nervous but I wasn’t, I was just like “ok lets do this”.  That’s a good sign. I have more anxiety now that it’s over. Been there so many times, seen peeople perform, danced, celebrated Olympic wins, it always seemed like such a huge space and now it feels smaller. One of my fav performances was John Mayer, I know he’s a bit of a dick but I really like him. I wanna do something big there. The whole place is Virgin Mobile sponsor/branded. My mind was thinking abut Virgin America…can we get a plane in there somehow and have a party on it? It was pretty chilly out. Winter is coming. It snowed today, so pretty. I quite love the winter. The sun is shining so bright in our place this afternoon. I’m watching “I hope They Serve Beer in Hell” the Tucker Max movie, VERY offensive and very funny. Some people really wont like this movie and find it quite inappropriate, good thing I’m not friends with many of those ones. Haha. Lots of swearing. Did you see this? It would be great if you txt “armyourself” to 898475 (reg txt rate whatever your plan is) and for every txt received GlaxoSmithKline Inc. will donate $5 to Look Good Feel Better. Hope to reach $25,000. Pretty rad that GSK donates for you and to a great cause. This Tucker Max movie is something else? Have you seen it? What did you think?…
