Do You Pin or Tumble? iBoth.

I have 18 Pinterest boards and follow over 800 blogs on Tumblr. They are excellent ways to keep your mind fresh with ideas and inspire creativity. Last night I updated the cover photos on each of my Pinterest boards. I think they look so pretty now. Something I realllly love seeing is brands who use these well. They are great ways to visualize content and show creativity.

I also blogged some style photos on my Tumblr, OH CASIE. I’ve had that thing for years. I love it. Some great high fashion, constant gifs, and weird wonderful things. I have about 10 tumblr blogs but I don’t update them all, yet. Since I started blogging in 2005 I’ve started and stopped SO MANY blogs. My fav one I still update here and there is borderline artistic on blogspot, my drawing blog.

PRODUCT Mag Launch at Alimento Fine Food Emporium

PRODUCT’s launch party in the meat & cheese section at Alimento Fine Food Emporium on King West. There was a burlesque show, drinks, and no shortage of T-Listers mingling in the meat aisles. I finally got to meet (hehe) photographer/Facebook friend Paul Steward in real life. He took some great photos of Lauren, Brock, Kwasi, and friends.

Twitter Brand Page for MasterCard Canada is Nice

It’s World MasterCard Fashion Week so I’ve been around this Twitter account heaps the last few days. I love seeing brands that so this well. Social media is making marketing so exciting for fans and brands. Who are some of your fav social savvy fashion brands?

What Makes MasterCard’s Twitter Page Great?

  1. Identifies Community Manager, who you are talking to and when.
  2. A stylish, real, live, human being is managing the content.
  3. Recent Tweets from event. With hashtag.
  4. Banner displaying the #hashtag.
  5. Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest.
  6. Creative banner copy.
  7. Website link.
  8. Location.
  9. Verified.

Casie, what are you doing in Calgary, Alberta where it is snowing?

Oh, pardon the swag! I’m in Calgary, Alberta for the 10th anniversary of Paul Hardy, a Calgary based designer making a name for himself around the globe. I’m one of about a dozen bloggers who have have graciously been sent here by Calgary Tourism for a weekend of fashion, fun, food, and friends.

I’m fell into the internet this morning after a deep sleep in my king size bed at Hotel Arts and now I really need to hurry to get downstairs. Driver picks us up in half an hour ten minutes for a fancy media lunch. I have a few hours to hibernate shop and hangout this afternoon before the show & afterparty. I love fashion. I can’t wait! Kinda glad it’s snowing so I can wear a hat and fur.

Oh, and it’s totally SNOWING.

The Art of Soup

I can’t even begin to explain how special I felt when I opened this extremely heavy package today.It came from a friend south of the border. Thank you Ellen for sending these. I love you.

As soon as I knew these cans were being made, I reached out to my best friends in Boston as asked them to keep an eye out at Target. Today, four of the Andy Warhol Tomato Soup cans arrived. The cans celebrate 50 years since Andy’s iconic work, 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans. Andy famously said “I used to have the same [Campbell’s soup] lunch every day for twenty years.”

I love their branding. Something special they did is print all the labels directing you to the website artofsoup.com which redirects to their Facebook page Campbell’s Condensed Soup, 158,746 likes, 3,527 talking about this. Right now. I love when brands do that.

Andy Warhol has always been my favourite. An inspiration. I have blogged about him heaps. He has his own category. I also named my iPad after him. Campbell’s Tomato soup with toast has been my fav lunch since I was a kid. Before I knew him.

My blog is about to get a makeover 😉
