I picked these up the other day when it was all rainy to brighten things up. Mum has a daffodils all around her house at home. It was always my fav to pick them and take to school for my teachers. Hope your day is good 🙂
Spa Week is on Right Now!
On Monday night I took Sean for a Spa Week treatment to Richmond Spa. It was SO nice. After a long weekend in Boston and feeling anxiety over the bombings, it was a chance to completely shut off my brains and go offline. We each had a 30 minute deep tissue massage with exfoliating back scrub, detox foot bath (with different detox foot bath systems), a foot massage and a paraffin treatment on our hands. IT WAS SO GREAT!
Spa Week runs until Sunday and you can get all the participating spas by visiting spaweek.com and entering your city.
Last night I used this Collagen treatment I got in my Spa Week gift bag and OH MY GOD. I could use these every night. they were so cooling before bed. I had a great beauty sleep and woke up refreshed.
Next on the agenda is to bike more now that the WEATHER HAS FINALLY DECIDED to get warmer. I can’t wait for summer. This is my first summer in years that I’ll have a FT job. Luckily, our office is right beside Bellwoods in my fav hood.
Love ya!

You’re a Rainbow of Colours Going Round
Cool thing about Director/producer BF is access to fun props for green screen shoots. Now I can photoshop myself anywhere. FLY ME TO THE MOON GUYS!
What a beautiful sunset last light. Had Burgers Priest by the lake and called it a night.
Spring is near. I can’t wait to get a new basket for my bike. I need one that can double as a picnic. I made a SUMMER PICNIC board on Pinterest. If you like to park hang & picnic, let me know, I’ll add you! Just need your email (leave a comment or DM me on Twitter). We can picnic plan together like pals. Good fun!
Heading up to the cottage this weekend and can’t wait. Been getting some good sleeps lately and using my best beauty products. I thought, what the hell and am I saving this for? I’m living NOW!
Rest your arms, and rest your legs xo

You Never Know What The Day Will Bring
I don’t really know what has me so angry today. On this day last year I was in Boston and we stayed at the Lenox Hotel right by the finish line of the Boston Marathon. I stared at the ceiling in bed last night thinking about how I always stay in Boston till Monday when I go. Last year I missed the race and would have probably been there at the finish line. I think that’s the closest I’ve ever been to a terror attack. Except the time there was a bomb on my plane in New Zealand and I was 12. Friends I knew who were in the race are ok. I’m a pretty positive person and always remind people to look at the bright side but man, I’m really thankful today. More than usual. The saddest thing for me yesterday was a text from Dad asking if I was in Canada. It brought a tear to my eye, imagine his thought hearing the news and not knowing where I was? Heartbreaking. The whole thing is so crazy. I saw that there was a suspicious package at JFK today too. Freaks me out. I love travelling. You can’t be scared but it’s hard not to let it get in your thoughts.
I got myself some daffodils for my desk and took me out for a nice pasta lunch at One of a Kind. I think I just needed a moment to give my brain a break. The rain doesn’t help but I love this yellow jacket from Gap Kids. I’ll call Mum in a minute, she always makes me smile.
Tell your friends and family you love them. You never know what the day will bring.

My Boston Marathon 2013
* Note – I wrote this yesterday before the bombings happened in Boston. I was there all weekend. Thought I shoudl do a little update so I didn’t seem insensitive or something. It’s really horrible what happened. A friend shared this really great article in The Atlantic about the whole thing and I share it with you.
“We actually have all the power here, and there’s one thing we can do to render terrorism ineffective: Refuse to be terrorized. It’s hard to do, because terrorism is designed precisely to scare people — far out of proportion to its actual danger. A huge amount of research on fear and the brain teaches us that we exaggerate threats that are rare, spectacular, immediate, random — in this case involving an innocent child — senseless, horrific and graphic. Terrorism pushes all of our fear buttons, really hard, and we overreact. But our brains are fooling us. Even though this will be in the news for weeks, we should recognize this for what it is: a rare event. That’s the very definition of news: something that is unusual — in this case, something that almost never happens. “

The actual Boston Marathon is today and I know a few people in it. I’m not much of a marathon runner (yet) but my weekend in Beantown was somewhat of a marathon too. We had an awesome time! I wish I was there longer to check out more sights and do more things. We’re already planning to visit again in this summer. Hugest thank you to my friends there for taking us around and showing us an amazing time. Feeling refreshed and ready for a great week! Make it a great one 🙂
Beautiful Day in Boston, Let’s Go to Harvard Yard
Friday, I’m in Love
Rain Rain, Go Away
I don’t really mind the rain to be honest. It inspired my creativity and I alwasy seem to get lots of work accomplished. Sunny days leave me dreaming of park parties and bike rides. I haven’t rode my bike in weeks, I hope the rumoured storm jumps right over Toronto, leaving us with nothing but solid spring sunshine.
Don’t let the weather get you today, you always have two choices, let it pick you up, or let it bring you down. Be the sunshine in your day, your office, your class, and shine it bright on others.
This Old Jam Will Make You Happy 🙂
Enjoy the day,

How Secure is Your Social?
I don’t talk much about Internet security but for someone who uses heaps of apps and has tons of info online, I really should pay more attention to this stuff! I know my girl Keri Blog will be happy I’ve learned about this app, she’s all about security. LOOK KERI A SECURITY APP!
My Permissions App
A friend showed me this app the other day and I was shocked to see ALL the sites who had access to my social info. It’s so easy to sign with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook these days that you forget the app can still creep your data.
My Screenshots
I had NO idea (because I forgot) that I had my Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc. were connected to SO MANY apps I no longer use. You can check your own social security at mypermissions.com. Huzzah!
Hope you’re having an awesome day!

Test Drive from Ted Baker London Spring 2013
On Friday I got to do something that is every girls dream! Stopped by the Ted Baker London showroom at Faulhaber Communications to check out a bunch of spring items to pick something to ‘Test Drive’. Squeeeeeeee!
I’ve been an ambassador with lots of different brands over the years and this for sure ranks up there. I was feeling kinda meh and as soon as I started trying things on my spirits were uplifted! All the Ted Baker London clothes are extremely well made and have strong attention to detail. The style fits me so well, they’re playful and fun yet classy and tailored.
I noticed the camel cape as soon as I wanted in but tried on a bunch of things and looked at all the bags. I wish had every item in my wardrobe!
I decided to go for the camel cape. It’s 70% virgin wool blended with cashmere. I love it. The inside also has beautiful orange/yellow ribbon stitching and fine details. I’ll have this thing forever. Matches great with my fav Ted Baker London purse and bulldog print scarf. Now that I’ve sampled this stuff I will deff be making a trip to the Toronto store at Yorkdale Mall.
