It’a super nice out today. I took off my jacket to snap some photos on my way to work and the sun was already beating down. I heard it might get up to 20 today. It’s about time I start using my Canon DSLR now that it’s nice out. Last summer I was just getting to learn how to use it as an ambassador w/ Canon for the Canon Blogtography program. I’m happy these pants still fit, I really need to get my summer bod rockin’. Since the winter was so long and cold I managed to stay inside and hibernate for months which also meant a million movies, snacks, takeout. These jellies were sent to me by Narrative PR & Call It Spring, I feel like a kid when I wear them. Especially with my backpack on. It’s a great feeling really 🙂   Our quick visit to the cottage yesterday was ok, the lake is still frozen and it’s still winter up there. The snowbank was too high to put the car in the driveway.  The water is going to be so cold this year! Luckily I have my garden at our house in the city to work on before getting into full cottage mode. It’s much more fun up there when it’s warm! Thinking of my friends in Boston and everyone in the marathon today. Last year Sean and I were in Boston that weekend and downtown right were the bombings happened the day before. I knew a couple people running and it was pretty scary. I hope everything today goes fine ad everyone is safe. Thinking I’ll venture out into the sun over lunch, check out the hood. Try and find a good photo spot, maybe read some of my book. Have a few cool things…

Making Memories

Making Memories

Over the last six months I’ve been learning how to use a my first DSLR through my partnership with Canon Canada. As one of 5 official Canon Blogtography Ambassadors I’ve learned how to take portraits, shoot a runway, properly focus, shoot in different lighting, and most importantly the beauty of photos taken with a Canon Digital SLR camera. In our last session of 2013 we sat down for dinner at The Drake Hotel with our reps from Canon and Edelman Toronto. In effort to help us step up our photo game one more level, they hooked us each up with new printers (yes, plural!) AND gave us each a framed print of one of our own photos. It was like Oprah, “You get a printer and you get a printer!”. We all felt super touched when they revealed our gorgeous gallery style photos, printed from the exact printer we were just given. It was a magical moment (see mine in a previous post here). Meet My new Printers Stepping up my photo prints game. We went on an afternoon snorkelling cruise with Good Time Adventures around Koh Tao, Thailand. It was absolutely amazing! Our crew was so much fun and we drank, swam, jumped off the boat, and visited beaches. The shot of Jenni above was assisted by our Tour Leader, Luke, way to go! Thailand Adventures Day 2

OMG HI! This is some of what I have was doing while you were sleeping.  It’s fun being in the future! I’ve been using my GoPro and the APP is AWESOME! Photos from my Canon will be added later. Right now I’m short on time so these are all from mobile. Sitting in the BKK Airport lounge before flying to Chiang Mai. We started the day at the floating markets about an hour outside Bangkok. Thai Diet Coke aka Diet Coke light. It tasted the same which is DELICIOUS. Ryker was amazing at bargaining with this lady from our boat. It lasted about 15 minutes and he got a wooden wine holder.  The boats were super rocky and we spent lots of time screaming and laughing. This goes out to Britney the Queen! I was not scared and actually love snakes. True fact! Gave it a lil’ kiss and left some red lipstick. The Sunday Fundayz boys are a hoot. Parker = crazy. This was en route to airport. I had a lovely and relaxing weekend. Went to Screemers on Friday night for a good scare and spent Saturday afternoon at Hammam Spa. I’ve gone there a few times lately as a way to treat myself to some relaxation. this time I went a little early to relax in the steam room before my full body mud wrap. My skin felt like silk after! Thank you Hammam Spa for this little gift bag! I had tweeted them the day before about the 20% Stylicity discount (available now!) and they left me some goodies. Oh how I love the Internet! This little pink makeup bag is from Ted Baker London and I keep it in my purse to freshen up my look since I often head to events right after work. Went to Ballet on Ossington for my first time Friday night. It was a blast! We popped bottles and danced the night away with Ivana Santilli. Who is awesome by the way! The Ballet is not ‘the ballet’ like the time I was in the Nutcracker with the National Ballet of Canada ballet, it’s just the the venue name. I love this weather and time of year for the sheer beauty of photos. I can’t wait to get out in the wild with my new Canon DSLR at the cottage this weekend and snap some photos. Have a new Canon post coming up next week. Saw this beauty new mural in progress near Queen and Niagara. It’s full of bright colours and even on a rainy day, was a beauty to see. Dripping and bleeding with rainbow bright colours. I’m decked out in lots of colours and leopard print today, there’s no rain on my parade, honey. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Duckface at Disney!

Can you believe we met Donald Duck and made duckfaces? Oh yeah, it happened! This was right near Ariel’s Grotto in Disneyland Adventure Park. We had a cocktail and went on some roller coasters. Love Lauren’s selfie w/ the Duck himself. Disneyland was SO MUCH FUN! Deff worth going on a vacay there without the kids for some fun in the sun.
