Diet Coke TIFF Stay Extraordinary Gala at The Hoxton

Picked up this hat from Fashion Crimes for last night’s Diet Coke event. This was the social media party of TIFF. Everyone and their blog was there. Read about it on The Grid. Lots of Tweets and Facebook happening on scene and heaps of familiar faces. Was nice to meet a few peeps for the first time who enjoy my blog & Tweets. HI GUYS! The Diet Coke team did a great job of turning the Hoxton into a Gala-like venue. Thanks for the pic @DietCoke I didn’t take my camera but Raymi posted a heap of photos here. Saturday Hipster Hop: The Hoxton, Dance Party, Pool Party

Saturday night was opening of the Hoxton. we were told to be there early, but naturally, we rockd up closed to 11:30 and it was a mess. Cops all over the place, hipster hardcode lined up around the worker and the sidewalk covered in people. We were on VIP Media list but that wasn’t going to help at the time. There were so many people at the time that nobody was getting in. Asked Zane if it was worth it and came to the conclusion we’re better off changing plans. Wahhhhhh. Not Hox for these kids just yet. Media night is Aug. 31 so we’ll be there then. Everywhere was packed and since we were with some travellers, Scottie. Ross & Andrew and The Australian, we stopped by the Backpackers Hostel for beers with the babes. I always wanted to check that place out anyways. O’Nizz & I pretended we were travellers too and met this REAL CANADIAN. Bathrooms in that place are nasty. PLANK GIRL. Next stop TOTA so see some friends & DJs. This party don’ stop. Was so smart of me to bring that fan. Dance party. We all hopped the fence at Scadding Court and joined a bunch of other hipsters for a late night swim. IT WAS AWESOME. POOL PARTY! Sammy & Ross are vets at pool hopping. They were at the massive pool hang at Christie pool a couple weeks back. Everyone in their skivvies. Peeps were chill in’ all over the place. Not posting that many pix cause there were some naked peeps and imma respect their bums. Yes. Family photo. We missed you Seany! Cops in the distance. Party over. Saw a mega snake in the park. One of the things I love most about having a blog is having a diary of my life to remind me where I have been and what I have learned. I get a an email each day from Time Hop reminding me what I posted that day the year before. My post had the same title on June 28, 2011. I wanted to remind you to be yourself. You are the best you there will ever be. Own it! Sitting in Detroit airport en route to Toronto. Charging phone, sitting floor. Heading to Hoxton tonight for MSTRKRFT w/ ABSOLUT. They are sending a limo to pick us up. Will be a fun night. Looking forward to seeing friends. Have heaps to soak up from an incredibly awesome last three days here with Ford. Title is a quote from Ian Ruhter who has taken a delivery truck and his life savings to create a massive camera based on the 1800 wet plate technique. It is incredibly interesting and beautiful. It will inspire you, it inspired me. Following his passion for film photography he travels around American shooting photographs that cost him $500 dollars per image. My sister Jenie took this cool shot yesterday from the highway on iPhone. So happy she has iPhone. Found this little guy in our quest to make jewellery. Do you know who he is? Have a really busy day today. Teaching a private blog lesson in an hour then off to a meeting about upcoming charity event then rushing to studio for a photoshoot for upcoming project. It sounds fun but it’s gonna be a rushed day. Heading to Hoxton later for the launch of P&L Catering. Everyone and their blog will be there I’m sure. Some staples in my day, good book (know which one?), sunnies (RayBans), stylus (drawing), Macbook, sketchbook for notes, Sharpie pen for writing everything down. Some friends created this totally awesome app that’s a hybrid between video & photo called Flixel. Check out this one I made the other day. CRAZY cool. I’m gonna make a whole Flixel post soon. we take this halloween thing very seriously

Halloween is my fav time of year. Have I told you 1,000 times yet? Y’know the week before halloween right after after Zombie walk. It’s socially acceptable, I feel, to be in costume anytime this week. Not that being in costume any other day isn’t ok. Once I did a pub crawl as Wonder Woman. DRESSING UP IS AWESOME. Today CTS is having a store party with DJ EL DEVINE (Elliott), candy, pumpkin carving and everyone dressed up. There’s a 50% coupon hid somewhere in the store too. I don’t wok here but I AM the Mayor and have been for some time now. Sammy carved this pumpkin himself. He’s a halloween virgin and last night was his first outing. Elliott is also Australian, double Halloween VIRGINS! It’s a damn shame they don’t celebrate halloween down under. One reason I’m extremely glad my sister and I grew up in Canada and not NZ. You can find Elliott at the Hoxton or somewhere Queen West drinking PBR. Lucas is ALSO Australian! Emma isn’t really preggers. When someone say here smoking there were DISGUSTED! haha If you are around come by will here here chilling for a while! Elliot is playing god tunes all afternoon 🙂

Toronto Fashion Week – Buckler, Boys, Babes

Attended five events last Thursday night – two fashion shows in the tents, Movember media launch, Buckler at F-Stop and GSUS at the Hoxton. It was a workout. Lucky for us they were all close together. Living downtown is essential to making the most appearances in a short time. This is Sport Partying 🙂 Check this out – found three of a kind! We were certain a model farted. Pointing & laughing made the situation a WHOLE lot better. Kate snapped all these photos. She’s a darling. Me, always working. Yes, those are my real lashes 😉 Fritz (Fritz Helder) had the most rad Docs. Not avail at the Doc Martens store. He found them somewhere downtown but I will not reveal his secret!
