Next month I’m speaking at CM1, Canada’s Community Manager Conference. I was a panelist at the last one and this round I’ll be speaking about ‘Influencing the Influencers’. I’ve travelled the world and worked with some of the worlds biggest brands and done heaps of work as an as ‘influencer’.  It’s been really neat watching the roles of ‘influencer’ and ‘Community Manager’ evolve over the last five years. When I started at MuchMusic/MTV as a ‘Social Media Coordinator’, the role ‘Community Manager’ was almost unheard of. Now, it’s a job you’ll find at almost every agency and client-side brand. I’ll be sharing my experience and tips for brands and bloggers when it comes to working together. I was recently on CBC in a segment about this very topic (scroll down to March 22, episode). There will be six circus acts for you to attempt and a new one will be released every other day until the final one on March 17.  All YOU have to do is post Instagram video of yourself performing the circus act  of the day using the hashtag #ZolTed. I’ll be posting my special trick on March 17th! Monday Madness! Busy day ahead. Catching up on weekend ‘tings at the office. Blue hair don’t care. It’s cold but oh so sunny outside.  Just ate a poutine. Dinner w/ friends at the Four Seasons after work. Got back a bunch of photos from my shoot this weekend w/ Adrian Fiebig, squeee! Ordered new prescription glasses (finally after like 5 years). Have new GelaSkins en route for my laptop, iPhone, and iPad mini. Productivity is at an all time high! Below is the July Talk album, been listening to it heaps lately. Love both their voices. Met the lovely blonde lead singer Leah Fay at the Kee to Bala this summer. They opened for Sam Roberts. Sean just worked on Sam Roberts new video too. We’re all so connected! Oh hai Wednesday! I’m ready for the weekend to get here. Prepping for a shoot w/ Adiran Fiebig, an awesome photographer from UK. Saturday afternoon is EmBot’s 6th birthday which should be fun (and loud!). It’s Hello Kitty so will 100% kawaii. Hallo & guten morgen! I woke up earlier than my alarm, reckon that’s a true sign of a happy life. Lots to do this week! OK, LEGGGGGGGO! Thursday is MASS EXODUS the annual fashion show put on by Ryerson University’s School of Fashion. I attended the show in 2010 wich featured a rad performance by Fritz Helder. This year I’m working with one of the sponsors, 3F and I’ll be attending Thursday for media night. Promo video for Ryerson’s MASS EXODUS 2012: Today I get to see all those photos from the super professional shoot I had last week w/ Adrian Fiebig. I’m pretty stoked. Planned a new tattoo I’m getting Friday, y’know, Friday the 13th. I used to hate the day until I took charge and got a tattoo I loved one fine Friday the 13th many moons ago (story here). It was way back when I had no tattoos on my arms at all. Well, that’s never gonna happen again! New tattoo goes with Sailor Jerry sleeve theme and there’s a heart and a girl involved. SWORN TO SECRECY! Ok, jk, it’s kinda like this. This afternoon I’m heading to the fashionable Burroughes Building at 639 Queen St. The Peacock Parade and their event partners, Foxy Originals, Luved Clothing and This Is J. Have you checked out Peacock Parade before? I’m just about to make my very first purchase! The company is a Toronto based startup that offers different sales each day on really, really nice designer items. Looking good is feeling good baby! Deets on the Peacock Parade Pop-up Shop: Remember how excited the world was when this game out? I’m feeling Gaga inspired today so I just watched it again. Was at really beautiful studio yesterday having my photo taken by the talented Adrian Fiebig. I’d love to live in an old building with one of these elevators. My aunt Robyn used to lived in this really neat building in Maine with one and I’ve loved them ever since. I absolutely love having my makeup done. Elena is excellent! Had a meeting this morning about an upcoming fashion project. It’s gonna be a fun one, I can’t wait to share it with you. More work to be done. Enjoy the day, it’s beautiful out!
