Isn’t life a series of images that change as they repeat themselves?

One of the things I loved about DailyBooth (RIP) and love about selfies is they are a way to document your life as you grow and change. I wonder how many times I’ve taken a similar photo of my own face? This video is 4 years of my life on DailyBooth. I exported my archive before it shut down in 2012 and made this so I never forget this stuff.. So many memories here. Any you remember? Today is Anzac day in Australia/New Zealand. It’s like remembrance day in North America. My granddad was in the war. I remember him telling us stories of how he wasn’t old enough and snuck in then worked as a cook. He used to have a butcher shop in Palmerston North, NZ when Mum was growing up. I think he would be really glad to know I kept a blog diary because he was a writer too.  I can’t believe I’m still wearing a scarf and it’s almost May! Urgh! Longest fattest winter of my life.  Loving this new jacked I scored at the Rudsak sale this (deets here, it’s on till Sunday).   Saw this yesterday in my hood when I was walking home from school with EmBot. Here’s to an awesome weekend! <3 CASIE

Creative Mornings: F*ck You. Pay Me.

If you have never seen this video ‘F*ck You Pay Me’ I highly encourage you to carve out a few minutes to watch, listen, and learn. You will be smarter in a few ways. When I first watched it ages ago it inspired me to write this. I’ve run into situations with clients where things get awkward because we didn’t establish our roles, our work, or payment up front before getting started. I changed my perspective on the value of myself and my work after watching this video. Then I drew this 🙂 2011/03 Mike Monteiro | F*ck You. Pay Me. from San Francisco Creative Mornings If you have never creeped my drawing blog (started in 2008!) you can find it here.

In Living Colours | Shot by Becca Lemire

These are a couple selects from a recent shoot w/ Becca Lemire in Toronto. I needed some head shots for an upcoming project so we snapped a bunch and had some fun. I’m wearing Ted Baker London and silver pearls from Tiffany’s that Sean got me for christmas. I added a little tint so give them a punch today. I’m super happy with how they turned out! Thanks Becca! ‘David Bowie Is’ at AGO. I saw him!

Went on a private tour of ‘David Bowie Is’ at the AGO this morning with some Community colleagues. Later this week they start the Ago 1st Thursday events and our client Drambuie is a sponsor. The exhibit was so freaking cool. It’s matched up with Sennheiser Sound so that as you travel from room to room the audio is updated and talks you through the exhibit or plays a song to go with the art. It was pretty amazing, not gonna lie! It’s the first time I’ve experienced a 3D sound system quite like that. This part was super cook. The pano is a bit fuzzy but you can see me and my trench on both sides in the mirrors. I think this sign might have been my fav part, I love the sign.. Could really have stayed at the AGO all day… Saw my old Andy Warhol favs. I used to go to the AGO all the time! See all old posts tagged AGO here.  It pays to be a member! For $100 you can go anytime you want for a year and use the members lounge (it has wifi!). Hair is in a bun today 🙂 Forgot my damn sunnies and the sun just came out, urgh. I am back at my desk in my office with coffee, water, sunflowers, and work. Hope you are enjoying the day wherever you may be! <3 CASIE Buy Propecia Buy Sildenafil Buy Trazodone Buy Zithromax

My idea of a good picture is one that’s in focus and of a famous person.

Hello & happy Thursday to you! Keri always says Thursday is the best night of the week and for me this week, it’s the first night I don’t have anything planned. I’m going to go home, accept first Grocery Gateway delivery, make dinner, do some laundry, clean some of the house, and watch a movie on the Netflix with my love. (If you have a reco LMK!) There’s such comfort in being domestic when you are always on the go! Last night COMMUNITY had an event with Bacardi and the Blue Jays, huge thanks to friends who joined us to open Bacardi at the Park on level 200, section 233. We had @BacardiCanada trending in Toronto, which, for (me) the Social Media Director is the best. The PR team and I were all like… Also, I love Mean Girls and I WISH THIS WAS REAL. In other news.. The film I am “It’s All About ME“,  premieres NEXT MONTH on the BIG SCREEN and tickets are now on sale. Give a ring to the box office at 416-362-5570 or reach them online at commffest.com. I wanna grow up to be a famous person. Title is an Andy quote of course. I’ve always loved him for his work and outlook on life. I’d like to think I carry some of that around with me everywhere I go. I have a category tagged Warhol if you every want some inspiration or a break from everyday life. Sending sunshine to you and everyone around you. The more you give the more you have, SO SHARE IT AROUND! <3 CASIE Buy Amoxil online Buy Clomid online Buy Flomax online Buy Fluoxetine online

Andy’s Illustrated Story of Inspiration

Andy Warhol, Selfie, 1979 Spent some time yesterday looking through this magical book I got a couple years ago called Andy Warhol Treasures: The Illustrated Story of Andy Warhol’s Life and Work. It’s an amazing anthology documenting his life with all kinds of artifacts, letters, report cards, photographs, stencils, and things that have been reproduced. I can’t remember the last time I looked thought and read all this stuff. It’s super inspiring! Some Artifacts from the Book Currently watching The Startup Kids doc on iTunes. If you’re in tech or an entrepreneur,  you’ll totally relate to the film. Finding it as a great source of inspiration to start the week. I also just watched the video blog of a symphony flash mob. Watch, love, share! This was incredible. Thanks for sharing @kmore! andy made a rain machine, i love the rain

I think it’s pretty most the time. Today was ok for walking, not too heavy, not soaking. Leather, headscarf, heels, a little wet but not much.  “Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.” ― Andy Warhol

You want vacation time? Go teach 3rd grade.

Welcome back to work everybody! How was your weekend, what did you do?   I danced a little like this. Cruised Queen Street, rode bike, watched movies, got some sun, went to the Island, hung out at the beach, saw an air show, went to a concert, worked, dined with friends. Excellent Labour Day. The best I can remember. I’d love to get to a cottage soon. Can I come stay at your cottage?   New boots. Creeped the Jays game. We beat Boston. The Labour Day Parade went from 9ish – 11ish on Queen Street. I love the bagpipes & steel drums. Heaps of orange with signs of Jack Layton everywhere. It was a a looooong parade. Niche is an old fav for brekky (Queen/Bathurst). I hardly ever go out for breakfast anymore. I love getting up and working on Saturday mornings. I’m not upset about the change in season, I love Fall fashion!! I hate when people complain about the weather. TALK ABOUT SOMETHING MORE INTERESTING. Have you nothing better? It’s hot, it’s cold, it’s gonna change and be unpredictable. Embrace the fact you can read this from a computer at your office or house and smile. Pretty please 🙂 Today kicks off the busiest time of the year for me. Four months till New Year and heaps to get accomplished. Set yourself a goal or two today.  Time flies and if you don’t write them down, you’ll forget them. There’s so many things in one day, it’s near impossible to remember them all. Having a blog helps. Have a great day,

Gladstone Tweetgasm August 2011: Brock + Sockhop

This month’s Tweetgams was Monday night The Gladstone  hosted by the lovely Brock McLaughlin. Doesn’t he look like James Dean. Swoon. Tweetgasm is fun. I’m going to host one in October. Stay tuned for that. Boogie down baby. I went for 60’s Twiggy mod. Auditioned for a ghosty show today with Lauren O’Nizzle. It was fun. I hope they pick us. There were some nice outfits. I’m going to have a theme for my Tweetgasm too. Idea submissions encouraged. THE END.

Remembered for setting the world on fire.

Andy Warhol: I wonder if people are going to remember us? Edie Sedgwick: What, when we’re dead? Andy Warhol: Yeah. Edie Sedgwick: Well I think people will talk about how you changed the world. Andy Warhol: I wonder what they’ll say about you… in your obituary. I like that word. Edie Sedgwick: Nothing nice, I don’t think. Andy Warhol: No no, come on. They’d say, “Edith Minturn Sedgwick: beautiful artist and actress… Edie Sedgwick: …and all around loon. Andy Warhol: …Remembered for setting the world on fire… Edie Sedgwick: …and escaping the clutches of her terrifying family… Andy Warhol: …Made friends with eeeeverybody, and anybody… Edie Sedgwick: …creating chaos and uproar wherever she went. Divorced as many times as she married, she leaves only good wishes behind. [laughs] Edie Sedgwick: That’s nice, isn’t it?
