Every Day is a Chance to Make Your Life Better

The last couple days I’ve been feeling really exhausted. I wondered if I’m getting sick and refuse to let that happen. This morning I dragged myself out of bed ready for a new routine. When I was in away in the hot sun last month I still worked every day but I added things to my life that made it better, long walk on the beach, smoothie for breakfast, writing in my journal. When I returned to the hustle and bustle of city life, I got caught up in the rush and lumped right back into old habits, drinking, eating bad etc. I got to thinking last night that there is nothing standing in my way of eating healthier and doing more exercise. I have a damn grocery store across the street and two gyms downstairs for christs sake! Took one look right into iPhoto and said STOP BEING A LAZY WOMAN! Every single day that passes is a chance to make your life better, to start volunteering, to help a friend, to clean your room, to buy better groceries, to walk instead of transit, to hit the gym instead of the bar. You are the director of your movie, cast who you want to star in it and live out the script of your dreams. I’m drinking a smoothie, watching The IT Crowd on Netflix and cleaning my room AND when I stop for break I will be at the gym. Enjoy the day! Do something amazing 🙂 Love, Casie xo P.S. All I packed/need for seven full days fits into my Rimowa super light suitcase & Nella Bella Melbourne bag. Key to the perfect travel outfit for me is layering. Today I wore a little black cotton dress w/ sheer long skirt, cardigan, tights, heels & a hat. I could feel the warm air when we landed so I ditched the cardigan and tights before I left the plane. Found my suitcase in the airplane magazine! I promise I’m not a diva. Haha! The place I’m staying is a Mexican Melrose Place! First meal was tacos as a place called Kool Fish. Shrimp, yum! Went for a stroll around town. Pretty quiet. However, it IS Monday. Think it gets a little wilder come weekend. Made plans to party it up on Saturday. Had THE BEST Mayan chocolate ice cream. This photos is for Mum because she was all like “don’t drink the water”. Look Ma, all is gonna be just fine. Ate about 100 of these just now. The Pistachios that is. Gonna do the Insanity workout in the AM with the crew at casa Thynk Taynk in the AM then do some work and hit the beach. See y’all tomorrow.

Festival Music House! MOD Club! TIFF!

Wednesday night was the third and final night of the TIFF Festival Music House. Casie posted about the second night earlier (here) and last night I moseyed over to the MOD Club to party it up and take some photos of the oh so amazing bands! Pictured above and below? Parlovr! They’re from Montreal and dreamy. They whip their hair around and are super funny. I want to go on a road trip with them. We’d go to lots of funny tacky tourist traps and diners, then write fast songs to dance to about it all after! Next up was Hey Rosetta! from Halifax. Their album Seeds is up for this year’s Polaris Music Prize! They’re amazing live, and one of my favourites! You for sure should check them out. Woohoo! Following was The Rural Alberta Advantage! So fun so fun so fun! The Arkells brought the fantastic night of music to a close. So much awesome. Thanks Art & Crafts and Rock-it Promotions for putting on this crazy shindig!
