don’t hold back, you can fly kid, you can

Don’t doubt yourself. Don’t hold back. Just go. Just do it. Don’t stand in your way. Live. Live it out. Go all the way. Be free. Throw your arms up and over your head. Look up at the sky. Reach for it. Your dreams aren’t that far away. If you can see them you can reach them. You can achieve them. You can fly kid. You can. Stretch out those arms and soar like an eagle.

“You can’t fly with the eagles if you’re with the seagulls.”

Saturday night was a fun one. After a lovely dinner it was time to make blood and put on the war paint.

It’s amazing how you can look so lovely on one minute and completely disgusting the next.

Zombie Wonder Woman is one of my new fav’s. It was a total hit.

Kory made a very pretty Queen of Hearts. I look so scary and gross in this one.

These masks are scary too…aaah.

too cool for school and lots to learn

I met so many people, got to have meetings around the place. It’s really cool guys. I mean really cool. It’s much different from working in an old factory loft for an online gaming company.  It’s a big place, a really big place. It’s it’s like a maze filled with new people, news and lots of TV’s.

My wrist arthritis  is hurting. Whining. Had to ice it and yes mum I put on the Arnica.  I could use a big box of Aleve or a Tylenol Arthritis sponsorship. I feel like  a Nana. Maybe it’s the rain.

I was informed the same rainbow puking unicorn I posted the other day showed up on Postsecret. Was it one of you guys? It wasn’t me.

On Friday we had drinks at School bakery & cafe bar in Liberty Village beside the old office. I had been there about a week earlier to meet a friend for lunch. A girl was taking photos  that day and then I showed up in a review of School in the Globe & Mail last week.  Check ‘er out.

first day

It’s my first day at Much MTV today. I’ll update later as I am running out the door now and expect it to be a busy day.

I hope you all had a great weekend. I’ve got a bunch of photos from Sat night. I was Zombie Wonder Woman…aka Dead Sexy Wonder Woman. It was great.

Have a wonderful day 🙂

lessons in zombieism: halloween how-to

you will need chocolate syrup, cornstarch, red food dye, white face paint, black (eyeliner/shadow) and some green if you have it. take off your shirt. don’t wash your face or hair. dirtier the better.

mix 2/3 chocolate syrup with corn starch and add a bunch of red dye drops. shake/mix. it will be kinda runny. let it sit while you pick out some clothes.

FYI, it will wash off your face really easy and off of any black clothes. remember you can be any kind of zombie ex. zombie version of yourself, zombie fireman, zombie schoolgirl.

put your zombie outfit on so you can wipe your hands on your clothes.

dip a chopstick into the blood and let it drip on your skin making beautiful blood drips. take a sip and let it run out of your mouth and down your face.

don’t be afraid to wipe your face with your sleeve and let the blood drip down again. it will layer as it dries and beginning to look more real. black out your eyes, smudge it all in good. mix some green. smudge. go eat brains.

see more zombie photos and my 30 second zombie movie.

happy halloween friends 🙂

if a blog falls in the forest does anybody read it?

It’s almost Friday, already. I’m nervous and excited. November is Sunday and since September I’ve moved up almost 15 floors, got a new job and have a happy heart .  I stuck to my goals and keep my thoughts positive. I have a really good idea for Nuit Blanche next year and it’s beautiful in my mind. I’ve been dreaming of an iphone. I’m nervous and excited about everything. My skin tingles through my veins.

Last week I got a new mascara in the mail as a member of  Chick Advisor’s Product Review Club. ChickAdvisor is a girls resource for reviews and advice on stuff they like.

It made my lashes longer. It’s  lite on your lashes, soft almost. It’s a good day mascara. I do two coats.

It brushes on nicely. The brush is a combination between that skinny plastic kind d the fluffier brush one.

My lashes feel soft and not all mascara-ish. I would use it again.  My current favorite is the vibrating mascara, it’s a bit more expensive.

Twitter came out with lists yesterday. I made one list so far it is a growing collection of Toronto Blog Girls. I’m on a couple lists made by other including Toronto Twitterati, Social Community Alliance and Toronto Arts.

I got a really lovely shout out this week from my penpal Hillzy on her blog.  Keep blogging sista!

Big thanks to Two Belt & E1E ♥

why is it always so hard to remember them

I had a really interesting dream last night. I moved to this house in Montreal. It was huge. I shared a really big room with a friend but it wasn’t small it was really big. It had it’s own bathroom. There were lots of things around the house from the people who  lived there before.  Maybe they still lived there. The house was really old too.

There were a bunch of people that lived there. Madison Mitchell lived there and I saw her in action. There was a trap door under the floor near my bed that had a room with four bunk beds.  I had so much closet space to put all my clothes that I wanted more and more. The house was near a ski hill and it was winter.

I wish I had that much closet space, today is closet organizing day.New rack will be delivered in about an hour.  The goal is all clothes have a home. Good luck to me.

the only rule: don’t spill it

Last night I stopped into The Hazelton for Macallan Scotch tasting.  Wasn’t sure if I was gonna to make it through. I thought, ‘I don’t know if I can handle drinking scotch but I’m sure going to try’. I had a good time at the vodka tasting last time.

I arrived with Keri and sat down right across from Cheryl who I know as @Cherrysberries. We had a lovely Quebecois man named Mark showing us the Macallan.

It wasn’t long before I spotted a bunch of familiar faces around the room…

Some things I learned:

  • pay attention to how the scotch feels in your mouth
  • distilled beer is whiskey
  • women have better sense of smell
  • takes 12 years to make a 12 year whiskey
  • no right or wrong way to drink scotch
  • don’t put it in the freezer
  • ice ball has less surface area than an cube and melts slowly

The whole time I was tasting these I thought “I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Mmm, mmm, mmm. Here it goes down, down into my belly.” haha

Macallan 12 – added water, comes from Spanish oak, little bit of wood smoke, valinna woith hints of ginger, smooth palet, sweet toffee finish, dried fruit…

Macallan 15 – fine oak – lighter in colour

Macallan 18 – fine sherry oak, darker

Macallan 21 – like a fine ballerina on stage exquisite single malt

Whiskey stones are better than icecubes. If you don’t get the expensive ones you can go to Lake Ontario, bend down, pick up some stones, wash with wiskey, put in the freezer, use as ice rocks.

To ensure they don’t ruin their wood supply, they don’t cut more than they plant; they plan ahead 100 years for that fine oak.

That’s pretty cool. I recon making a hundred year plan is a good idea.
