The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.

Today was a weird kinda day, well it has been so far. I slept in, woke up with a hurting back and felt like I was hit by a truck. I even went to bed early last night, so totally strange. Just drained I guess. Didn’t last long though, I was energized by Lucia when we shared lunch at BQM on Queen Street. That’s our spot. Came home, did some business and scooting out to a last minute consulting appointment. Looking forward to GenYTO tomorrow. Gonna be a fun time. Last night at the Gap Inc. online shopping launch they gave us each a $100 Visa card to use in the online store. I totally used it last night, this is what I got. Pretty excited for new Fall clothes to arrive at my door. Thanks Gap Inc PR! Lets do that again! Giving people gift cards to actually TRY out the online shopping expereince is a great idea. I probably would have not tried it otherwise. The experience was pretty good, stress free and the interface was nice/easy to use . Go outside. It’s lovely out there. Won’t belong till these hot hot days go far away! xo

TweetgasmTO V1.2 with lazers and stuff yo.

Was home at a decent hour after Tweetgasm last night. Thanks for everyone who came out. There was a neat art display in room 212 upstairs and Lynsie and some friends played with lazers!! We tried like crazy to make hearts, this one is the best we got. Good thing she is a photographer and knows how to work a camera. I would have never figured out how to make fancy light show photos. I know now! Yay. The mural in the little Twitter room was pretty rad too. Next Tweetgasm is late September, stay tuned for that. Quite looking forward to GenYTO on Thursday, over 235 people confirmed! New faces and old friends will make for a great time. I’m heading to Andrew Richard Designs shortly, Gap Inc. is having a launch party for their new online shopping site. Kinda crazy they didn’t have online shopping in Canada till now eh? kiss me like that in your fall attire please

Feeling some serious arthrisis today. Ankle and arm wrapped in castor oil compress. Mum would be proud. She’s still sailing away to Bahamas, they won’t get there until some time near winter. Feels like Fall today, air is cooler, sun is hiding. Summer is deff over. I’ve got a stay in bed all day kinda feeling but I can’t do that, I’ve got work to do. Feeling a bit overwhelmed. Need to send more info to NZFW for my visit. I can’t believe I am going to NZ. Send stats to Wakestock too. This next year is gong to be really exciting. I hope to get to Europe and/or Asia (just throwin it out there). Haven’t seen my sis lately. Have an event tomorow night at Andrew Richard Designs to see the new stuff from Gap and the launch of online shopping. Happy to be making friends with Gap Inc., my first job was at a Gap store in 1996. I’m in love with Fall fashion and can’t wait to rock tights and jackets again. Boots, I miss wearing boots. I hardly wore open toes this summer, I’m just not that into it. Looks like we’re gonna have a big crowd at Gladstone for TweetgasmTO tonight. GenyTO Thursday will be good too. Love that we’re getting more people out to meet & greet each other. Listening to Yacht today, good band and chill for working. I need hocus focus please. Go go gadget focus. Enjoy the day. hardly no service for two days + didn’t internet

But it was fun. Seeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! Exhausted from a whole day on the bus with the Bud gurlz. Sweet thangs they are. (HIIIIII to you if you are reading girls!) Everyone was super nice and fun especially the security and event staff. One employee girl was bit snooty but I reckon it’s because I got an outfit and didn’t wear it. Yay me! I’m wearing it NOW as I BLOG. 🙂 Overall, we had a fun time. The food was pretty good too. Nice getting there before all the boys arrived on Friday. There were so many boys. About 150 winners each with a plus 1. Watching them get off the bus and come down the gaultlet past the girls was charming. I missed the internet but not as much as I thought. Wilderness was pretty nice. Fresh air, stars, woodchips and fire. We stayed offsite at a house with full bathroom and tv which was great. Freaked out over chipmunks. I though I liked them, but no. They are cute from far but far from cute. Rascals, all nut eating and scurrying and stuff. They need to have mobile charging stations at these type of things. The cabin stayers had no outlets. None!! I hardly had phone service and couldn’t checkin on foursquare. Wahhhh. Chatted a dude about getting the mayorship but my phone was not playing nice so he got it. Learned for about $5,000 per carrier you can get a temp tower put up. That would be badass, wifi for everyone. WordPress mobile, twitter, facebook and posting via email to tumblr FTW. i love this city.

Rannie took this beautiful photo from our balcony before out shoot yesterday. We took photos for the Vitamin Water Canada blog and in his 140 project. Stay tuned for that. Good day yesterday mostly around the house working on a couple upcoming projects. Went for an evening stroll with Sabrina to Bellwoods and visited a friends roof patio for some wine and sunset. Stopped by CTS on the way, my fav shop. They had a bunch of items that were $1 and I picked up a couple vintage dresses I can totally do a Pretty in Pink switch to. I’m giving Zoey (my sewing machine) a workout this winter. Heading to the Fairlie Agency for a little co-working woith Carly-Anne today. Haircut at 4 with Darren, think I’m gonna buzz it one last time for summer. Dinner with Jeremy and some friends tonight, we finally all get to meet his crush. Loser karaoke after that but I’m gonna have to call it an early night. I still haven’t packed for Bud Camp and we leave at 7am. Check out this vid I make a cameo in by My City Lives. It’s all about me over here all the time, after all casie stewart : this is my life started as a journal about 5 years ago to keep more memories. It’s certainly worked to keep memories and has brought me lots of wonderful things like friends and opportunities. it’s more about the us than the meme

Mum is coming today and I’m really excited to see her. I’m really excited for Lady Gaga tonight too. Currently watching the Hooters Bikini pageant, it’s hot/awesome. Have you ever seen the Hooters outfit on me? It was 2005, I looked different, heavier. I never worked there, but I was close once, in my younger days. I won a pageant and bikini contest back then too. Ha. Thanks for the votes in the Virgin contest. I’m in the lead, lets keep it that way. I think the other six are under the impression it’s a job.(Yes, only six entries!) It’s just like winning an online pageant, you get to carry the title of Toronto Provocateur for the year and you have perks/duties. You get to be the party planner and 12 free trips, I have room for that in my life. I do. I would LOVE some free trips… I dream about all the people I could visit, conferences I can attend and things to explore. I’d also REALLY like to be able to leverage the stellar community we’ve got for GenyTO and do some really great/cool/fun things. I’m darn sure that’s a win-win for everyone. We’re having GenyTO on July 27th. You saw how fun the game was I went to recently. Did you know that out of the whole group, I had only ever met two of those people in real life? a small but historic hotel & noted performance venue

Thanks heaps to Jeremy for inviting us to come play at The Gladstone Hotel on Friday night. He’s the Creative Director there and deff knows how to party. We ended up doing karaoke later on (bug surprise) and thanks to everyone who bought me (way too many) drinks. The event space upstairs at Gladstone is looking like a future party spot. Chatter Jer about doing some fun things there. It would be perfect for a #GenyTO! Weeee! Gawd I looooove summer. SO much to be had like erry day. Don’t waste your time doing nothing, get off the couch and go!

i feel like a celebrity in this room with you

Woke up and had as couple great phone chats with friends. Fun night out with the work mates last night. I seriously love my work. I love what i’m doing and the people. Tomorrow May 2, marks 6 months working with MuchMTV. I was in my old job for two years and knew it wasn’t where I wanted to be. I needed to be doing somehting I loved. I loved twitter and blogging and publishing and internet and I knew I could find a job where I could show that love in a big way. I found it. There are so many new jobs popping up all the time, we’re a lucky generation to be able to say “Hey I want __________ and I’m gonna get it.” One of the video’s I did for My City Lives last week talks about GenyTO and the group of like minded individuals behind the idea that started it in Jan 2009. I’m so inspired by the friends I’ve made over the last couple years. You can watch the vid’yo here, having trouble embedding it for some reason. I always dreamed of having my own show and thanks to the internet it’s so possible for anyone. I’ve been making some vids but I would LOVE to win this $250,000 viralocity contest with Doritos… BTW, I’m sick of the work viral. I can’t enter it because of my job but it’s open to anyone in Canada over who’s ever been teenager. I checked a bunch of videos today and didn’t seen anything particularity hilarious. This one is my fav cause it’s artistic, short, cute and has good music: This is Billy, he makes youtube videos that have mega millions of views. He said key things to viralocity are: 1. Humor 2. Short & Sweet 3. Unique. Sounds kinda like me doesn’t it. heheh… I joke. You gotta have creativity too. Friday night’s #genyto #Canlit was awesome. Rannie took all these great shots. I was on video recording all night. Rannie & Renee, loves! Coleman at the boozy table. Got to #genyto #canlit about 9er. Hi from some of the babes! Drank, danced, chatrouletted party style, took some vids, the usual stuff. BTW, chat roulette is REALLY fun at parties. It’ll catch on for that reason I think. Try it next time and tell me about it. Was very successfully not hungover. Looking back though all the video’s, I’m kinda surprised. Met a bunch of internet Tweeps and blog readers IRL which is always exciting. I have about 50 video’s. Most of them are for a little movie project that I was planning to start at sundown but I was fucking around with an Ikea bed that I am now going to return. Soooofuuuuhhhhkingpisssssssedoffaboutit. Met Louis Lautman last night at Notable TV’s premiere of The YES Movie. I asked him to tell you about the movie since it’s his movie [see video]. He said it’s kinda like The Secret on steroids meets MTV. Would really like to know if the young peeps in the movie have blogs, Tweet etc. Also, making lotsa money like that, these kids should be rocking serious style/designer shit. Was surprised at the style, I expected more savy! Watched part of the movie today. Couldn’t make it last night, stopped by to see Raymi before #genyto #canLit. Nice guy, very tall and says ‘theater’ with an accent. He started the Young Entrepreneur Society, so naturally I chatted him about entrepreneurship. I’m really into the big E. I firmly believe and know I can have anything I want , this is my life. He also told me he didn’t know how to spell ‘entrepreneurship’ for a long time, said lots of people have trouble with it. I’ve never had that problem. I won Young Entrepreneur of Cambridge when I was 15 for starting a publishing company. Little did I know then I’d become a modern daily internet daily social publisher. I spend lotsa my time going to these events, Tweetups, Genyto, etc these babies are really all about a crowd, a crown full of entrepreneurial thinkers.
