“It’s All About ME” Documentary an Official Selection for Commfest Film Festival
The last few weeks have been filled with so many great things and it’s not about to stop! I found out yesterday that the documentary I filmed last year with director Antoine Gaber about genY and millennials has been selected and will be premiering at the Commfest Global Film Festival on September 14th. I’m moving from small screen and second screen TO THE BIG SCREEN!
The feature documentary “It’s all about ME” will be screened on Saturday 14 September 2013 at 8:30PM at the Rainbow Cinema (80 Front St E, Toronto, ON, Canada, M5E 1T4). I’ll keep you posted about tickets and when I’ll be walking the red carpet! 🙂

Toronto Mini Maker Fare: 3D Printing & more!
I’ve told you about my love for 3D printing for months now and today is a special day, my bf is having a 3D printer delivered to his office, it’s also his birthday. [LOVE YOU!] (He subscribes so this will be in his email :)) You can subscribe too.
I so freaking excited to learn how to print in 3D. Next month is the Toronto Mini Maker Faire where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning. I’m stoked to soak up inspiration and see just what’s possible.
For two days, innovators, artists and hackers from all over the city are busting out of their garages to take part in the biggest show and tell around. It’s going to be 3D printing, robots, Tesla talk, flame throwing unicorns, oh y’know, all my fav nerdy things. Gahhhhhh. A friend on the organizing team called it “burning man meets craft show” so when she emailed me I knew I had to tell you. You’ll get the to make and learn through interactive activities and workshops too.

- Learn how to solder
- Take your skills up a notch by attending a hands-on workshop
- Find a project that inspires you and talk to the maker who built it!

Exciting news! Meet my first post in a partnership with one of my fav companies in the world, VICE! I’ve been reading the mag for about 10 years after finding it outside a cool little boutique in Bondi Beach, Australia. Boyfriend Style – Hamilton Watch Skeltonized Caliber
Meet my new partner, Hamilton retro men’s watch. It’s quite sexy. New style in their viewmatic series, officially called “The Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic Skeleton”. Caliber has automatic movement, exclusive to Hamilton and this one is on a leather strap.
I love watches as bracelets, I check my phone so often I don’t need a watch to tell time. About a year ago I had a different, smaller Hamilton Watch, it was on long-term loan. I loved it.

Ted Baker London – NYC 5th Avenue Grand House
Started the day in style with Starbucks, sunshine and a smile. This is the lovely Patricia ⬆ and ⬇ that’s not how you spell my name but I didn’t care one bit, I was in NY and it was Friday. ❤
This was en route to the essence NY head office, (Justin Bieber’s concert sponsor). NY cabs are cheaper than Toronto, feels like you drive for ages before you hit $20.

Our next stop was the Ted Baker London 5th Avenue Grand House. It is gorgeous. Still looks like an old house in many ways, even how the clothes are hung and accessories displayed. Right away I said, “WHEN CAN I MOVE IN?” I loved it.
I adore the new prints from Ted. I got a this great new bag, pants, a few scarves, and much needed grown lady wallet.
I absolutely love travelling. It’s less than three weeks before I head to California for six days with bloggers and best friends. I can’t wait! Working on a post this week for the NY Ted Baker blog about my fav Toronto spots. Any suggestions? LMK! See other posts w/ Ted and me here.
I’m going to make this week really, really great. We’re closer to Friday than normal and we are closer to the end of summer I care to admit. Put a smile on that face of yours and flash it around.

Professional Tennis 2013: Venus & Serena
I had no idea who was playing in the first round today when my Rogers Cup tickets arrived from National Bank.I though a Monday night match with my man would be a nice way to finnish off a great long weekend.
I’ve never been to this tennis match because I’ve been so hardcore Telus for ages. I still love Telus. It’s crazy how sporting events are branded. Brands everywhere, everywhere a brand, brand. I really liked the Xerox 360 camera booth (got a poster and flipbook) and I won a magazine from the Rogers Zone, the National Bank booth with Andrew Richards Design furniture was a nice place to relax. I saw several charging stations and had free parking with the tickets. There is a shuttle from parking to front door and it’s on until August 11th. Overal fun time and so cool to see IRL, actually.
Turns out I picked a great night to come to a match…
Two awesome players (and sisters woot!), Venus and Serena Williams played doubles in an exhibition w/ Monica Seles and Eugenie Bouchard. Not bad for my first ever professional tennis match. There was a great atmosphere and I enjoyed myself a lot! I’ve even looked into getting tennis lessons myself now. All I need is a good racquet and some tennis balls and I’m good to go. I’ve learned more about us, especially myself, in this tennis match! It’s certainly ignited a flame I didn’t know I had.

Wearing new pants I got at Ted Baker in NY. Had a great dinner of sushi, roast beef, vegetables, and fried chicken in the Buick Canada premium lounge. Sat in the National Bank Financial section.
I absolutely love how quiet it is when they are playing tennis. All you hear are the sounds players make and dishes clanging in sponsor boxes. I’ve heard Wimbledon gives off a similar experience and oozes luxury, so I’d definitely want to go to a Wimbledon match at some point (click here if you do too!) I used to take tennis lessons in high school at the Doon Raquet Club. I like this game. I’m going to check out Play Your Court Tennis when I get home. For sure.

Heading to Manhattan and Staying in a Dream
Bag packed and heading to Porter after work. Catching a 7:30pm to Newark, NJ w/ my press escort aka Patricia. My trip is with essence cosmetics, the UK’s #1 brand who also happens to be the title sponsor of JB’s tour.
We arrive in NY just in time to head out on the town for Thursday night drinks. I was last in NY in January and about a year before that so pretty stoked to be back in the Big Apple!
We’re staying at Dream NYC in Manhattan and apparently all of JB’s peeps too. Tomorrow I plan to sleep in then hit up the NY Ted Baker store to get a new outfit for Friday night. Hardly packed anything!
Counting down till 5:30pm when I head to airport. Hellooooooooooo long weekend! Have an awesome day!
