Let me introduce you to my new friend, Bicyclette Boutique on Queen Street. I met the darling owner Paige on Twitter and after browsing the site, I knew we would get along. The shop is filled with pretty things, vintage, white space, foreign style, mirrors and heaps of shiny things. Paige opened the shop in March, although she’s had two pop-up shops and an online presence for a while. It’s totally my kind of shop. Look at all these things. I wish I had my closet organized like a store. Paige calls it “urban meets fairytale“. See, so me. *sprinkles glitter* I was trying on outfits for the Fashion Connect panel: 265 people have tickets. Cripes. The night is about fashion & technology so, the other day I called out on Twitter to see if someone wanted to outfit me for the night. That’s how Paige & I met. Her twitter is @shopbicyclette. I love meeting people who love what they do. We had a great chat today. Hi Paige! She was at the Blog Stars talk I did last year with Raymi, Sean & Carly. Nice to know she’s had an eye on my blog. I heard about her pop up shop last summer via Twitter 😉 How great is the internet? Pretty awesome great. The shop had a steady flow of girls in & out while I was there. Then, who walked in the door? Only the lovely Carla…who I see EVERYWHERE! It’s All About Me: I am in a documentary.

Earlier this year I was filmed for a documentary called ‘It’s All About Me‘ directed by Antoine Gaber (LA/Toronto). The first trailer is now online and HERE IT IS. The film is all about GenY and technology. I always get nervous when something I’m in comes out. Gah! It’s getting submitted to festivals around the world later this month. My scenes were filmed at Darren Kwik Studio and Bicyclette Boutique on Queen in March 2012. I can’t wait to see the whole thing next year. MY FACE ON THE BIG SCREEN GUISEEEEE! Was at the beach this weekend soaking up sunshine and taking in the breeze from the lake . I’m so ready for summer to get here. Sunnies are the best accessory a girl can have, after sunscreen. I recently picked out three styles that I totally love: cat eye, high fashion, and vintage feel. They were gifts, thanks Lumette and Clearly Contacts. Took these photos yesterday, enjoy! Derek Cardigan Sun 7005 – Brown Tortoiseshell – $59.00 Cat eye is so hot right now. I love pin-up girl style, they remind me of the 60’s. A fav style of Nicole Richie and designs by Tom Ford. These ones are designed by Derek Cardigan from Vancouver, I interviewed him a couple weeks ago. Lumette, Vedrina – Storm Cloud – $220.00 Based in NY, Lumete is a fav of Dita Von Teese. Sunglasses are handmade and the lenses are hard coated CR39 to avoid scratches. The hard clutch case is shaped like a butterfly. These ones are so beautiful & stylish. Perry Ellis Demi Blonde – $135.00 These ones remind me of a vintage pair of Ferrari glasses I had years ago. They’re a an aviator shape with greenish grey lenses. Frame is tortoise acetate and matte gold metal. Top – Audrey from Bicyclette, Jeans – Cheap Monday from Peacock Parade, Converse ‘Dainty’ in Banana ♥ Make love, not war ♥

Through the looking glass…what do you see in there, Alice?

I love this photo. We had fun today. Darren Kwik cut a few hairs on camera while we chatted Pinterest at his interest. Next up was Bicyclette. I love that store so much (which is why I suggested we go there). Remember last year I did a full tour? It’s sequins, lace, chains and all kinds of pink, flowy, flowery things I want to wear. I can only imagine how great it feels to be Paige, the darling owner, she works in my/a dream closet. I bought a rainbow at the art supply store on my way home and and chalked Kate’s hair over drinks. Pinterest hair. I’m going to turquoise mine next week. Her life is a chick flick and I love it. Some things and thoughts…

There was a really beautiful sky last night. I love the view from our place. Living near the water is something I adore. I prefer the ocean but the lake is good too. Was recently sent a couple gift cards for Tim Horton’s so I could try out the new lattes. They were super nice to send a few extra so (I did a secret contest and) surprised a couple people with a gift. Tried the vanilla latte and it was ok. I reckon I prefer Tim’s regular coffee. So many memories as soon as I take a sip. Have you tried the Tim’s latte, what did you think? Going to Tim’s with Dad as a kid was one of my fav things to do on the weekends. He would always read the Toronto Sun. I remember we’d always check out the Sunshine Girl which is why I think I wanted to be one. Crazy that was over ten years ago. I think I look younger/better now. Gimme a donut meowwww! Boston creme is my fav treat from Tim Hortons. Next week I’m heading to Boston for a visit with friends. When I arrive we’re going straight to the museum then a Rocky Horror show at night. Preeeeeeeety stoked. Saw this painting at a meeting today. Liked it. Moooooooo. Went to Earl’s last night with Stephen. The Financial District is such an interesting place. Everyone looks the same, sea of suits. Spin around in a world of fashion, tech & glitter for one day.

First stop today was Sherway Gardens with Barbie. I got a Fousqaure “Mall Rat” badge (shame!) cause I’ve been to five malls. Ok, that’s not really bad. If you get to ten you get another badge. I’m not much of a mall-goer anymore so it’s especially exciting to do a couple laps during the holidays. Love the decorations, the tree and today I even saw Santa. Got a new hard drive to back up my Macbook Air baby, James Dean. Technology is so stylish. Today I fact checked something about my life from this post. It was about ten days ago but I could not for the life of me remember. New app Diptic lets me do cool things with photos like make them into the four below. This other app I downloaded is 360 Panoramic, check out this I made in the dressing room. Might just be my new fav thing (of the week). I don’t have the option to embed the 360 but here’s a screenshot. If you click either image the real 360 pano will open in a new window and you can have a full spin around. Pretty neat app! It’s $.99 at the corner store. Nerd candy. First outfit is what I wore today, black lace bottom dress from Bicyclette, skully cardigan from somewhere and leopard hat from H&M. At StyleExchange I got this heart sweater, leopard sheer number was too big, loved the sleeveless chiffon button down. Got this darling holiday sweater at CTS, my fav spot, I’m Mayor on 4sq. George Strombo’s TIFF Takeover at The Hazelton

Cue Katy Perry TGIF cause last Friday night Keri, Lauren and I had an awesome time at The Hazelton and I’d do it allllllllll again.Red carpet love from your three fav blondes 🙂 There were thousands of people gathered around watching. I wore a top from Bicyclette, American Apparel Late Night Disco Shorts and Jeffrey Campbell pixie wedges with Zebra nails & matching purse. Most of these next photos are from Keri’s blog, check it here. I didn’t take camera. I spy Julian & Notable.ca. I met CLIVE OWEN. I love him. My fav role he played was in Closer with Natalie, Julia and Jude. He was beautiful and charming in person, just like in my dreams. Mega swoon. Bono, Jason Reitman, Gerard Butler, Juliette Lewis, Jon Hamm and heaps more celebs were there too. Thanks for another great party George. CBC Live tweeted that we were there along with all the celebs. How cool is that Mum?! Finally met Amber Mac. Her name comes up all the time, she said the same, although we had never met in person before. Super nice girl. Been following her for years. Sarah Was super cute and said “ahhh my fav bloggers all together”. Her post is here. More blonde blogging babes! Lynsie is covering Fashion Week in London. Congrats girl! Kris was my fav meet of the evening. I was certain he was Chris Martin from Coldplay but he is an actor on Tudors who is also a Pentathlon, riding and fencing champion. Mega catch there. For sure my fav party of the whole Toronto Film Festival. It was great to see all kinda of people I hardly see on the regular. Thanks Strombo & CBC for doing it up again this year. these are a few of my favourite things (right now)

This post if full of things that add glitter to my life. Thought I’d share with ya. Bangs from Doll Bar, Olympus PEN, vintage hats. I’ve been trying a new routine of going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. Once you get outta bed, you can really accomplish heaps before the day really started. That’s my September goal: do more before 10am than most people do in a whole day. My October goal is: go to England or New Zealand. Settin’ em high. YES WE CAN. Sprocket Rocket camera from Lomography. I’ve got heaps of film because, frankly, I’m not that good at using the camera so I need to take heaps of shots before I can be considered good. Analogue is haaaarrrrrrd. New duvet cover is the alphabet, say hello to my ALPHA bed. See what I did there? Oh yeah, creative play on words. New flowery pillow looks painted and that eye mask is from Keri. I sleep with an eye mask pretty much every night. I live in a glass box, it’s SO SUPER sunny in the AM! Although, getting to sleep is never a problem thanks to my new memory foam mattress. According to bestmattress-reviews, there are a number of quality options at a lower price than you’d think. Gadget love: iPad (Andy), Macbook Air (James Dean), Android (Motorola DEFY), Logitech wireless mouse. I spend most the day with these guys. Ok, here’s something really amazing….you won’t BELIVE how tall I am with these legendary things strapped on. Aren’t they beautiful? They’re Jeffrey Campbell and I ordered them online at Solestruck. Stopped by the park after a meeting today. Was real pretty, hot & relaxing. Stopped into Bicyclette. Noticed my tan is getting serious. WEAR SUNSCREEN. Paige I would like to read this book. Thought it was for sale! Book is all stories from author “Dear [company] about his life, him being over qualified. Basically, how cover letters are BS. Inspiring blog posts in the making here. This is what I got. It’s handmade in Bolivia. Look who it is! My babe Lynsie Roberts photography. The shop is so damn cute. Every time I go there I wanna get like 10 dresses. I want this next time. Was on hunt for a patio where you can get mani/pedi AND have a beer. There isn’t one. I went to 10 SPot which was totally lovely. They have wifi so I could work & get nails done. Total win! Me, working. The result! I will deff be back. Hope we can chat about working together. Having a go-to nail tech would be AWESOME. The lovely babe who did my nails was a total sweet. Thank you! Dinner tonight then I really have to pack for this work trip. Clean clothes mountain is resting on my bed. Meh, that can wait, too many things to be excited about including sunshine & warm weather.

Went to Robyn at Echo Beach w/ Raymi & Teach Friday night. It was awesome. Echo Beach is a new fully outdoor venue inside the Molson Amphitheatre. Stoked to hit that up a bunch this summer. Close to home & cool outdoor spot. Total win. Raymi Teach & I had VIP. Beauty sky. Girl you know it’s true. Glitteratzi graffiti. Love our downtown airport. Toronto is such a cool city. Capture the Rapture

Didn’t need my alarm to wake up this morning, bounced right out of bed about 7:30am. Today is gonna be long and exciting. Cheryl’s wedding is at 3pm in Kitchener and I’ve got a heaps of things to get done before then. Dress is really pretty & from Bicyclette on Queen. Cruised over there with Jenie yesterday in my fancy new Ford Fusion. Sunroof will be fun for driving/singing in the sun today. Gardener is closed for the weekend, very quiet. I can’t believe this day is finally here. It’s like, really intense man. Cheryl and I went to Australia together and were BFFs through college & uni. Mega reunion, biggest oneof my life so far. We’re all staying at the same hotel too. Cheryl has the same orange/blue ring tattoo on her right hand. Took Keri & my sis to dinner and Bridesmaids last night. Really good movie. So funny. I’m enjoying having a car & cruising around. Will feel great to escape the city. I need break from this crazy place. Mum, I wish you were here to be at Cheryl’s wedding today. You know I love my bike, biking, bicyclette. If you don’t, you might wanna do some homework in the company Bike archives. (Duh, where have you been?) There she is. She needs a physical, some real attention. Let’s hope she’s gonna make it. Last week I dropped her off to the Curbside Cycle on Bloor to see if we can bring her back to life. Fingers crossed! I was introduced to Curbside after learning they carried the ORONTAS BikeCare line. Orontas is an alternative oil company with “a reckless commitment to do better”. Their products are biodegradable, petroleum-free and they look nice. Attention bike nerds/hipsters, you should have this stuff already. It just came out Spring 2011. Orontas is a lifestyle maintenance company based in Toronto (cool eh!). They manufacture and distribute high performance, sustainable and nontoxic products (and tongue twisters). I read on the Curbside Blog that Cervelo uses this stuff. they brighten my room

Got my hair done yesterday. I go to Darren Kwik Studio on Queen Street right across from Bicyclette near trinity Bellwoods. Y’know, right here. Darren is an award winning stylist who is always in mags etc. He just signed up for Twitter here. Call the studio & treat yourself, 416 361 1016. You deserve it. Tell them we are friends. We are. This is what good blonde looks like. It’s super blonde/white and buzzed short. Feels nice. I always like it best after a couple days. Shaved head feels so nice though. Went to my fav vintage shop to get a hat for Royal high tea today and cute Aussie boy said he “had a thing for girls with shaved heads”. I told him he could touch it, he did. Shaved head gives boys this cute look on their faces. Way different than long hair girl, something real sexy about the shave. This video has almost 8,000 views. Darren did a quick shave too. Stud. You can buy these for your shrine if you want. Very expensive, original human Casie Stewart hair. Just kidding. Not kidding. Kidding. You will never know. Fresh & new. Androids everywhere. Attended a Spring shopping party at Harry Rosen the other night. There was a band, live radio broadcast & free drinks. Julio and I had a good chuckle. I like to have fun at these fashioney things y’know. These guys are The Darcy’s and they were playing live. Rumor has it Harry Rosen plans to have more ‘Underground Lounge’ events. I approve of this rumor and fully support. Aren’t they cute? Ok my pix now. I was daydreaming about an army of Casie-Bots like this… I took my very own dream boat and we shopped denim. Option numero uno: Option deux was a hit with me, the sales guy and the ladies who walked by saying “hot”. Thanks Michael Rozenwald for your help. Sold. Shopping parties are fun. Nice to see everyone & nice clothes. One of the things I did not like was this scissor wall. Freaked me right out. One of the things I did like was this D&G ‘Cry Baby’ Johnny Depp tee. As seen on Whiz Kalifa here. (Scissors, scissor hands Johnny, connection there?) Save yourself the ≈$200 price tag & to Bang-On & make one yourself. DIY FTW!

I mean in the election. I don’t care WHO you vote for just vote. People fought for our right to have a say, some people in the world don’t have that opportunity. Enough on that for now. I don’t EVEN wanna get started. The whole reason I was REALLY talking about voting is for two reasons. First: If you click on this photo and vote for me WE win $250 at ticketmaster gift card.
