I’m going international.

First stop – Auckland, New Zealand for the 10th Anniversary of NZ Fashion Week! I am happy to be attending as a media VIP.  I’ll be covering the week’s event, meeting designers and talking with sponsors. Stoked. Photos by Lynsie Roberts Since I’ve been to NZ and AM a Kiwi I’ve grown up with New Zealnd influenced style this is REALLY exciting to me. They are always ahead of North American style over there. In 2004 I came back from down under wearing cowboy boots, skinny jeans with a mullet and a fedora. Two years later, skinny jeans on everyone. I can not WAIT to see how they Fashion Week in New Zealand. Style parade!! I leave for NZ  Sept. 18th for about 10 days. Will hopefully get to see some of my Kiwi cuzzies. I’ll be posting more about my adventure as it gets closer. Right now I’m near Napanee and there about 100 Bud Girls getting ready for Bud Camp right now. Have a great weekend!! TGIF! 🙂

the view from our office is terrible

Setting up a blog/twitter for Mum today so she can update while on her sailing adventure. Gonna spend more time with my sketchbook I reckon. We hung out last night and, we really miss each other. The Unnecessary Wheels Collection is growing. If you have no idea what the heck I am talking about you should browse over Borderline Artistic, my art blog or check out some of the first ones I drew in this old post. Two of my fav’s are the bong with wheels and the blackberry with wheels. I want to have an art show within the next year. I’ve got so many things I created hiding  away, they want to come out, they want to see your eyes and give you feelings. Postsecret, all about feelings. I hear you lady, I want my own adventure TOO! Made some new friends last night at drum circle & Squirley’s. HI THERE! Interesting enough, I met one babe who looks exactly like Brett from Flight of the Conchords or exactly like an old BF or two, or three. Whoops.  I always seem to find them/they find me, maybe I do have a type afterall. 🙂 Hitting up the free Metric show tonight with O’Nizzle, 7pm Union Station. After that we’ve got fittings with Raymi & Carly of our ZEUGARI swimsuits for Wakestock. We’re staying at a loft in Blue Mountain, it is going to be epic fun. Get ready for lots of bikini’s & babes all weekend. I tried this one on the other day….ooh hubba hubba. Excited x 1,000,000. If you’re gonna be there lemme know ok. Have an awesome day xo

I love airports.

I wish I could have stayed longer. I like floating in the pool. I got a tan. This looks like Carrie Bradshaw’s book, no? It was nice seeing all the faces. Heaps of hugs. Bucket list checked again. Clear skies. Open roads. Feel the music. Raise a glass. Happy heart. Heading home. Flying high. Until next time, I will miss you. * sent via wordpress mobile on the tarmac at boston logan

Omg. Last night was so fun. Love you friends!

I still have about 100 pounds of makeup on my eyes but I don’t care. I was at Machine last night in Boston (Cambridge, Mass). It was aweeeeeesome. I have so many friends here. I haven’t even left Boston but can’t wait to come back. Danced my booty off, met MTV Boston and a totally hot little lez. Good night overall. Not hungover either. Pretty proud of how I handled my booze this weekend. I must be maturing. Watching Back to the Future in my hotel now, today is a good day. Nus Cabana tonight for Michael’s birthday. Smirnoff Experience tomorrow. Life is good.

Pahk the cah in Havahd Yahd.

Today I stopped by Harvard and got this picture to prove it. Before coming here I asked my Tweeps what I should do in Boston and O’Nizzle said to check out the legendry S&S Resto in Cambridge, Mass, so today we did. This photo was taken the year I was born. The place has been open for ages, since 1919 and heaps of famous people have dined there. Figured I should pass through too. Heh heh, ya never know how famous you’ll be until you try, ok.  For reals. Check out this hot babe, the mama of the joint: It was really great! Pretty good service, ok coffee. This was my brekky, zomg it was nomnomnom. Pretty sure I recognized this guy, does he not look like Old Spice guy? Uh, yeah… It could be. Honestly. I bet Old Spice guy travelled back in time in his time machine and hand painted this image of himself, using magic leprechaun tears as the water with paint he created and blended with his own bare hands. What an incredible man he is.  Wow. These are my Boston Besties B & E after brekky. Yannis was there too but somebody had to snap the pic eh. I always wanted to visit Harvard so we did that next. I didn’t really have anything in particular I wanted to see, I just wanted to be there. Mostly snap a couple pix and checkin on foursquare. Yes, I am wearing a foursquare day tank. So nerdy. I really hoped a Harvard hottie would notice TBH, but none did. They’re probs all studying and shit. Picked up a couple things from The Coop and toured around. If I lived here I would hang out at Harvard for sure. I kinda miss school. I think if I go…

saint boston = dance party

Boston is a really neat city, loved waking up here this AM. Last night we went to a club called Saint, a boutique nightery. No line no cover, my friends had everything hooked up. Billie Jean was blasting as we walked and were escorted to our booth. We all danced and it was a blast. I cruised over to this other room that was playing all hip hop and srsly cut a rug. So glad I wore flats. I was dancing away then make friends with these babes. They ordered champagne in my honour and added me to FB. God I love internet. Sadly, my acid reflux did not allow me to have more than a sip for the cheers but the spirit was there. We all had a blast. I’m really lucky to have such awesome friends. I was careful to count my drinks and enjoy myself, I didn’t get drunk (which was my plan). I’m way more fun when I drink less. Y’know? Overall, awesome night. Except, I woke up with heartburn 🙁

hello hello baby you called, i can’t hear a thing…cause i’m on vacation in boston with friends mooohahaha

Oh hai. I can haz vacay? You betca ass I can! (Did you know I was on that game show once “You Bet Your Ass”. If you find my episode on line I will give you a prize.) Woke up had a glorious brekky blueberry scone, eggs, toast, coffee. The weather is lovely just like at home. I went to the oldest bar in the USA last night called The Bell In Hand. They had a Cuervo promo and I successfully did NOT drink and Tequila or get drunky. Throat was killing yesterday and I prayed that all the meds I took last night would work and y’know what, I feel like a million freakin’ bux today. My flight from TO to Beantown was so lovely. Porter Airlines is seriously the way to fly. So classy & hastle free. I would love to have a deal with them (hint hint). I tweeted Porter and I was leaving the tarmac and by the time I landed in Boston I had replies from @porterairlines wishing I had a great flight. My in flight experience was just divine. I sat beside a man named Bob, this is him. A charming Canadian from Calgary living in Boston. Excellent chat the whole 1.5 hours and we spant most the time laughing at our own jokes (ok, more like him laughing at mine haha). I love meeting new people and it’s true that I make friends easily. He was intrigued by my positive attitude and surprised that my ‘day job’ is a real job. I probably said it 5 times “Yes, I watch TV and Twitter/Facebook professionally”. I landed about 6:30 and met B & E at the airport. I’m stoked to have a great weekend. Hope you do too! YAY VACATION FTW!!!!

i rememeber that iceberg on the beach baby, i do

I used to live at Bondi Beach. I loved it there. I wanna go back one day. Lead a simple life,  a beach babe, not be so busy all the time. One day. I wrote this poem walking along this very beach one day at 7am. I had to take it by memory, it was one of the few times I didn’t have a pencil/paper. It was  also before the smartphone revolution. To me at least!  It’s my favorite one I ever wrote: As the waves crashed on the shore, The wind washed them away. And as I walked along the sand, I felt I could not stray. For I was walking towards the sun, And it was a brand new day. – Untitled, Casie 2004

i’ve always wanted to be a virgin girl

I figure it would be crazy of me to NOT enter to be the Virgin America Toronto Provocateur. Who knows? I might win. It includes free flights for a year and  some pretty sweet perks.  I have been in looooove with the Virgin brand for years, following all the many things that Richard does. He is someone I really admire for his creativity and business acumen. If you love me, vote for me. It’s not a full time gig so I could still keep my job and just add on all the perks of being a Virgin girl. Awesome? Heck yes.

island adventure to find your love and baby i found it

After walking around for coffee on Sunday for about an hour (almost everything in my hood was closed G20), I decided to day trip it to the island. I chose Wards Island as I have never been there before and was keen for a true adventure. Got the ‘I’m on a Boat’ badge on Foursquare for checkin’ in on the Island Ferry. This was a great way to start. I was dressed like a teenage dirtbag, in fact,  a lesbian teenage dirtbag wearing rainboy bikini top. It IS Pride Week so, kinda fitting  I guess. It was sunny all afternoon. It was hot. Spent some time staring at boats. Mum is about to sail to Bahamas on her boat next month. I dream of doing that one day too. Camera got a little heat stroke from humidity (that’s what I’m calling the water effect) and it started taking blurry photos. Regardless, I LOVE my new camera. It’s making the life-documentation process way more fun. Soaked it in some dry rice when we got home, baby is back in action now. That trick works for phones too. If anyone knows about wrecking devices, it’s ME.  I’ve been through so many since starting this blog, not even gonna try counting. It was more than lovely. So relaxing. There was no noise, no distractions. I needed that.  I needed a break from my busy life. I hung out on the couch at the Island Cafe on Wards Island. Read a book. A real book, like hardcover. I love the island, gonna go back a few times this summer. It’s amazing how refreshing a couple hours away can be. Enjoy the day!

you know that i love you boy, hot like mexico

I’m back in action in TO and it’s nice to be here & back to regular scheduled blogging. Really stoked the weather is hot hot hot. I can’t help but be excited thinking about my next trip to see my  Boston loves. MISS YOU GUYS ALREADY! Saying I had an awesome time this weekend does not even begin to explain it. It will be a couple weeks before all the party pix are posted but I hope to get a few from Bob in the new week or so.  I hardly took any, can you believe it? I know, weird. The pool party was deff one of my favorite things of the weekend. This photo pretty much sums it up… Note the big Malibu bucket, 1950’s high waist bikini, , heart shaped glasses, latex outfit in the corner,  & Papa pushing me around in the floaty. Bob had an underwater camera that was massive amounts of fun. SOOOO looking forward to next year (360 days away). Oh, and check the shoes I got! MEOW!! I look like a damn GIANT in them. Probs gonna put them on to make dinner when I get home. They’re actually not that hard to walk or dance in to be honest. Have an awesome day. I’m hanging with my darling little sis tonight. I always miss her the most when I’m away. Yahoooooooo!

DO YOU HAVE A GUN MISS?

So yesterday I had a really intersting experience going through customs before leaving YYZ. I was very smily and dressed kinda cute as I approaced the dreaded security check at the airport. It always scares me for some reason, there is just something about all the turnstiles and other crowd control measures that puts me on edge! I do understand how important these security checks are though, and after reading this website about security turnstile here I probably know much more about airport security and turnstiles than the average person! Hence, I was extremely pleasant as I emptied all my gear intot the tray, laptop, shoes, small bottled liquids. I was pretty excited to step into the body scanner. It was my first time flying since this had been implemented a few months ago after the underwear bomber. No problems with the body scan but as I turned around it seemed a couple security guards were puzzled by something in my suitcase. First thought, they saw my ‘Hitachi massager‘ and they’re gonna give me a hard time, second thought, my corsets with metal boning have them confused. Neither was the case and as one security guard after another, followed by several police officers went for a look, I began to get scared. WTF are they looking at? I tried to be positive about the whole thing and deffinitley not get emotional. Crying would only make this worse, “keep smiling & don’t look scared” I told myself. A secutiry guard and police officer begun filling out paper work and the questions started coming. Where do I live, what do I do, where was I going & why. They could tell I was getting worried and told me to stay calm, so I tried as my hands were getting real sweaty and…
