lessons in zombieism: halloween how-to

you will need chocolate syrup, cornstarch, red food dye, white face paint, black (eyeliner/shadow) and some green if you have it. take off your shirt. don’t wash your face or hair. dirtier the better. mix 2/3 chocolate syrup with corn starch and add a bunch of red dye drops. shake/mix. it will be kinda runny. let it sit while you pick out some clothes. FYI, it will wash off your face really easy and off of any black clothes. remember you can be any kind of zombie ex. zombie version of yourself, zombie fireman, zombie schoolgirl.   put your zombie outfit on so you can wipe your hands on your clothes. dip a chopstick into the blood and let it drip on your skin making beautiful blood drips. take a sip and let it run out of your mouth and down your face. don’t be afraid to wipe your face with your sleeve and let the blood drip down again. it will layer as it dries and beginning to look more real. black out your eyes, smudge it all in good. mix some green. smudge. go eat brains. see more zombie photos and my 30 second zombie movie. happy halloween friends 🙂

read a couple blogs to form an opinion

Let me tell you. Working from home is great. Well, working when you’re not on a schedule or have any deadlines and you don’t have to report to anyone. Working on Tweeting your friends, replying to emails of interest, attending blogging events, videos, celebrating yourself and your friends…it’s a tough life. I woke up yesterday and put on Zombie makeup. It was lovely. I went to Sobeys to get groceries, got the mail and received a package from the concierge. Scared some new neighbor and the cleaning lady. It was so fucking fun. Me, alone, Zombie by day, not even Halloween yet. I love me when I do things like that. Like really live it out. Make the most. I started this draft a while ago and now it’s already almost 2pm. I have a meeting and haven’t showered even gotten dressed yet or washed my hair. Karrera took all these photos. I just made a scary movie. Working at home is harder than I thought… When you love what you do it’s not really work.

Thank you everyone for coming! Second – Zombie Walk is ON! No rain. I’ll be getting bloody and gross around 2pm and heading to Bellwoods to meet the other brain hungry kids for 3. Third – Will post the Harajuku Lovers contest winner after brunch.

she looks so pretty with blood on her face

It’s where beauty meets eats brains… So gross hot. I surprise myself all the time with my love for Zombies. I don’t like anything to do with blood or guts and cringe when I see them on TV. However…I love Zombie fun. I reckon I’ll be a Zombie pinup girl this year. If it rains tomorrow I will not be doing the Toronto Zombie Walk for the following reasons: It’s not fun to walk in the rain with a bunch of people Blood will stain my white wellies when it drips on them It’s not so fun to be a soaking wet cold Zombie Flesh woulds will wash off in the rain I don’t want to catch a cold before starting my new job

i think this brain would be pretty tasty

Zombies……I can’t stop thinking about them…. As soon as it turned October, it’s like my body knows it’s Halloween and I wanna dress up and wear masks and makeup and wigs and stuff. I don’t like scary movies or blood and gore but I love to dress up Zombie. The walk is coming up Oct. 24th. There’s gong to be a bunch of us and I’d love you to join in the bloody fun. I saw some photo’s on Tony’s blog of the Hollywood Walk last week and I’m pretty sure that’s what got my Zombie thoughts into overdrive. One more thing… I mentioned a while ago that fellow blogger and comic drawer extraordinaire Mr. Sean Ward has taken up residence in San Francisco.  His crew just produced this new video. Check ‘er out! Have a great day 🙂

tasty brain snack

Great sleep. Lots of rest. Following a bunch of new Tweeps. Sun is shining and it’s warm outside. I woke up thinking Zombie. I want to dress Zombie again. Did it a few times during October last year. I don’t like scary movies, blood, gore, surgery, guts, pretty much anything gross….but you put me in Zombie and I’m not even scared. Zombies eat brains.  Last year I went on my first Zombie walk. Starts in the pit at Trinity Bellwoods with hundreds of dead people then they climb out of the pit and take the streets.  Oh what fun it is to stride with all the bloody faces.  I put a bloody finger up my nose. It was sick. I’m gonna walk it again this year for sure.  I hope Karrera is back from BC. Soon as August rolls around I start thinking about Halloween. That’s my favorite day of the year. I love to dress up, I just love it.

that’s how you make a girls day!

You send her a box filled with vibrating units. Happy Friday to me! I received a box filled with vibrating mascaras. I gave one to Sabrina already, as usual. I’m looking forward to seeing what Kelly thinks of it too. I love that they sent a special one in a bigger package for me and a whole bunch to share with friends all nicely wrapped with bows. I’m one of the first peeps in Canada to get to test it out and as they say ‘share the vibe’.  It also came with a party book about style and how to have a good time with your friends. That’s up for grabs, I mastered that ages ago. Ok, I tested it out out just now. It definitely vibrates, kinda shocked me at first how much it does! I’m gonna try it again tomorrow when I have fresh lashes. I’m heading to Edgefest tomorrow and I am SO stoked to see Metric. J’adore Emily. eyegasm/vibrating mascara from me on Vimeo. One more thing, you can get a discount coupon to purchase it from here and more info on the vibrating unit here. Happy eyegasms!!

the issues that matter most

Part One: There’s been a big thing going on to save our Internet in Canada from regulation and big business control ling it I’m pretty sure I mentioned it during Net Change Week or Raymi speaking at the town hall meeting. Good news, Liberals announced support for Net Neutrality on Thursday, hopefully the rest will follow their lead. We all need access to the internet. Part Two: How you feel about yourself. That matters. I’m a positive girl , it’s a daily challenge but it’s more fun to be happy so I try each day. I’ve gotten pretty good at it. This week I’ve received a couple negative blog comments from a recent reader. It’s too bad that they find pleasure in leaving anonymous comments and have nothing better to do but type in my URL and take the time to press every key with bad intentions. The reality for the commenter that there is no such thing as anonymity if you post on a blogs. It is a bit annoying but mostly just dumb.  Having a blog is creating something new everyday, it’s a modern art form. On my blog,  I write about my stuff and take picture of me.  It’s very fun. I read a crazy article about a Canadian girl suing Google for negative remarks made about her on a Blogger (Google) hosted blog. “I’m tall, I’m blond, I’ve been modeling for many years, and people get jealous,” she told the Daily News. “If I had to deal with everyone who is jealous, I wouldn’t have time to do anything else.” Her lawyer called the site “libelous” and “defamatory.” The only way to really leave an anonymous comment, is to keep it to yourself. I always hoped that after high school people doing stupid things out of…

i like when the leaves come on the building

I was walking into the office this morning and it was really beautiful outside. Sabrina and I were giggling our little asses off as I proceeded to say “I like then the leaves come on the building”. Being our immature selves she replied with “I like when you come on the building”. I hope you can imagine just how funny this was. I almost peed my pants. No, I did not make an error I wore pants today. I’m heading to Spin TO tonight at the MOD Club on College. SpinTO is a fundraising project that kicks off today and celebrates the Friends for Life Bike Rally from Toronto to Montreal in support of the Toronto People with AIDS Foundation. The theme is Solid Gold and I think you should all come if you can.  Tickets are on sale for like the next two hours but you can also get ’em at the door. There’s lots of fun stuff happpening there tonight.

there’s something about ‘zombie face’

Months ago I went through a Zombie phase. I loved it. I love Zombie face. I don’t like scary things, I mean like blood and guts and horror. Makes me feel anxiety and pain but let me tell you, there’s something about the tattoo I put on my arm that I totally love. I put it on again.  I wear fake tattoos and when I find one I like I buy the whole lot. Sometimes I don’t want it enough to have it all the time, just sometimes. I went for a bike ride to the LCBO on Queens Quay by the water. It was beautiful. There was one problem, this guy. This guy with his gut out, walking so freely along while topless.  It was not appealing. Thus,  I share with you as fair warning it is not recomended style to go walkabout like this unless you’re a babe. The tower.  The tower was pretty today beside my bike.
