Dear VIP International media, A driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals lounge of Auckland International Airport.  As you enter the public lounge from the customs area look to your left and you will see your driver, in a black suit, with a name badge, and a hand held sign featuring your name. As a VIP guest you will have access to the MAC and ghd Lounge where you can relax and be pampered by their teams of hair and makeup specialists. We also have available to you Audi courtesy cars for getting to and from NZFW related business appointments and our off-site shows. A host will be assigned to you to assist with appointments etc throughout the week. Richard from Monster Media took this one. Sums up TIFFest pretty good I reckon. Thank you TIFF, Stella and all the agencies and all the people who have had me out to great events and films over the last week or so. It’s been my best year at TIFF ever and I’m throwing in the towel.  Need to rest up and get ready to take on New Zealand. Was at  (diet) Coke party first last night, was fun. They had a photo booth, you know I love that. Rode in a big Coke limo. Fun fun crazy. Shiny disco balls. Wore some recent goodies I’ve been given last night: Vest + skirt from Old Navy. White shirt + boots from Marks WW. Heart locket H&M. Lipstick is Poppy from Joe Fresh new makeup collection. Thanks guys. Boots are quite lovely. Nice colour and salt proof. Gonna test that hard this winter, walking in snow banks. Andrew F Stewart & Rannie, Photojunkie. Sent Rochelle to Festival Music House in my place but then I showed up anyways later. Was a guestlist asshole bringing people. I don’t like to do that but it was necessary last night. Appreciate Rock-It Promo for being so kind to me and not being mad at me. This looks good on me. Brocklyn was a hit again last night. Rising star he is. Watch it. Carly is his agent now. Her talent roster is a garden of awesome in bloom. Building a new blog. SO many tweaks and stuff and things I don’t know how to do that I need to ask. I have my friend Patrick helping me but it just ain’t that easy as uploading a new theme and hitting publish. Ah, I wish. Nice working on a holiday, the amount of emails is slower than normal and I feel like I got lots done. The airshow jets have been flying by all afternoon. I used to be quite excited by them but I just don’t feel the same anymore. I care more about getting shit done than rushing to the window to get a photo. Got a post card today from Rochelle while she was in Laguna Beach. It is vintage and handwritten. I love that she though of me, especially that she hand picked a vintage number. THANK YOU. I love getting mail. Wanna send me something? I’ll give you my mailing address if you ask. I wish I had someone to build this wordpress for me. Have a full calendar of events & meetings this week. Snagged a young stud to be arm candy for a couple things too. Tomorrow I’ve got a hair appointment with Darrek Kwik follwed by a dress fitting at Paris Li for New Zealand Fashion Week outfits. Opening of Toronto International Film Fest is Wednesday and I’ll be attending a couple things that day. This week is gonna fly by. I got an invite to the Tastemakers Lounge on Friday afternoon and confirmed I’ll be getting some swag. YEAH! It’s a celeb gifting/product placement lounge for the Film Fest, Anita gives you a good idea in her post from 2008. HI. The good news is: EVERYTHING. Ahhh. Working hard will get you places. Creativity and a positive attitude (really) help too. I’ve not commented much on the Klout thing. I might have mentioned a while back when Bre was making a stink about Klout, wondering how they rank, etc. Klout is the ‘Online Standard for Influence’. If you don’t know what I’m talking about checking out this list of 10 Most Influential Tweeters in Toronto (I’m on there #6). Earlier this summer I got a free flight from Virgin American & Klout. (Vote for me in the contest here.) I couldn’t manage to make the trip while at my old job so I never used it. I bet all the people who cried about not getting one would hate to hear that! Yesterday an article was published in Tech Vibes by Jas Banwait (who didn’t get a flight) about Klout, influence, and measurement. People who didn’t get flights seem to really have lots of opinions on Klout.  Those of us who did, just seem grateful. The world is a funny place. It was a free thing and it certainly got people talking. I’ve asked my share of questions about Klout and I think what they are doing is pretty neat. I find it all quite interesting. Social media & measurement, social and the connection with new media. The measurement of something so new and massive without regulation is hard. I have always been a social person involved in lots of things with lots of friends. The internet just gave me a microphone, it allowed me to amplify my voice. Ok, part 2… The bad news is: NOTHING. I’m a delegate at the TEDxTO conference in September. YAHOOOOO! I’m really looking forward to attending. I missed the application deadline last year…

I’m running late again because the internet so damn distracting. Weak excuse I know.
