TGIF: time for a little vaaaaaaaaaaacation

This has been a really busy week. Feeling more Gah Gah than GaGa. I’m usually busy, but  seriously, this week has me totally tuckered. Go-go-go non-stop. Everyday. Mama’s tired. Quite looking forward to hibernating over the weekend. Writing, relaxing,  finishing up KC’s book. Feeling like it’s new sketchbook day.  Have these awesome neon pastels and whole new set of other colours that want me to play with them. I think it’s time. Lisa posted this pic of her, Breanna and I in her post today. So cute! We went to get our dresses fitted all together late week. That in itself, was almost as fun as wearing them to the ball. Thank you so much to everyone who came out last night. I’ve gotten heaps of positive feedback. Here’s a couple posts from Melissa, Romi and Sean. I made some vids and will get them up over the weekend. First, I need a break-ation from the interwebs and doing stuff. I’m exhauzzzzzzzzted. I realized after my talk last night that I would have no problem filling up an hour, I barely got down to detail.   Really excited to plan the next event with Carly. If you have questions or wanna chat consulting, email me casie at casiestewart dot com or contact Carly at Fairlie Agency. I’d be happy to help you or your brand. That’s all for now.  Toodalooooooooo!! Posted some hot shit on my Tumbr Blog OH CASIE. Enjoy 🙂 Happy Friday peeps!

the rise of the bloggers, the revolution is coming

I see it more and more, (like every day) people brand themselves online & built a reputation are now getting the same invites and accreditation to events as traditional media. It’s really interesting to me because I always knew I wanted to be recognized for doing something well, I never knew what it was (duh, obvs cause it was like 20 years ago before blogging) but I knew it was out there. I’ve got lots to learn as media & the internet are changing public relations. I love the internet and learning about new ways to explore it. I met these guys all through blogging and actually, most of my current BFF’s all blog these days too. I’m happy to share what we’ve learned over the last few years with you. At the event blog below: (one track blog mind haha) You Will Learn: * how to get (and keep) the attention of industry peeps * how to turn your everyday life into compelling content * how to brand yourself online * what programs and applications to use to host your site, keep track of your statistics, and promote yourself & blog Click here for more information and to get a ticket. This will be good for offices & agencies who want to learn about connecting with Bloggers too. If you have any questions about it, just ask!

all nothbound lanes are completely blogged off

If you’re getting ready to start your very own bad ass bloggy-blog you have to be prepared to face the fact that people are going to interpret things in their own way. They are going to judge you. You might even get a few bad comments if your lucky. Anonymous ones that say mean things are they best. Joking. I warn you….having a blog can be a really weird thing sometimes.  I’ve been getting asked about blogging quite often lately.  I’m now mentoring a bunch of babes about blogging and doing a talk about social media. Get your ass a ticket and come, you can even buy me a drink at the end! Serious. Kidding. Serious. Everyone will interpret things you write  in their own way. You might offend people. You might share too much and feel overcome with anxiety. Sometimes Mum/friend will ring asking ‘are you ok?”. The reply “yes Mum, I’m fine, oh yeah, my blog, whatever… “You might go back and edit, delete, or maybe you’ll just leave it and think, this is my life. One of the great things is telling stories is being  creative with your blog, borderline artistic.  The weirdest thing about having a blog is relationships and dating, or breakups.   I like to keep my relationship talk  about my love of the  Internet, clothes and gadgets.  They’ll never tell you they need a break or leave your heart feeling empty. That’s all for now. Videos from Art Battle #4 uploading now. Enjoy the day. It’s BEAUTIFUL OUT!

we used to be tight………me and this dress ♥

But now we’re not. We’re still a good fit but we’ve given each other some room. It stayed the same, I got a smaller. One of my vintage fav’s. I’ve been babysitting it for Natalie for years, it didn’t fit her at the time but she couldn’t bear to part with, so I’ve been taking good care of it. Really good care by taking it out and dancing with it and showing it off on the internet. hehe BTW speaking of style, calling BLOGGERS who like fashion for an @mtvcanada event or two. I can’t tell you just what it is yet but GOOD. I’m excited (gonna blog it too), stoked to be able to invite cool peeps like YOU. If you’re interested send me/comment with your blog & email addy! Terry & one of my FAV Olympic Gold medal winning GINGERS! Terry updates his bloggy when peeps come in to get their photo taken. They are always so great. I love them. Just look at this hawtnesssss………AHHHHHHH! What I would do to wear HIS gold medal.

so you wanna start a bloggy blog, eh?

In the last couple months all kinds of people have been coming out of the woodwork and asking me about blogging. I’m talking people I went to school with years ago, friends from across the world, country, Mum, Sister and friends that were so not into ‘”the whole blogging” thing. If you or one of your friends are interested in learning about blogging, personal branding online and/or social media, here’s ya chance to get some good value. Raymi the Minx, Sean Ward, Carly and I along with Function 13 Gallery in Kensington are hosting a blog chat/seminar. This is your invitation from me. Get a ticket HERE.
