Sweet Sunshine | Pink Hair, Flowers, NastyGal, JShoes

Finally, finally the sun came out and the temperature warmed up. Yesterday was a beautiful day! Dug up my Sunflower dress from American Apparel, put on mala beads from Tiny Devotions (for good vibes), and was happy that a trench was warm enough. Loving my purple, pink hair too.   These beautiful flowers arrived at my desk and let me tell you, they smell just like Spring! Ordered some dresses from NastyGal and they only took 5 days to get here. Fastest yet! Super excited for these babies that arrived at the office on Friday! Two pairs of JShoes, a brand from the UK launching in Canada soon. I’m documenting a day in the life of them during World MasterCard Fashion Week next week. Just realized my Saturday spa appointment was for an hour BEFORE I put it in my calendar. Gottttta run! 🙂 Enjoy the day, soak up some sunshine, and send good vibes to people around you . <3 CASIE

Today’s Special: @Pinterest, @NastyGal, @SummerWorks, @DigitalJournal

These are some of my Pins from this week. Pinterest has become part of my daily routine. I love style so much and I’ve been pinning everything I want from Nasty Gal. I want everything. It’s torture. Their ads stalk me on many every single website and their email makes me drool. They’re hip on social and have a beauty of a blog with new lookbooks all the time.   Today Catherine posted an interview with Michael Rubenfeld, Artistic Producer of the SummerWorks theatre festival. Her and I chatted at the VIP Soiree last month and she included me in her article (see below). August 7, 2012: Digital Journal – Toronto blogger Casie Stewart (L) chats with journalist Catherine Kustanczy before the SummerWorks Soiree in early July. Stewart, who worked as the community manager for MuchMTV Group at Canadian broadcaster CTV and received mentions in the Wall Street Journal and Mashable (among others), is in charge of the festival’s blog this year. Read more. July 9 2012 – Casie Stewart (left) and Catherine Kustanczy at the SummerWorks Summer Soirée held at the Great Hall in Toronto. Photo by Della Rollins for the Globe and Mail The second photo was taken for the Globe & Mail but not published. (I don’t think??) My most recent post on the SummerWorks blog is about Hawksley Workman and one of his songs I love. He’s performing as part of the festival on Saturday. Off to Thompson Hotel roof for fashion soiree. Have a great day/night/morning wherever you are!

Fashion Friday: Wanelo, NastyGal, Sherway Gardens winners

Been loving a couple online shops lately. I don’t buy as much in real life as I do in my dreams but I like the ideas they give  me to spice up my existing wardrobe.  This image is from the Wanelo email. Wanelo is “a way to find unique products and stores you have never heard of.” I’ve been drooling a bit, figured I should share! I hate the emails from Nasty Gal, they read my mind and know exactly what I want/am wearing. The ads follow me around online, taunting me with things they know I want. JERKS! These emails are what made me cave and buy a few pairs of Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Everything they send out is so nice and they have a monthly lookbook. I think I have all these outfits on some vintage variation. I love Jane Fonda in this Pucci Pre-Fall outfit. My fav collections are Cruise & Pre-Fall almost every year. One day I’ll have a boat and get to wear the cruise collections. Until then, I’ll settle for Mum’s boat and her vintages. 😉 Some wisdom shared by two of my fav fashion blogging ladies, Gala Darling, a Kiwi blogger living in NY and Gala Gonzales, an It Girl from Spain, living in London who travels the world for fashion. I partied with Gonzales in NZ at Fashion Week once. They’re both awesome girls you should know. Follow G.Darling and G.Gonzales. On this day last year I arrived in Pensicola, Florida for work. We stayed in Margaritaville. It was beauuuuuutiful! Planking was a thing at the time and I tried to create a new trend ‘mermaiding’, it never picked up. See some pix here. There were over twenty entries for the Sherway Gardens Spring Style contest and the winner is… VANESSA GRILLONE. Thank you…

Video: #JayuBloggedII Diaries SS15

If you were following along on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or Selfish yesterday you’ll know I was on set with Shop for Jayu shooting the spring lookbook. It was fun! Nothing like a day of dress up and playing in front of the camera to make you feel really tired. Once I get home, I didn’t even make it through the Grammy’s before passing out on the couch in my jogging suit onesie. Earlier last week we met to plan our looks at The Pink Grapefruit, Queen East. Check out the video below. Behind the Scenes @ Silverline Studios A photo posted by shopforjayu (@shopforjayu) on Feb 8, 2015 at 9:48am PST I finally wore these super uncomfortable shoes (that I love) from NastyGal. They’re never seen pavement but I’ve been holding onto them and sometimes wearing them in the house for the last year. That clear heel tho.   A photo posted by C A S I E S T E W A R T (@casiestewart) on Feb 8, 2015 at 3:49pm PST A photo posted by C A S I E S T E W A R T (@casiestewart) on Feb 8, 2015 at 10:33am PST That’s a wrap! Now we wait to see the final shots. Fingers crossed. This is the part I hate, the waiting! I’ll be sure to share with you once they’re live. A photo posted by shopforjayu (@shopforjayu) on Feb 8, 2015 at 5:46pm PST Here’s hoping you have a great Monday. I’m feeling a bit drained and overwhelmed, need one of those UV lamps I think. February is a tough one of all of us in cold, dark, wintery climates. Remember to get some sun on your face, take Vitamins D and B. I find a B50 complex really helps me from feeling SAD.…

Media | Dundas West #LoveMyHood

Throughout September I was featured by Bench Canada in their Love My Hood campaign. You might have seen a couple of these photos on their Instagram or Facebook. We snapped these shot at  the Wallace Ave. bridge that was built in 1907. Their contest ends this week so scroll down for details on how you can enter. The bridge covers the train tracks that are currently being expanded to service the new GoTrain Express to Person Airport. Alongside the bridge, is the West Toronto Railpath that I like to run on and where I took heaps of GoPro photos at last winter. Dug up these old photos fro the depths of the Internet. I love seeing how the city has changed. I think about how the Internet has changed my life in the last 10 years, imagine how this bridge feels?! 🙂  Wearing: Bench hoodie, dress from Brandy Melville, boots from NastyGal It’s your last chance, our #LoveMyHood contests ends in a week! Have your shown us your city yet? pic.twitter.com/tcLCocIG10 — BENCH Canada (@BenchCanada) September 23, 2014 This is the last week to enter their #LoveMyHood contest. You can win $500 and 2 round trip flights anywhere in Canada. Tag your photos #LoveMyHood and make sure you’re following@BenchCanada. Good luck! You can bring a friend so like, if your BFF is away, you can always invite me.  Thanks Bench Canada for this new monogrammed hoodie. I love things with my face and or name on them! See all posts tagged Bench from over the years here. Have an awesome day. Remember, you’ll never be younger than you are today, so make the most of it! <3 CASIE
