Starting Fashion Week with a BANG! #WMCFW

Hi from the NKPR office s where I’ve been on set all day for an exciting new show. I can’t say anything else about it for now but soon enough you’ll know. Today marks the start of World Mastercard Fashion Week in Toronto and it’s going to be a busy one.

Huge thanks to Jodi Urichuk for a great job on makeup today (Follow her IG at @JodiUrichuk). Over the weekend I had a reaction from my eyelash extensions so I was all puffy and red. I had them taken off yesterday and most of the swelling wend down but they were still looking kinda rough this morning.

You can’t even tell, eh?

In spirit of WMCFW, remember when I walked the runway in SS12? I was wearing a custom Peach Berserk dress and walked right onto the runway after being at SXSW. I loved it. Super rad that I was wearing Doc’s too.

Tonight I’m at a Bacardi Legacy event but will be at the tent’s tomorrow for WMCFW. Here’s to a great week! Stay tuned on my Snapchat for up to the minute stories! FOLLOW ME at CASIESTEWART.

Can Your Goldfish Do The Backstroke? #PetSkills

Can Your Goldfish Do The Backstroke? #PetSkills

Over the past few weeks I’ve been doing some work with Stage TEN tv. One of the first projects is a new show called Pet Skills, it’s a live, interactive show where pets audition, you vote, and they win prizes. I’m putting this out to YOU because I’d LOVE to see some of your pets on the show!

Email some info on your pet’s amazing skill to [email protected] and we’ll follow up to arrange your audition. You won’t have to leave the house to do it, the audition will be recorded on your handy smartphone/camera.

That’s all for now! Off to MOD CLUB for our 50 Shades show w/ Army of Sass. TBH, kinda nervous! You can get tickets at the door if you wanna come. It’s HOT!

With love,

CASIE

OMG High On Life! More Hours In The Day, Please?

This art is by mr. Brainwash. A good reminder that sometimes you may feel like you're going the wrong way with your crazy ideas but you should follow them, you have a strong imagination. It will guide you!

The last couple weeks have been kinda crazy and I’m feeling like there’s more where it all comes from. Last night’s rehearsal for Army of Sass was AWESOME. I’m stoked for our show. Are you coming? Get a ticket here.  I’m currently working on a slew of things including TWO shows. Ahhh! I feel like I’m constantly rushing around on high speed. I’m dreaming about opening the cottage and relaxing.

I’ve got something cool to share with you tomorrow. Tonight I’ve got a dinner with Converse and I’m really looking forward to it. Meeting my sister shortly to shoot something for an upcoming project. It’s like I’ve spent 10 years working my ass off to try and build something and I feel it’s finally coming together. Come Friday after the show I’ll be SO ready for a cocktail to celebrate this week.

Travel Tuesday: Vacations Aren’t Just for Soaking Up Sun!

Travel Tuesday: Vacations Aren’t Just for Soaking Up Sun!

Dreaming of an experiential vacation – wine tasting in Italy, yoga in India, surfing in Costa Rica, visiting Lower Shotover New Zealand to go Bungee Jumping?

People often think of vacations as a jaunt away to soak up the sun but one way to REALLY enrich your life is a vacation where you learn something or take on a new experience. An RV vacation is a very popular choice for many people who want to go and see new sights and cultures from the comfort of their own vehicle. Those that do embark on such a vacation will want to make sure they have quality equipment, like Lifeline rv batteries, on board before doing so.

A couple years ago I went on a solo surf + yoga vacation to Costa Rica, it was so much fun. Visiting this country was on my bucket list and I had always wanted to tick it off. With this being said, if it wasn’t for a friend of mine recommending I checked out a site like https://små-lån.com (as she knew I was struggling financially), I don’t think this trip would have been possible, but I am glad that I was able to make this happen. While I was there, I learnt how to do aerial silks and perfected my wave riding skills in the ocean. This was the little cabin I stayed at in the jungle at Anamaya Resort.

In 2013, I ventured to Thailand and took a cooking class in one of my fav cuisines. I came home with new skills and a bright outlook on a different culture.

I recently chatted with TD Canada Trust about how to make an experiential vacation a reality. These types of vacations are often seen as more costly and harder to plan. BUT, if you knuckle down and plan it out, you can have the experiential vacation of your dreams. Today I’m sharing some tips on how to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

According to their recent survey, 62% of Canadians are likely to consider going on an experiential vacation if they could find ways to save on costs. This is understandable, but it is not impossible to find good holiday deals. We don’t have to break the bank to visit another country. It may also be worth checking out these handy holiday saving tips to hopefully find a way to save for the trip of your dreams!

Fortunately, TD Canada Trust has tips on how to help make your experiential vacation affordable with travel loyalty rewards and/or creating a vacation savings account. It starts with knowing the full cost of the trip.

Here’s something to think about from VP of TD Credit Cards, Christine Hunter:

“A lot of people think experiential vacations cost more than ordinary vacations, but that doesn’t have to be the case…. It all depends on where you want to go and what you want to do, but you can always find ways to help you save that could make your trip more affordable.”

On that note, my goal this year is to visit Paris, France for the first time and take a lesson in French cooking. Thanks TD Canada Trust for the tips because I think it’s about time I open a bank account for vacation saving.

Windy Weather Forecast

Recorded this 6 years ago at the AGO in the Frank Gehry stairwell. I was standing in front of a fan. It was raining out. The wind whipping at my windows reminded me of this today.

Not sure what my fascination with the wind is but here’s another windy forecast. This was a pretty exciting day, #PIBTO, we had over 400 people buy the person in line behind them a coffee. Great memories. Anyone remember?

I have 75+ videos on my Vimeo channel. I think it’s about time to get making videos again. It’s been YEARS since.

Life as Art in the Beaches: #WarmingStations

My sister and I checked out the art installations in the beaches yesterday. So neat! They’re open till the 25th so you should pop down and check them out ASAP.

Also went to the Parkdale Flea Market and had this amazing cookie. There’s an Oreo in the middle!
