Spring is in the Air, I Can Feel It
THIS: Vine App from Twitter on Coral TV
Last week on Coral TV I talked about one of my fav new apps. It’s called Vine and it’s from Twitter. Vine allows you to shoot and edit at the same time by touching the screen with your finger. Once created, you upload the six second loop and share to Vine, Twitter, or Facebook. I love that the Vine can be viewed within the Twitter app. I made a GIF of the episode because I love making GIFs.
I’ve been part of the short video evolution over the last few years with 12seconds.tv, Keek, Viddy, GIF apps, and now Vine. It’s amazing to be a creator when technology is always changing.

Who could hang a name on you? When you change with every new day.
Hello, hope the day is treating you well.
Huge haul at The Sweet Potato last night. I made a nice healthy dinner and he played records. I also made kale chips. Who am I?! If this is growing up, I really like it. Feels good to have quiet nights at home after being on the go for the last 5 years at every event in the city. I’m much pickier about the things I go to these days.
The sky in Toronto was really beautiful last night.
Had a drink and snack at The Drake hotel with a former colleague from MTV. My how times change! It’s always nice to catch up with old friends. If they’ve been reading my blog, we seem to always pick up right where we left off.
Pretty stoked to go to Boston next weekend. Crazy thing, the people from CityPASS contacted me after I mentioned them in the CAA post last week about travelling to NY & LA. The power of THE INTERNET is truly amazing! Looking forward to touring around the city and showing Sean all my fav spots. We’ll start with Harvard, MIT, and the Boston Common. Hopefully we have spring weather by then!
Remember, you’ll never be younger than you are today!

Fools Gold
Did you get fooled today? I didn’t. I wrote about corporations pulling pranks as a marketing attempt for the Pulp & Fiber blog though. Check it out here.
This mixtape is pretty good. Listening to it now meow. Makes me think about being at an outdoor music festival in the middle of hot, hot summer. Ahhhh, soon enough my friends!
Hope day is good!

Into The Sun
My friend and babe Anna Cyzon just released a new music vid for her song ‘Into the Sun’. I missed the launch event last week and planned to tell you all about it. We’ve always bonded over our blondeness and that we both used to work at MTV.
Anna Cyzon ‘Into the Sun’ launch, Spoke Club
The first part of the video is a little dark for Monday morning but song is good! ‘Into the Sun’ reminds me of a poem I wrote in 2004 when I lived in Australia. It’s one of my favs.
As the waves crashed on the shore,
The wind washed them away.
And as I walked along the sand,
I felt I could not stray.
For I was walking towards the sun,
And it was a brand new day.
– Untitled, Casie 2004
I hope the sun shines bright in your direction today.

Andy’s Illustrated Story of Inspiration
Andy Warhol, Selfie, 1979
Spent some time yesterday looking through this magical book I got a couple years ago called Andy Warhol Treasures: The Illustrated Story of Andy Warhol’s Life and Work. It’s an amazing anthology documenting his life with all kinds of artifacts, letters, report cards, photographs, stencils, and things that have been reproduced. I can’t remember the last time I looked thought and read all this stuff. It’s super inspiring!
Some Artifacts from the Book
Currently watching The Startup Kids doc on iTunes. If you’re in tech or an entrepreneur, you’ll totally relate to the film. Finding it as a great source of inspiration to start the week. I also just watched the video blog of a symphony flash mob. Watch, love, share!
This was incredible. Thanks for sharing @kmore! Ode an die Freude (Ode to Joy) Beethoven Symphony No.9 classical youtu.be/kbJcQYVtZMo

Live The Life You’ve Imagined
Boston Bound with Travel Savings from CAA
Last weekend I booked a trip with Sean to visit some friends next month in Boston. I go there about twice a year for a mini vacation. He’s never been to ‘beantown’ so I’m pretty excited to show him around the gorgeous city.
Mum is always first to remind me about the importance of travel insurance and for this trip I was able to purchase it online through CAA using my new CAA membership.
As I was checking out all the life-side assistance benefits from CAA I was happy to find out I can save money on a Boston CityPASS.
The CityPASS allows you to check out some of the greatest attractions in the city at a discounted price. It’s valid 9 days from day of first use and you get to skip most ticket lines with your CityPASS in hand. You know I hate waiting in lines!
CityPASS gives you admission to these 5 must-see Boston attractions:
- New England Aquarium (Never been!)
- Museum of Science (Never been!)
- Skywalk Observatory So cool. See photo below!
- Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (Never been!)
- Harvard Museum of Natural History OR Revolutionaty Boston at The Old State House
The Boston CityPASS was $89.95 and with CAA I saved $45.96 PER TICKET.
After having my membership for a mere two months, I have saved more than the membership itself costs! Yeah!
I went to the skywalk last year it it was so neat! There’s a full 360 view of downtown Boston. The night I was there the Blue Jays were playing the Red Socks at Fenway Park and I took this photo. I think the Jays won.
If you love travel like me, you’ll be happy to know that CAA’s wide variety of travel benefits also feature these fine cities. Atlanta is famous for its glorious weather, Chicago is the place to go if you’re a foodie, and Philadelphia is particularly good if you have kids, just look at the best hotels in philadelphia for families, if you need some accommodation ideas. I’m personally hoping to take advantage of New York and LA CityPASS this summer.
- CityPASS: Atlanta, Georgia
- CityPASS: Boston, Massachussets
- CityPASS: Chicago, Illinois
- CityPASS: Hollywood, California
- CityPASS: New York, New York
- CityPASS: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- CityPASS: San Francisco, California
- CityPASS: Seattle, Washington
CAA just released a new mobile app for card holders and they have 48 hour travel deals each Tuesday. CAA travel benefits FOR THE WIN! Happy travelling!
