I usually get to one NHL hockey game per year. This season I’m taking Sean thanks to MLSE & The Ford Fanatic. I love going to the see the Leafs play and I hardly ever remember who wins. My friends and I often go to Leafs as I said, I try to go to at least on NHL hockey game per year, and sometimes we find it exciting to make up our own fantasy hockey teams to see who would win, so being able to see this game was an amazing opportunity to share this with him. This year, Ford Canada has partnered with the Leafs to help #fansgofurther. To date, between MLSE and Ford through the FordFANatic, approximately 4,800 tickets have been awarded to fans for 24 home games. I love it! How you can earn free Leafs Games tickets The purpose of the program is to engage, surprise and delight fans in a season-long program awarding positivity and passion both online and off . Fans have the opportunity to earn tickets and watch a game in the Ford Fan Deck. Follow @TheFordFanatic and take part in their weekly challenge. There’s still a few weeks left in the season. Official R&R of the contest can be found here. Behind the Twitter handle is Sarah D. and she’s been a Leafs fan as long as she remembers. Being Canadian, it’s in her blood. Growing up in rural Nova Scotia, Sarah and her peers cheered for any of the original 6 teams but, Sarah’s cheers have always been for the Leafs. Sarah was 18 when she first saw the Leafs play, when she came to Toronto to see a pre-season game. She remembers it as one of the most surreal experiences of her life, being able to see Darcy Tucker fight…

Started bright and cold early this morning and went to a blogger breakfast with Ford Canada at the Canadian International Auto Show. It is damn cold out here today. My new MotoG smartwatch tells me it’s -22 right now. I’ve also completed my 10K steps for the day so I’m gonna stop working early. Totally got spoilt for Valentines Day by Motorola because they sent me a NEW PHONE and the MotoG watch. I’m in love with wearables and this things is an absolute vision of beauty. THANK YOU MOTOROLA. ILU! Felt a little bit bad for my bf who got me a great gift but when he see’s all the things that arrive from the Internet, it’s hard to compete. Not that he has to but, I did get a bunch of gifts this year. I’ll share more goodies over the weekend. I arrived to the auto show to the wrong area and was surrounded by the sales meeting team and walked in all leopard print, bright red, and standing out like a sore thumb. (As usual, but more here when everyone was wearing black and suits!) Finally asked someone and located the blogger crew. Sent a photo of this cute little hybrid hot rod, Hot Wheels to my dad. Would love to drive one of these little bad boys! I woke up in a Bugatti! Ok, woke up and saw a Bugatti. Always wanted one of these. Still might have one someday! Had a Valentines lunch date with Alison. Had a heart shaped pizza delivered to Sean’s office for him. Pizza my heart. 🙂 Travelled on the GO train to visit Keri for a slumber party. Can’t forget your BFFs on Valentines Day! READ HER BLOG HERE. SHE IS REALLY AWESOME. Ahhhhh, the country! Nothing but the sound of… well, NOTHING.…

First things first, HAPPY FRIDAY! Started my day with some work and an amazing croissant from Cafe Neon in my hood. I’m all out of Tassimo so ventures out into the cold sunshine to treat myself. I really love working from home and for myself. It’s been about six months and I’ve got myself a schedule. I can’t wait till summer when my schedule means staying up at the cottage during the week here and there and morning coffee on the dock after kayaking. I’ve started a new subscription with NextIssue, the Netflix of magazines and I love it. I spend so much time on my phone, and love magazines, but buying heaps and carrying them around is not practical for me. They’ve given me a code for you to get a 60 day trial (double the regular offer), visit this link and use 60free to sign up. Mum joined me at The Spoke Club for the press preview of Behind The Red Carpet film. Doesn’t she look amazing? Thanks for coming Mum! Love you. The film is on CBC’s doc channel 9pm, Feb. 23rd. I’M A JUNIOR MOVIE STAR! Ok, let’s not get carried away here. You CAN see all my film/tv stuff on IMDB tho. Let’s hope for more this year. I’m working on a few things and hope they pan out. You might be seeing even more of my face, if you can believe it. Are you on Snapchat? ADD ME OMG RIGHT NOW. You know I love short videos and this is your behind the scenes look at even more of my life and silliness and things I do in the day. You’ll not regret it. You’ll find me at: CASIESTEWART. This week I went to a nice little event at the new Saje Wellness store on Queen Street. During TIFF I went to the NKPR IT Lounge and was introduced to the brand. When I told my friend I was using oils she called me a hippie but this is NOT that old school hippie stuff! There are heaps of benefits to using essential oils, read about 9 benefits here from Balance Me Beautiful. Saje Wellness uses all natural oils and has heaps of different wellness products and accessories. My first experience was this little pocket pharmacy. It’s awesome to keep in your purse or carry-on when travelling. My fav product is the Peppermint Halo that’s amazing for headaches. It’s cooling and calming and now one of my ‘essential’ items. I was pretty impressed to see how big the store was and how many products they have. They hooked up us bloggers & media peeps with our choice of nebulizer. It helps reduce dust and other common allergens while creating a pleasing atmosphere of aromatherapy. I picked the Aromagem in black because I thought it was sexiest! One thing I learned last night was that the recommended 10-15 drops was too much for me. It really fills the air and I found 5 drops to be enough. Saje has 22 locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Winnipeg and Ontario and you can check out their products at saje.ca. I’m SO ready for the weekend. It’s my sisters birthday on Sunday and we’re staying at the Royal York Hotel. I can’t wait, it’s going to be super relaxing! Might just bring my nebulizer to fill the air with aromatherapy. Happy FRIDAY!

From Internet, to Big Screen, to TV! Ladies and gentlemen, it’s with great pride I share with you that one of the documentaries I was in recently is going to be featured on CBC! I’m so happy! I’ve tagged all my friends and family in NZ to give it a watch. You can download or rent it here. There’s likely going to be a media screening and event at CBC and I think it would be really cool to invite some of you guys (if I can!). Years ago I used to work in film & tv as a background actress. I spent hours, and hours sitting in holding waiting to be called to set. It was a really fun experience and I met heaps of cool people. One summer I spent months working on the set of American Pie: Beta House. There were heaps of really cool people on that set including now CP24 weather reporter Patricia Jaggernauth, recording artist Ish Morris, actress Meghan Heffern, and my sister (who had her own trailer for part of the summer). Eugene Levy was in it too. Below is a little diary entry wrote while sitting in background holding on the set of Degrassi at Degrassi High in 2008. This photo was taken years later when I worked at MuchMusic & MTV and was given a Degrassi shirt. I started thinking to myself as I sit in Background Holding for Degrassi High…. Here I am working on a show I’ve never seen surrounded by a bunch of people whom either I’ve met over the last six weeks or are new faces. Its’ great. I hear the sound of “Its Raining Men” on the set, I’ve managed once again to avoid being used or getting on camera. (This is often a goal! lol) It’s a total dream when you get to spend the day sitting in Holding, getting paid to do whatever it is your little heard desires until they call for lunch or “everyone on set”. I’m hoping that today I make it until lunch. My first experience as a Background Performer was working on the set of “American Pie presents Beta House”. I was booked with my sister to do four days of continuity at a mansion in Thornhill. The place was beautiful! We met at Background Holding,…

Last week I was invited to Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie Paris at the Shangri-La in Toronto. Let me tell you, spending Monday afternoon at a spa is a GREAT way to start the week or really finish off a weekend. There’s nothing like escaping your life and slipping away into a world of relaxation. Especially on a cold winter day! The PR team invited me to experience one of their treatments and I chose to go for a Hammam & Gommage. This steam and body exfoliation is part of the authentic traditions of the Middle East. When I arrived I was taken into the change room, given a private locker, and a robe. I put my winter layers in the closet and hopped into the soft robe and went to the lounge area where I started to relax instantly. I had my own little booth with dim lighting. I sipped fruit infused water, tea, and snacked on dried fruit & nuts (see above). After a few minutes I was taken to the Hammam steam room where I relaxed on a Jerusalem gold marble for about 20 minutes. It felt SO good to just lay there and let my mind wander as I soaked up the steam. The Hammam cleanses your body while stimulating your senses and imagination. Next, I was treated to an invigorating full body Gommage (exfoliation) using eucalyptus infused black Moroccan soap. This experience is considered to be the ultimate detoxification treatment and I can agree 100%. I felt so good after the Hamman & Gommage, I didn’t want to leave! I went back to my private booth in the waiting area and laid back down. I wasn’t ready to face the world. Within a few minutes I was delivered some tea, fruit and baklava. See, you wouldn’t want to leave either! I absolutely love visiting the…
