Light Layers & Fall Looks + adidas outfit!

I love how warm it’s been lately, but the cooler nights have me thinking about all about fall! I am 100% a summer girl, but switching things up and starting to layer with light jackets and different fabrics is always so fun. There’s no bad weather if you have a good outfit!

I haven’t been shopping much lately, but I was sent a gift card in collaboration with adidas, so I used that opportunity to pick up some new stuff for fall. I got a new pair of adidas leggings and found the CUTEST OUTFIT ever in the kids section. 😂

LOOK AT THIS SET. I can’t wait for it to arrive. Sometimes the best finds are in the kids’ section!

I love this outfit so much! I also picked up the Samba – Jane shoes that are just too cute! I feel like they will look great with just about anything and even tights in the winter.

One of my favourite workout items are these adidas leggings, they fit great and wash so well. Whether I’m walking around Queen West, rolling out my yoga mat, or working from home, they’re perfect. The adidas women’s leggings collection offers a wide range of options designed for movement, comfort, and, of course, style.

Here’s what makes them stand out:

  • High-rise fits that stay put during workouts.
  • Breathable fabrics that don’t get too sweaty!
  • Great styles that look chic with sweaters, hoodies, or even a blazer!
  • Functional details ex. hidden pockets or side pockets.

Exercise & Mental Health

Over the past few years, fitness has become an essential part of my self-care routine. It’s not just about staying active, it’s about how moving my body makes me feel. Even short workouts make a massive difference in my energy and mindset.

  • A morning run helps clear my head and sparks creativity for the day.
  • Weight lifting makes me feel strong, and I love that I know HOW to use weights now.
  • Yoga & pilates make me feel grounded and help reduce stress.
  • A walk through the neighbourhood is like pressing a reset button.

I aim for a minimum of 10,000 steps every day and try to fit in at least 20 minutes of exercise. I find fitness GREATLY improves my mood. It’s proof that exercise is just as much for your mind as it is for your body. 🤗

The right outfit also helps! When I slip on a cute workout set, I feel stylish, comfortable, and motivated to show up for myself.

In other news, I’ve been meaning to go to my storage unit to get some clothes that have been hiding there for months. Every time I think about going there, it’s been too nice out! I really hope these warm summer temps stick around for a few more weeks. I’ll make it to the storage unit once the temps start dippin’!

Here’s to crisp air, cozy vibes, and stepping into a new season feeling strong, inside and out. 💫

Custom Jacket By Nigel Scott

My friend Nigel Scott painted a jacket just for me, and I absolutely LOVE it.

Nigel Scott is a Toronto-based artist, born in Jamaica, whose work is very much in conversation with the sea and the colour blue.

One of Nigel’s projects I’m especially proud to have worked on was his collaboration with Weaver & Loom. We transformed one of Nigel’s artworks into a hand-woven, hand-knotted rug made with wool & silk, in his “Conversations in Blue” series. It’s beautiful how his art transformed into a beautiful piece of luxury home decor.

Welcome to the Block – Small Talk Jazz!

Last night, I popped around the corner to celebrate the opening of Small Talk, Ossington’s brand-new jazz bar and let me tell you, it’s gorgeous. The space was buzzing with besties, great energy, and some seriously chic Toronto style. Hi Jen & my new friend Ann!

It was nice to see friends, get dressed up, and sip something fancy. I took my new friend Ann Lambert on our first friend date ever. It’s kinda crazy how we met, my friend Ryan was in Dublin and saw her do karaoke and was like ‘OMG YOU ARE JUST LIKE CASIE STEWART YOU NEED TO MEET HER’. He introduced us on Instagram, and when we met IRL, we were instant friends!

The evening had everything you’d want from a night out: good music, great food, and a little sparkle of something new.

A Few Highlights – Small Talk Jazz, Ossington

  • Menu by Afrim Pristine — luxe cheese & charcuterie boards, daily baguette sandwiches, and house-baked sourdough (so good).
  • Signature cocktails — yes, the Pornstar Martini is on the list 🍸 and they even have the only Moët & Chandon vending machine in the city!
  • Music vibes — live jazz, jazz-house, and a sultry soundtrack that makes you want to stay all night.
  • Design — by Block Plan Studios, featuring deep maroon tones, custom murals, vintage details, and cozy acoustics that make it feel timeless.
  • Monday nights — 50% off everything (food + drinks!) — Ossington finally has a reason to go out on a Monday.

Small Talk is open now at 110 Ossington Avenue, Thursday through Monday from 5 p.m. till late.

If you’re looking for a spot that’s equal parts chic, cozy, and vibey, this is it. Can’t wait to go back for another martini, great snacks, and live music.

Welcome to the block, Small Talk! 🥂

Hello! I Missed You! I Missed Blogging!

Well, hello there! It’s been a minute since I’ve updated here, my last post was back in JULY (!!).

Since then, I’ve been on a little unintended blogging break, thanks to some behind-the-scenes website stuff. Long story short: I had to update my GoDaddy storage plan, and shortly after renewing, I got hit with a notice that my blog was suddenly over the storage limit.

This blog has been my digital home for 20 years, 5,000+ posts, 20,000+ photos, some videos etc, she’s a thick site, haha, 💻✨ What followed was two months of back-and-forth with GoDaddy, running security checks, fiddling with firewalls, and trying to understand how my site had gotten so massive overnight. When it finally came time to “upgrade” to the plan I supposedly needed, it was SO EXPENSIVE.

I thought there had to be a better way. So, I did what any blogger would do: I asked the internet. I posted on Threads to see what other bloggers were using, and the recommendations led me to Hostinger. 🙌 I made the move, and I’m so glad I did. I was able to get a solid plan for a couple of years at a much more reasonable cost (aka not a million dollars lol).

👉 If you’re looking for hosting, here’s my affiliate link to Hostinger.

Now that the back end is sorted, I can finally get back to sharing life updates, stories, and little bits of sunshine. This summer has been a good one, lots of time with friends, long walks, lazy afternoons in the park, plenty of boat days, motorcycle rides, and endless sunshine. I’m heading into fall feeling happy, refreshed, and ready to write again.

That’s it for now, feels good to be back. Thanks for sticking around, missed ya! 💖

Opera, Pizza, & Hot Honey: A Night Out

Last week I went to the most unexpected event… an opera about frozen pizza.

Yup, you read that right.

Dr. Oetker launched a new premium frozen pizza called Suprema, and to celebrate, they put on a custom-written, one-act pizza opera at the TD Music Hall in downtown Toronto. It was funny, quirky, and brilliant, a theatrical blend of food, humour, and modern flair (one of the characters was an Alexa, lol).

I went with a couple of friends, and it was the perfect excuse to dress up a little fancy and do something fun together. Why am I like this and how is this the only group photo of us? 🤣

Why am I like this? lol

The opera itself was about 14 minutes long and genuinely entertaining. One of the highlights for me? As soon as the announcer (who also played the piano) started speaking, I clocked her accent; turns out she’s from New Zealand, so we had a lovely little Kiwi connection after the show. 💕

After the performance, we tried all four Suprema pizza varieties: Calabrese ‘Nduja with hot honey, five-cheese blend with DOP Grana Padano, roasted vegetable & balsamic glaze, and spicy salami & caramelized onion.

That sweet and spicy combo? Obsessed. The Calabrese ’Nduja was my favourite, especially with a drizzle of honey from the toppings bar. I love it when a brand activation goes the extra mile to make an experience feel elevated.

If you’re into unique events, free pizza, or want to say you’ve seen an opera about frozen pizza, this is your chance. Bravo, Dr. Oetker. 🍕🎶
