Friday is #FollowFriday on Twitter where you recommended someone you follow to your followers. Here are some of my fav’s. Recently started following Skeletica: The most stylish teenager skeleton in the after life! Love today’s fame monster/Gaga cartoon obvs. This is Drew aka @thatdrew, have a crush him from the interwebs. We’ve never met IRL but we will one day. He’s that Drew that had that #BlameDrewsCancer. Look, he has FOUR ipads here. ZOMG Nerdtastic! I also reco that you follow Michelle aka @irieras. Her blog is a constant stream of beautiful photos of girls & pretty things. I ask and bat my eyelashes even though I’m home blogging & tweeting in tights and a snuggy. …. talk nerdy to me… Responds with full name…which leads to a T.G.I.F. search,  twitter, google, internet, facebook. I’m the the jerk cause I don’t do it right after popping the question,. Only mildly curious anyways but mostly easily distracted and doing my own thing. First, search.twitter.com. No results, uses a branded twitter name so makes sense. Second engine, Google search, first result linkedin followed by FB and a couple other things. Third, Internet search, browsing any other site other than Twitter, Google or Facebook.  I check linkedin, history of pretty good jobs, nothing crazy and very professional. This is a good thing. Last check is FB, we’ve got about a dozen common friends. I know this social circle. Friendship requested.  The internet makes the world a small place. With just a name you can learn so much. This week I read a tweet that said if someone is not found on Google or FB, they’re probably a serial killer. Exaggerated yes, (I hope) but really now, someone with NO DIGITAL footprint at all? Makes me wonder if we could ever be friends.

The women’s downhill skiing was A MESS! So many ladies flying, falling, sliding and skating. Seven didn’t finish. It was crazy, did you see it? Wish I could embed the videos of it from gawker. I was like totally dying watching it. It’s like a scary freaking movie. I recently watched an old ski movie called Downhill Racer from 1969 . It featured a very young, hot Robert Redford. He was a smooth talker. This guy won another gold. Love watching him…flying in the air with his red ginger hair. It’s like a video game or something! I watched this video of wii Shaun White and it looks like IF you can do it the game, you can do it in real life.  Is that true? This Olympics stuff is a nice change from regular tv. I totally have a thing for the curling.

Here’s my Friday roundup of good shit I’ve found around the interwebs. I’ve had a busy ass week of long days and late nights…that’s the price you pay for doing what you love! I try not to get down on myself for not getting everything done right away. I’m kinda anal about sticking to my own rigorous schedule.  I have to remind myself “there’s only 24 hours in a day Casie and you need sleep to keep going”.  Talking to myself really helps too.  haha joking. not joking. Twitter: Need I say more? No. Google: Featuring a YouTube video I found the other day. The put a very unique Coke machine in a College. I like this kinda thing, makes ya feel good in the inside. Where will happiness strike next? Here, right here. Internet: News about Conan went wild in online this week. Then, he put his show on Craigslist. Clicking the image will take you to the original posting. Facebook: I posted on twitter looking for anyone with a Haiti connection that wanted to be on MuchOnDemand. I was connected to Didier Dorelien, a Haitian residing in Toronto now via Lava. I arranged for him to be on the show. Here is the video: I was really touched watching this video on Facebook. I found out last night that his parents have been located but there are still so many people missing. . He’s coming back next week to talk about Haiti with the governor general. I’ll continue to help out where I can. Hope you all had a great day 🙂
