I attended one of the first sessions for NXNE Interactive this morning. Couple people I know were on the panel and I like to surpport them as well as the session itself was interesting: Social Media Circle Jerking 101. I’m surprised that I didn’t take considering all the girls I saw there: Carly, Abby, Lucia, Lisa & Jas. That’s a social media circle jerk right there. haha. Couldn’t help but think of Raymi, she always calls the SM events circle jerks. It’s true really, a bunch of ‘meme’ people in a room talking about themselves. If you wanna see comments from the session or what people are saying, check the hashtag #nxnei. Gonna get back there this arvo for Lucia’s session. Then I get ma hair did by Darren Kwik. What should I do? MMVA weekend and I’m tryna hook up with Katy Perry to be honest Today is a good day if you make it one. Your choice!

I love Twitter for so many reason but one of them is this…FRIENDS! Friends that are always there to cheer you up because sometimes a little thing happens to steer you in the wrong direction. Today I  kinda got off to a bad start and naturally, I tweeted… then before you know it my friends popped out of the internet, took action and typed me some sunshine. You can’t get that type of widespread instant happiness anywhere else. I tried to take a pic of my outfit but it’s impossible with a phone camera. I really miss having my camera. Don’t you miss my outfit shots? Well, I do and that’s really what matters here. I’ll get a new one soon. Maybe this week. Anyone have a hookup with Canon/Kodak/Camera Store? I’ll love you forever just like I love Telus for hookin’ a sista up with the most amazing phone, Motorola Milestone. Lots of meetings today which means time is very valuable! Carly’s BF’s band Hail The Villan is on MOD today at 5’er. Sailor Jerry event tonight and I dressed kinda sailor inspired. Yahooo! Have a wonderful day. i ♥ you xo

Damnit, if I didn’t already work here, I’d be alllll over this shit. I’d love to see a show about hot bloggers, think Sex & the City vs. The Hills vs. something really nerdy & cool. Look what I got! Omg omg! I’d like to thank my Mum, Dad & sister Jenie and all my Twitter followers on @casiestewart & @mtvcanada. I love you guys! You inspire me everyday to keep being myself and keep a positive attitude. linking twitter to facebook fan pages

For a couple days I’ve been fussing around with how to link the Twitter for one of the pages at work to a Twitter account other than my own.  Obvs my personal account and the accounts I run at work are very different, as are the fan pages. I knew, I just knew it couldn’t be THAT hard and fussed around with a bunch of apps and FBML code and it was driving me nuts. I went straight to the source and called a trusty friend at Facebook named Andrew and he solved my problem in UNDER 4 MINUTES! Go to facebook.com/twitter, make sure you are logged in to the right Twitter account to connect to your page, click ‘link to Twitter’, authorization will happen and VOILA, DONE. Hit easy button. Lesson Learned: You can find EVERYTHING on Google but when you need a simple answer, ask a simple question at the source. I wasted about an hour searching, testing out crap and making phone calls when Andrew saved the day in no time. BOOYA! HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Abby and I have Degrassi a meeting this afternoon. My team is a gonna think we’re geeks, and well…they’re right! DEGRASSI FTW! You’re never too old to dress twinsies with your friends, ok. I ask and bat my eyelashes even though I’m home blogging & tweeting in tights and a snuggy. …. talk nerdy to me… Responds with full name…which leads to a T.G.I.F. search,  twitter, google, internet, facebook. I’m the the jerk cause I don’t do it right after popping the question,. Only mildly curious anyways but mostly easily distracted and doing my own thing. First, search.twitter.com. No results, uses a branded twitter name so makes sense. Second engine, Google search, first result linkedin followed by FB and a couple other things. Third, Internet search, browsing any other site other than Twitter, Google or Facebook.  I check linkedin, history of pretty good jobs, nothing crazy and very professional. This is a good thing. Last check is FB, we’ve got about a dozen common friends. I know this social circle. Friendship requested.  The internet makes the world a small place. With just a name you can learn so much. This week I read a tweet that said if someone is not found on Google or FB, they’re probably a serial killer. Exaggerated yes, (I hope) but really now, someone with NO DIGITAL footprint at all? Makes me wonder if we could ever be friends.
