TFC game was awesome, you should have been there

Pure awesomism at the Toronto FC game Saturday. It was seriously 10. EPIC. Look at this badass crew on the field… Group photos are so fun, lets do more of that ok. I loved seeing everyone IRL, it was a first meeting for a bunch of us. I had been REALLY excited ALL day week. Being there DURING world cup, priceless. This is my fav cheer “when the reds go marching in”. SUCH good energy. TFC games have THE BEST fans. I tried to pay attention to the game but was totally distracted by the funnest crowd ever. We got to go right down to the field as VIP’s with total babe as an escort (not me, the TFC guy on the left beside Michael). Chatted Jonathan about doing it again so don’t worry, you can come then. I was obvs prepped for the rain. This guy was prepped to cheer on! Michael was the ONLY guy with brolly for the downpour. They’re not allowed at games but somehow, he got away with it. Must be the charm or good looks? It was a tie and the crowd still cheered their faces off outside. It was stellar. We were hangin’ @ Liberty Bistro for a while after the game. God it was so fun. The owner  and I go way back to when I used to work in Liberty Vill so he hooked us up with sweet table etc. Love that little spot. Before we got table, we had hedge. Ola! Thursday is upon up and I’m feelin’ great. Popped over to #andomTO with Carly & O’Nizzle last night. Lots of familiar faces and a bunch of new ones.Aren’t we just the cutest? I look kinda meh but whatevs. Love. Carly blogged us too & took the pic. Vote for Lauren in the MMVA VVIP, last day today! Tonight is a Music Industry tweetup at Rovoli followed by me + my bed + tv + relaxing. Went to bed early last night, needed it. Bad. Feelin’ it again.  Law & Order Long & Boring at 11 puts me to bed. Love this shirt Crabby got for me. The calculator says BOOBIES hehe. Remember how much fun shit like that was when we were kids? Oh man. Getting creeped out about the G20, there was grafitti by my place this AM and thinking of shippin’ out of the city to work from Mum or Dad’s place. I live in prime PROTESTER-hang area between two banks. Grafitti was on this subways thing.  Red zone is the other side of the street there. Urgh… Not worth risking it if you ask me. Heard to day that wireless signals are going to be blocked in the area period & random too. Just what us NERDS LOOOOVE? I’d rather have no ability to leave my house for a week than have no internet. You can stack up on food but you can’t stack up on wifi. Started a new hashtag this morning… #FMN = fuck my neighbourhood. AAAAAAAAAAh! I’m ready for le weekend. Half day tomorrow ! WOOT WOOT! Next week is MMVA week 🙂

I’m back in action in TO and it’s nice to be here & back to regular scheduled blogging. Really stoked the weather is hot hot hot. I can’t help but be excited thinking about my next trip to see my  Boston loves. MISS YOU GUYS ALREADY! Saying I had an awesome time this weekend does not even begin to explain it. It will be a couple weeks before all the party pix are posted but I hope to get a few from Bob in the new week or so.  I hardly took any, can you believe it? I know, weird. The pool party was deff one of my favorite things of the weekend. This photo pretty much sums it up… Note the big Malibu bucket, 1950’s high waist bikini, , heart shaped glasses, latex outfit in the corner,  & Papa pushing me around in the floaty. Bob had an underwater camera that was massive amounts of fun. SOOOO looking forward to next year (360 days away). Oh, and check the shoes I got! MEOW!! I look like a damn GIANT in them. Probs gonna put them on to make dinner when I get home. They’re actually not that hard to walk or dance in to be honest. Have an awesome day. I’m hanging with my darling little sis tonight. I always miss her the most when I’m away. Yahoooooooo!

Woke up extra early and booted out the house for a speed walk in the sun. Totally gorgeous out, feels like summer. Got some sun yesterday. I forgot to put on sunscreen before I left the house today. (I know Mum, tomorrow ok!) I’m for sure gonna get super dark this year by traveling on foot to the office. Hope you have a splendid day. I wore a long flowy summer dress!! Yahoooooooooo!!!

The other day at lunch, I went to the park. I got my first summer street meat and sat in the grass. It was warm and sunny and it felt like heaven. I laid down in the grass and looked up at the sky and dreamed of far away places. It was the first day of wearing bare legs too. I love summer. I love summer. I love summer. it felt like a movie

I’ve  always wanted to go, since I was little. I remmeber watching old movies with the girls serving on rollerskates and the classic cars lined up in rows. Finally happened last night… I wore an vintage dress and brought a cardigan, felt kinda schooley. We were the only ones in an old car, 1960 Desoto, baby blue. We sat in the back, there’s no seatbelts and it’s like a couch back there. It was perfect. You’re not supposed to bring alcohol but everyone does. It would probably help if they had the bar open, they didn’t. You tune into the radio station as the movie starts to play. It felt like a movie. I watched Transformers, didn’t like it. That Fox is mighty sexy though.  The drive-in is at Polson Pier and they play two movies each night. It’s open on weekends and you can take a whole car load of people on Sunday’s for only $25. That’s a pretty good deal.

I had an awesome weekend. I’m digging that I’m not making myself feel like I have to blog on the weekend. Now that it’s springy and warm outside I want to get out and enjoy it. Really, really gotta get my bike on the road. I’m wearing open toed shoes today. The Gladiators. Today is Samuel Morse birthday and Google’s logo is in Morse code. I dig it. I’ve thought about getting a poem I wrote tattooed in Morse code. I like the way it looks.Cara and I went to Frock Swap on Saturday afternoon near Kensington. It was lovely. I snagged a few nice dresses. I’m lucky that so many vintage dresses are mini and they fit me just right. I always find a few jems. I wore these Pooh’s on my head while I was there. I liked them, they made me feel cool. I wore a strapless long dress tho show the shoulders to the sun. They got some love for sure. I also picked up a few new pairs of glasses. Necessary to have about a zillion pairs. I lose/break a few each year and I’ve got a drawer full of backups. Happy that the sun came out to play.

I can see Lake Ontario from my window and let me tell you, it looks damn cold ,nearly frozen. I was feeling quite chilly myself and went for a dip in my pool. The water was surprisingly warm and since it is enclosed in glass, the sun was shining brightly. Perfect for a lazy Sunday! Thanks to American Apparel for the suit. It’s evening and I’m watching Thomas Crown Affair on FOX. God, I love this movie. It just started!! Woo Hoo!

she was full of zeal

I’m really excited for 2009.Time to shine, feeling divine.I love how it rhymes. Shit. Did it again. Crime. Fun. I had a wonderful day today. Spent the morning sleeping followed by a little breakfast snack and coffee. Had a great visit with the lovely Karrera. I did a little exercise in my room. Proud of myself for getting a jump on the ‘New Years I’m gonna start the gym‘ phenomenon; I feel like I’m ahead of the game and gearing up for summer! Each day that passes is one day closer to summer. I’ve also gathered up heaps of supplies for the workshop. I have designed some really rad stuff for Spring/Summer 2009. I’m going to be working in the gallery space until it opens in the Spring, inspiring! I’m also stoked because I made a plan for August to join Karrera for Shambhala. Helloooo 2009, the year of opportunity!
