I’ve made it clear in the past that I love little pins you can add to your outfit because they just add so much character to your outfit. On top of this, they can be used to show support for a friend, business, or charity. I know a friend who got a pin artist to design them a pin that was a quirky way to promote their new business. It worked amazingly! But I love a pin that’s got meaning behind it. For exmaple, this year for Movember my friend has created a line of wooden lapel pins that are little tiny moustaches. I’ve been a MoSista for FIVE years! Movember: #MOGASM Party at The Drake Hotel on Friday

Ladies & gents! #MOgasmTO is back for the third hairy year. Some friends and I launched this at The Gladstone Hotel back in 2010. This year we’ve got a bunch of fun things planned including Mark Shannon’s Photo Booth, musical guests, Speedboats & Big Explosions AND the launch of the official MoSistasTO 2013 Calendar. Caldar was shot by Kevin Luc and styled by Alison from King & Fox. Last year I won a nailing contest (with hammer) and lost an arm wrestle. There are awards for best moustache, auctions, and drinks. I <4 Moustache season.

It’s great for raising awareness about men’s cancers but Movember also raises awareness of two other things, 1) The sexiness of a man who takes care of his health and 2) The sexiness of well groomed facial hair. I don’t think I would ever date a man who didn’t (couldn’t) grow a nice mo/beard. I love it. To start your own donation page register here and to donate to a team go here. canada raises the most money/has the most babes

Last night was a blast. I can’t believe how many good looking MO bro’s we have in our city. Ok let’s do this. Happy Friday and here are some fun photos 🙂 This one’s an Aussie import, Movember CEO Adam Garone. Total Babe. Ladies & gentlemen, meet your judges: Keri & I were judging Best Mo in Character. Did you know that Canada raises the most Movember money? WE ARE THE BEST. Check out Sabrina (who by the way is on Twitter now as @itsbrownbarbie) These are a couple of my fav costumes The bushwackers had a bunch of fans AND came with a slew of other recognizable WWF old timers. You would have loved it Dad. Classic – always a pair of these kids. I bet this guy knows how to have a good time. Ringmaster said these were his slaves. Ron, Burgundy? Goose. Asian one at that!! Harry & Lloyd, also a classic. Did they even have Mo’s in the movie? Fun fact: My Dad’s name is Lloyd Give me your jackets. Then it was stage time and things got a weeee crazier…yes, that’s a bare bum Borat. Adam was like “Dude, get off stage, that’s gross”. Haha. She was a bull. Love that idea. I love Movember. So many MO’s around this fine city. What is it I love so much about it? I like a man who can grow a nice one and the donating to charity. The fun of a whole mass of people doing good is pretty darn great too. I’ve got a video in the works showing off my MO gear. The Annual Movember Toronto Gala is Movember 25th at the Guvernment. See event deets on FB here. Judging starts at 10pm so bring your best MO cause I’m a judge again this year. Here’s a pic I took in last night’s fog. It was so crazy. My condo felt like a glass box in the sky. I couldn’t see the ground, the CN tower or the building next door. Thickest fog I’ve seen in the city ever! Some great ones on BlogTO today.

i’m looking for a dare to be great situation

Phone rung early and it was Mum calling from the boat in Virgina. They sailed down from NY and are stationed there for a few days. So wonderful to talk to her. I MISS YOU MUM. Woke up beside Andy, we fell asleep watching a movie on Netflix. Life is awesome. Pretty stoked for today, not exactly for any reason but I’ve got high hopes to make the most of the day. Watching Say Anything for the first time while I work. Have heaps of people to follow up with today. I am my own admin assistant. Been chatting with an agency in NYC about that Smirnoff commerical I am in. They’re processing my payment. I wanna do more commercials. I am really good at acting. Just ask Mum, I’ve been at it my whole life. Haha! Hope you have a wonderful day. Remember, you will never be as young as you are right now. how to having a mo-fucking-tastic time

…just go to the Movember Gala. So many photos from the night. Michelle has more on her camera that I will post later. I met a bunch of great people and had lots of fun being a judge. My category was best Mo Bro and Mo Sista so I got to mingle and look for a hot looking boy & girl that came with each other. Swim suits won for sure, they were awesome. Michelle and I were the babes that put the winning sashes on the winners. We stood on stage the whole time, it reminded me of my old beauty pageant days. Sigh. I’m modelling in a show for Puma at the flagship store in Yorkville tonight then it’s home to bed. [yes, i get to keep the clothes! woot] I’m getting up early tomorrow to hit the AA rummage sale. Luckily, I have VIP line by-pass. [haha suckers!!] The lineup today is like 500 blocks so you gots to get there early. This is my favorite photo from last night, just try not to smile. Woke up to a beautiful sunshine this morning. It doesn’t matter what happens in the day if I wake up and see a beautiful sunrise, I’m happy. It’s just so pretty. Remember when I posted about Movember? How are your faces growing? Good? Nasty? I hope you’ve got those babies groomed cause this Mo Sista is a JUDGE at the Toronto Movember Gala at the Kool Haus. Starts at 8pm, be there and find me if you want to win a prizey-prize. One of my Tweeps Gregory Alan Elliott told me he left a poem for me somewhere downtown and if I found it I win a prize. Is this it? Did i find it? Ooooh me loves prizes! I’ve written lots of poems. Did you know that when I was 16 I wrote and published an Anthology of Poetry and prose called JEANS [sorry it’s not online anywhere yet, I was still a book/pen/pencil girl]. A friend and I started a publishing company and then won young entrepreneur of my city. Fancy that! This is one of my most favorites, I wrote it at 7am walking along Bondi Beach in 2004. WHAT IS M O V E M B E R ?

“Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men’s health.” The Movember Foundation was started in Australia in 2004. It is a not for profit, charitable organization that implements a month long event called Movember each year in the month of November. Movember’s goal is to raise awareness around men’s health issues and raises funds charities chosen by each country involved, focussing primarily on prostate cancer. Before the Movember movement, prostate cancer was pretty unknown and not talked about. Now, due to the raised awareness, it is hoped that men know the signs and when to access help. Symptoms don’t usually present themselves until the cancer has grown big enough to put pressure on the urethra, which then causes issues with needing to urinate more frquently and having issues when urinating. If you suspect you may have prostate cancer, it is highly advised that you visit a urologist like Advanced Urology who will handle your situation with care and compassion, and talk you through diagnosis and treatment methods. However, these symptoms don’t automatically mean prostate cancer, although it is advised that you visit a urologist anyway to find the cause (which usually involves prostate enlargement). Movember unites men and encourages discussions on any prostate related topic. Even discussing remedies such as prostagenix is encouraged. Additionally, by raising awareness about prostate health, it is hoped that more men will be encouraged to get in touch with a doctor if they notice any issues so that any ailments can be addressed and treated. For example, although an enlarged prostate can be a sign of cancer, sometimes this enlargement can be benign. Above all, it can sometimes be reassuring to learn that the risk of prostate cancer…
