i’m available

i’m available

It’s true. No, I’m not looking for dates but I am looking to get together to talk with cool smart people who like to work with other cool smart people. I’m finishing up a contract this week and available as a consultant. I like to create fun campaigns that engage people online and connect them with cool brands.  I also like to get people off the couch and create experiences. I’m not camera shy or afraid of public speaking and I love having my picture taken. Since leaving CTV as MuchMusic & MTV‘s social media guru/content writer, my life has been really exciting. Over the last two months…I did red carpets and celebrity soirees during Toronto International Film Fest (TIFF). I spent 10 days in New Zealand with as an International VIP sitting front row at NZ Fashion Week (NZFW).  I hopped on a plane to San Francisco and met with the Virgin America team as their cheekly-little-rabble-rouser in Toronto. This week I am the spokesperson for the Arm Yourself campaign with GSK and for the next year, I am your Virgin America Provocateur. I’m young, smart, creative and a bank rich w/ ideas. how would you describe me in 140 characters?

I’ve been included in an awesome set of photos by my friend & photographer Rannie Turrigan called 140 Characters. The concept is cool, 140 Characters and a bio for each person he shoots. You know Twitter is 140 chars by now right? Please say yes. OMG. I’ve not got a bio up for my pic yet. I found it hard to describe myself? Hmmmm….awesome? Crazy, awesome, charming, beautiful? Haha, see it aint’ that eezzzzz. I reckon it’s easier for someone else to describe you, err drscribe ME. What would you say? The photos will be on display tonight at TweetgasmTO at the Gladstone Hotel. Oh man, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today with a nasty kink in my neck. It’s been hurting for two days now. Gets less hurting as the day goes by but OMFG it kills. Last night we tried to change the PW on our wireless network and y’know what, imma not that savy at the ‘networking’ side of things and I effed up the internet. In other great networking news our cable effed up yesterday too. RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. I hate missing my show.  So, today I woke up with no cable, or internet. First world problems FTW! Right when I was about to have a breakdown, my phone rang. It was Superman. My friend Michael Nus called at the right time and was in my hood and he came over and fixed my internet! THANK YOU. Shortly after, the cable guy called and told me there was an outage last night and I reset the cable box and that was fixed too. Oh yeah, I just got my Y and R fix, I feel better, that shit is addictive man. Y’know what happend next?  I got mail! Now Richard Branson and I own the same watch. I realy hope I get to meet him next week in SF. Thanks Valerie and Plastic Chic for the new watch. I’ve not had a watch since highschool. It was a real Gucci watch and I took it off to teach some kids breakdancing and got called on stage. When I went back, it was gone. I’m gonna keep this one safe! sorry but i just don’t have a face for radio ok

This weekend was a good one for me. I didn’t clean my room (like planned) or have thanksgiving dinner but I did make changes to my blog, hang out with friends and do a radio show. Take a peek around, I’ve added some pages, changed links from redish to hot pink, and a few other tweaks here and there. Let me know what you think. Ok so I’m not speaking at TedxTO today but I have been chosen as part of the select group to attend. You can catch the LIVE STREAM here. Naturally, I’m dressed cute as a button in a vintage 1960’s dress from a small shop in St. Kevin’s Arcade on K-Road in Auckland. I’ll be blogging (hopefully) a bit during the day and letting you know what smart things I’m learning and listening to. I need to get that infinity tattoo redone asap. Pretty to see lots of friends there today who I’ve not seen in a while. Oh, guess what else I did this morning? I went to the gym and ran 2k. I’ve been thinking I should really get off my ass and be more active and I thought about it so much that it got me out of bed and all the way downstairs to the gym. I’m proud of myself. Ever wonder what the front row is tweeting from? What camera’s at the show? Stylish gadgets I tell ya. Busy as for the next month when I return home. Luckily it’s with all my favourite things; tech, style & music – TedX Toronto elite invite only geek conference, Indie Music Week and LG Fashion Week. I just googled LGFW and it means ‘Lets Get Fuckin’ Wankered’. haha Man I love NZ. It’s pretty small but really nice. There’s a few things I’d have liked to get done ex. bungy jump, see Palmy or visit Waiheke Island. Imma just gonna have to come back. It’s been ten years since I was last here and I’m not letting that happen again. Venus took these photos of us, top is front row at the Huffer show Friday night. Their collection is stuff I’d wear but reminded me H&M and I just can’t get over that it’s called HUFFER. We all know what Huffing is, no? Richard from Monster Media took this one. Sums up TIFFest pretty good I reckon. Thank you TIFF, Stella and all the agencies and all the people who have had me out to great events and films over the last week or so. It’s been my best year at TIFF ever and I’m throwing in the towel.  Need to rest up and get ready to take on New Zealand. Was at  (diet) Coke party first last night, was fun. They had a photo booth, you know I love that. Rode in a big Coke limo. Fun fun crazy. Shiny disco balls. Wore some recent goodies I’ve been given last night: Vest + skirt from Old Navy. White shirt + boots from Marks WW. Heart locket H&M. Lipstick is Poppy from Joe Fresh new makeup collection. Thanks guys. Boots are quite lovely. Nice colour and salt proof. Gonna test that hard this winter, walking in snow banks. Andrew F Stewart & Rannie, Photojunkie. Sent Rochelle to Festival Music House in my place but then I showed up anyways later. Was a guestlist asshole bringing people. I don’t like to do that but it was necessary last night. Appreciate Rock-It Promo for being so kind to me and not being mad at me. This looks good on me. Brocklyn was a hit again last night. Rising star he is. Watch it. Carly is his agent now. Her talent roster is a garden of awesome in bloom.
