GRETA CONSTANTINE SS11

Friday night I had the pleasure of attending the Greta Constantine SS11 show at 161 Spadina. It was a who’s who of Toronto’s fashion. The clothes were beautiful, Coco Rocha walked the stage and I had a blast with friends. Here are some of the hot shots! For photos of the show check out Lynsie’s blog. She was back stage and on the runway getting some totally amazing shots of the collection. lynsie roberts, fashion photographer/blogger

the most annoying thing you could ever ask me

“what are you up to these days? how is everything going?” What does that even mean? Really? Like, how is EVERYTHING going? Well, let me think, do you have all day to sit down and listen to me tell you? Would you like for me to re-write my daily blog in an email? Do you even really wanna know? Could you not just have looked at my profile on any zillion social networks and seen where I work or that I recently uploaded photos and went to a party or two.  Facebook makes it so easy for old friends acquaintances to see what you’ve been up to. So, why do people ask such general and impersonal questions? If you’re my friend on FB you’ll be used to seeing my little square face  in your news feed with photos, blog posts and status updates.  IF we’re friends, (emphasis on the IF) it’s pretty easy to see what someone’s been up to.  I always check a friends profile before I message them, that’s what Facebook is for! Duh. So, when and old friend asks “what are you up to these days? how’s everything going?”  I think to myself, we must not be friends and you probably don’t care. Urgh, rant much? if you ever wanna ask me something crazy, fun or just plain outta this world go right ahead. Happy Day 🙂 Originally posted January 2010

sorry but i just don’t have a face for radio ok

This weekend was a good one for me. I didn’t clean my room (like planned) or have thanksgiving dinner but I did make changes to my blog, hang out with friends and do a radio show. Take a peek around, I’ve added some pages, changed links from redish to hot pink, and a few other tweaks here and there. Let me know what you think. Big, UPS to Patrick from Toronto City Life for helping. You rule dude. We’re kicking things up a notch at the casiestewart.com office. PAWS UP. On Sunday afternoon while many of you were stuffing yourselves, I was a guest on Perpetual Radio Network’s Social Media Show. I dropped  in to discuss Toronto International Film Fest (TIFF), New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW), the Virgin America Provocateur contest/win, influencers and much more. Give a listen or download the podcast for the train ride home today. It’s free and awesome. Happy Monday 🙂 P.S Check out Ontario Microfit: This program offers substantial benefits for home and business owners who develop small or ‘micro’ renewable solar power systems of 10 kilowatts or less. Yay envirinment!

just call me domestic diva

oh em gee, a baby! You wouldn’t normally say “domestic” with me in mind, I’m usually the opposite. Not really into cooking, children, cleaning and stuff like that. However, last night I cleaned my room, vacuumed and made a hearty butternut squash soup…from scratch! It startes like this, boiling the squash then peeling and putting in blender with magic ingredients before letting it simmer on the stove. Very tasty. If you wanna try just ask! I’m actually pretty good at cooking, Mum taught me well. The thing is, when you’re single, cooking for one person isn’t really that fun. I love entertaining (surprised?) and having people over, that’s when my Martha skills come out. How hot is Sabrina working our new LG Kompressor unit. Dayum grrrl! This thing sucks like a mofo. Our house is like mad clean atm. You can sleep on the carpets. I have to keep it that was cause a crew is coming to film at my place for an upcoming project on Monday. Tres exciting 🙂 Ok, TED afternoon session is about to start! I’m ready to be INSPIRED! Hope you are having a wonderful day. PS: I’m not affraid of babies anymore. Look at Isabella, she is just too cute for words. MISS YOU! I know she can’t read this yet but I just wanna let her know. xo

A Call to Action #tedxtoronto

This morning has been so inspiring. Currently Broadway Sleep are performing and they are an eight piece group. Great voices, pretty faces. I’m sitting front row with @andrewfstewart @kristenannehill and @chrisunwin. Seen heaps of people today who are all excited and feel proud to be here. You can be here too by dropping into the live stream. I posted the link in my earlier post! Pretty stoked for all the goodness I’m gonna soak up today. If you thought I was positive and excited about life before, just wait till the end of today! Sending love + light from the front row at TedXTO!

nothing like sleeping in your own bed again

I stayed up late after I arrived home last night, couldn’t sleep. I got into my leopard snuggie and watched all last week’s episodes of the Young and the Restless in a row. Slept till two in the avo today and feeling quite energized now. I’ve gotta clean up all the goodies I have scattered around the house. My Kiwi friends wanted to know what the view was like from my house. It’s quite cloudy today but you get the idea. This is the CN tower. Puts Aucklands SkyCity tower to shame, sorry kids. They do have the tallest free standing in the Southern Hemisphere though. May-jah traffic here. This is the airport, Porter Airlines I told you about. Really great airline. Stylish outfits & great service. Good thing I have this spankin’ new LG Kompressor Vacuum to help me clean up the mess from dumping my suitcase and heaps of NZ goodies on the floor. It makes this cute sound when you turn it on. Happy to add it to my many gadgets around the house. The handle actually works wirelessly with batteries to turn it on! Is that not the coolest thing eva? Ok, well the coolest thing in vacuum technology mate! I’m sure there are probably much better models now though, taking a look at review sites for wireless vacuums over at sites such https://allgreatvacuums.com/best-cordless-sweeper-reviews-for-floor-and-carpets/ could help you find your next cool vacuum too! I’m so happy to be home. I loved NZ and hope to get back in the next year but my gosh, it’s great to be home. I’m back on the Telus 3G and have my double monitor setup for my comp and North American TV poppin. Big ups to Telus for keeping me connected while I was in NZ. I was able to…

My driver who picked Derek and I up at the Auckland Airport this AM bright & early. NZFW Sponsors for sharing all these goodies and placing them in my room. The Weston Auckland Lighter Quay for the Beautiful room on the Auckland Harbour – City of Sails baby. The City of Auckland for WIFI everythere. Derek Fabulous because he is my new BFF. This song by Lily Allen I just saw on NZ Juice TV. Meeting up with my Kiwi friend I’ve not seen in like 10 years MC Bling! Peach out till later. Will post a pic of my outfit before tonight’s NZFW opening party if not in too much of a rush. You know how I am always slow/late. Fashionably! Hope you are having a lovely day. I’m doing what I always wanted to and loving every single minute of it. Good thing I slept the whole way here. xo

i’m over you baby, i’m moving on

Richard from Monster Media took this one. Sums up TIFFest pretty good I reckon. Thank you TIFF, Stella and all the agencies and all the people who have had me out to great events and films over the last week or so. It’s been my best year at TIFF ever and I’m throwing in the towel.  Need to rest up and get ready to take on New Zealand. Was at  (diet) Coke party first last night, was fun. They had a photo booth, you know I love that. Rode in a big Coke limo. Fun fun crazy. Shiny disco balls. Wore some recent goodies I’ve been given last night: Vest + skirt from Old Navy. White shirt + boots from Marks WW. Heart locket H&M. Lipstick is Poppy from Joe Fresh new makeup collection. Thanks guys. Boots are quite lovely. Nice colour and salt proof. Gonna test that hard this winter, walking in snow banks. Andrew F Stewart & Rannie, Photojunkie. Sent Rochelle to Festival Music House in my place but then I showed up anyways later. Was a guestlist asshole bringing people. I don’t like to do that but it was necessary last night. Appreciate Rock-It Promo for being so kind to me and not being mad at me. This looks good on me. Brocklyn was a hit again last night. Rising star he is. Watch it. Carly is his agent now. Her talent roster is a garden of awesome in bloom. Woke up to a message that I’ve got a minder/wrangler for NZFW. She’s a NZ hottie who goes by the name of Venus Tong, she is the head bitch at Party of Wolves, nightlife photography. I’ve also got a car picking me up at the airport. Hoping a handsome man in uniform is holding a sign with…

TIFFriday.

Last night was fun. I was with Carly, Down With Webster boys, Brock, and some socialy types. Ran into Randall from MuchMusic & Matt the DWW boys stylist and other  cool people. These are my friends. Vandilism. My babes. Hey do you? DWW Kyle & his Mrs. Brocklyn. Carly reporting for Sean Ward. I have no time today. I would love to lay in bed and watch TV but I need to be at the Four Seasons really soon then the gifting lounge at the other hotel and then the Hazelton for something else. After that I need to scoot home and change then meet my hot date who is in a band and take him as arm candy to the CBC big deal party at the Hazelton again. TIFF is tiring, this is only day 2. zomg. BYEEEEEEEEE!
