Day 267: Take a Long Walk in The Sun

After a day of rest, I was ready to go out into the world. I woke up early, got dressed, and ventured out for a coffee. I chatted with a friend for an hour before picking up a few groceries. It was so nice and sunny out! Love a good long walk in the sun. When I got back home I put on (yes, another!) Christmas movie and made falafels, an Israeli-inspired salad, and some delicious orzo in the Instant Pot. I made plans to go on a photo walk with April and walked down to Queen & Lansdowne. We hung out in the sun, taking photos in the alleys. It was so lovely! We walked west to the Bellwoods from Parkdale, I picked a bouquet of eucalyptus from Crown Flora and a vegan cookie from The Drake. We sat in the park for a little bit, taking in the sun, before heading back home. It’s so nice to be back in the city, walking the streets, and having distance hangs with friends. Gotta appreciate all the little things!

Welcome to Fabulous. Dream it. Do it.

Last pic in the hotel before Leaving Las Vegas. Classic movie.  My hair is slowly growing crazy, crazy growing slowly. Hurry up. Gelatin will make you hair & nails grow fast. Buying Jello tomorrow. Whenever I’m in the USA people always stop & compliment my hair. It’s unique there I guess. I see cute short haired blonde girls in Toronto and on the internet all the time so it always catches me off guard. Roots are quite popular too. Getting them done by Darren Kwik this week.  The night before I left was CRAZY. When I got to the door at TAO I gave the word I was here and a tall hot VIP host named Logan walked me through the crowd to the private party. (Exactly how I imagined it should would be in Vegas TBH.) I remember always ready about Paris Hilton hanging out there.  Thanks NextGen & my friends for a fun night. Met some rad people. The dance floor was insane, so crowded. I only went there for 5 minutes at a time before scurrying back to bottle service. I don’t care if that sounds snobby, it was awesome and I was livin’ it up. Check out this dancing girl covered in neon body paint. Shake that! Keek/casiestewart: Neon dancing girl at #TAO #Vegascom There are these huge faces of CT all over the Luxor for his show. He creeps me out. Bonga is kinda obsessed with him. (I hope he reads this HAHA!) I did not gamble or see any shows the entire time I was in Vegas. I did make it to Spearmint Rhino for a lap dance from a lovely shoe model. It’s like one of those things you just have to do. While wastng time before the airport I wandered into a little shop in the hotel and met…

Spin around in a world of fashion, tech & glitter for one day.

First stop today was Sherway Gardens with Barbie. I got a Fousqaure “Mall Rat” badge (shame!) cause I’ve been to five malls. Ok, that’s not really bad. If you get to ten you get another badge. I’m not much of a mall-goer anymore so it’s especially exciting to do a couple laps during the holidays. Love the decorations, the tree and today I even saw Santa. Got a new hard drive to back up my Macbook Air baby, James Dean.  Technology is so stylish. Today I fact checked something about my life from this post. It was about ten days ago but I could not for the life of me remember. New app Diptic lets me do cool things with photos like make them into the four below. This other app I downloaded is 360 Panoramic, check out this I made in the dressing room. Might just be my new fav thing (of the week). I don’t have the option to embed the 360 but here’s a screenshot. If you click either image the real 360 pano will open in a new window and you can have a full spin around. Pretty neat app! It’s $.99 at the corner store. Nerd candy. First outfit is what I wore today, black lace bottom dress from Bicyclette, skully cardigan from somewhere and leopard hat from H&M. At StyleExchange I got this heart sweater, leopard sheer number was too big, loved the sleeveless chiffon button down.   Got this darling holiday sweater at CTS, my fav spot, I’m Mayor on 4sq. They are now on Twitter! Follow @CTS_Queen. Posted a cool artice/vid from BBC about Toronto’s booming & competitive vintage scene. They finish with the Deadly Nightshades all girl bike gang. Pretty awesome & two things I love, bikes & vintage. Barbie was getting all ready for a…

Life Was Made for Living So Try Your Best

Couple days behind on documenting my trip, it’s just so lovely outside, who wants to be on the computer?! Yesterday I went sailing to Tortuga Island and have HEAPS of photos. The day before I went to visit Tracy’s hostel and hung out with her & Barratt. This is her view! Breathtaking. Barratt and I had lunch at this little café and they gave us cutlery in plastic. Never seen that before. I had a sandwich but it was nothing special. While I was sitting there the owner of the place I stayed the night before walked by and asked to talk to me. My first thought,”sh!t, I’m in trouble for being loud, drinking and smoking” but that was not the case at all! He gave me back 5000$ colones ($10) because he felt bad that it was under construction and I had paid a full $20. Score! After lunch I waited at the bar (Choco’s) for the other Anamaya people to finish up surfing. I’m a bit silly though and forgot our driver parked somewhere else and I totally missed the ride back up the hill of death (mega steep). Liquid dinner again. Good thing though cause I met this lovely blonde girl from England named Jules. Her and I hit it off right away, she’s crazy like me! HI JULES! <3 One of a kind, & hand painted designer cigarettes. Ok, hand painted by me with Sharpie but cool. Borderline Artistic! Jules and I played pool with some local boys and we all brought our own drinks to the bar. Crazy! Meet the Israeli boys babes  Evyatar & Amir. Quite lovely! Since there’s only one bar in town you get to know everyone pretty quick, especially when you’re tres friendly and Casie Stewart. No seriously though, I’ve met heaps…
