Today is freezing. The weather’s not fit for walking outside. The wind is chilling on my skin. The sun is bright. My feelings are warm but my face is not. Spring is on it’s way, just not today!! View PostI have a confession to make and am doing it publicly for education’s sake. I went to university and college over 4.5 fun filled years. I am a big fan of education and educate myself every single day. While I was in post secondary school, I rarely bought any books. I learned most the stuff I needed to pass class online; yes from the Internet. This is the library I where I used to hang out. By doing this I saved money for other important things which I am sure you can imagine. I also chose which classes I attended very carefully; the mandatory ones with attendance and quizzes. Be careful if you choose to take this route, it can be dangerous, it involves a lot of self-motivation and self-study that other people just don’t actually ‘see’ happening. In other words, I got into a few scraps with several students over how the hell I got the grade with no books while skipping class. It takes work. That’s how I did it. My thirst for knowledge has always run strong and this carried me through school. Stay tuned into things you like, follow your passions. View PostI’m definitely digging the poetic lyrical stylings of wordPEOPLE. Lead singer Missy C passed over their newest album ‘The Peoples Eatery’ for me to check out and I am impressed. I have a love for well written lyrics and lust for beats with rhyme and style. There’s a common sound between older Black Eyed Peas or Roots albums that is positive & uplifting, makes you bob your head while you listen. Missy C has a soothing voice that makes me wish I knew the lyrics so I could sing along. I also know that she has wicked style, looking forward to seeing her on stage! The emcee ape.X can rhyme the way I like, quick but clear. Makes you want to listen to it over and over. My favorite tracks are ‘Just Don’t Know, ‘People’ cause of the fat fast pace and the album title track ‘The Peoples Eatery’. The track ‘Swinga Things’ has a really light beat that’s super catchy; reminds me a bit of Lilly Allen. I love it.The sound of this entire album is kinda R&B, funk, rock, with some old school flava; an eclectic mix of music to my ears. I can see myself dancing at their next show or on a sunny summer afternoon with pints and friends (same thing). I’m looking forward to their next show. They just played in Guelph last week. I’m keen to check out the live performance for stage presence, seems like they have a lot of energy, and well, that is exactly what I like.

There’s something about Russian girls and theses hats that is super hot. I keep thinking to myself ‘each day is one closer to summer’ hoping it will keep my spirits up. I usually get the S.A.D.ness this time of year and I’m tryna fight it. Taking vitamin D and B50 complex helps alot.

The object of the competition is to create a short film incorporating Moviefone’s red phone and 2 other props that represent the most memorable films from the first 25 years of Sundance. By winning this competition the director and BFF will get to go to Sundance 2009 and meet with some big shot producers, have a fancy live screening, be promoted all over the internet (YouTube) and get some fast cash. This year, two dudes from Toronto, Jake Kovnat and Ben Goldenberg are in the TOP TEN! Their movie is called “White Collar Criminals” and I think it is pretty damn good. I grasped my gadget and gladly grabbed the little bugger as he danced along my arm trying to get higher. I would not let him. I refused to have him in my head. I refused to let anyone knock me dead. His little legs dangled and danced as I tossed him into the night sky. What flight may take him soaring high? It is the wind. It is the moon. Little spider, I will see you soon. I love tattoos. View PostYesterday I was in Kensington and walked past and interesting art project. It was a tree standing tall and alone dressed in meat. In the middle of the tree was a nest made of real fish and contained what looked like an egg that was made out of meat also. The crew around the tree with a camera were capturing the reaction of people to the art installation. I peeked into the nest to snap a photo and just about fell into the thing. The meat looked quite gross but I really could appreciate the time it took and art concept. I must say I have never seen something of that sort. I do not recommend touching it as I kinda find it disgusting, as you would, but I do recommend passing through Kensington and checking it out. The artist close to remain anonymous.Was a nice sunny day yesterday, maybe it’s cooked now!
View PostI’m sitting in the subway and find it very warm and awkward. I haven’t ridden this rocket in quite some time. Its full of people and glass and their ass on the glass in your damn face. Its weird for me. I never seem to mind if I’m with friends and chatting or after a few drinks. Then, you are not alone. Alas, I find myself between the glass and someone foreign and someone else in a suit. All the time, everyone glances around staring at ads for a therapist, a job, trouble with erectile dysfunction to which if you actually do need help with your flaccid penis, you might want to buy VigRX Plus male enhancement pills, all in between beautiful blondes and subway tracks. View PostLast week I picked up this book from a second hand book store on Queen Street. As a child I often spent time sewing with mum at the kitchen table. She used to make all of our dance costumes for competitions and recitals. As for myself, I’d come up with some interesting fashion designs and sometimes dress up my little sister in my ‘unique’ styles. The book has a great introduction to designing & drawing and the best part, it is from 1992! Second hand book stores are so full of life and wonder, you can go on an adventure, travel in time or visit countries & royals. I’m looking forward to the winter to bust out the sewing machine and create some vintage classic, 1992 inspired pieces!

View PostAs you may be aware, I have a bike. I love this bike and I love riding it. A while ago I was riding my bike in a beautiful long summer dress which was flowing & big glasses gleaming. As I approached a traffic light ,I was paired beside a truck of men who were clearly involved in some type of labour work. They were obviously enjoying my bike ride just about as much as I was. At that point, the light changed, I proceeded to pedal forward. They drove forward. I continued, and they, totally fucking rear ended the car in front of them. I tried my best not to laugh, when an elderly man turned to me and said, “You better get out of here little lady, those boys are going to be mighty embarrassed if they see you around”. The End.
