Thomas Sabo UK Trip – Day 1 Photo Diary

On December 4th I went to London, UK with Thomas Sabo and Faulhaber Communications for the launch of Thomas Sabo Spring Summer 2013 collection. I have wanted to to to England for so long. Although only a short trip, it was awesome to travel in style, and attend the launch event with media from 18 countries. This is the first post of four documenting three days in London and a the first event in history at The Shard (brand new tallest building in the whole EU!). Check out Thomas Sabo at thomassabo.com. Huge thank you to Faulhaber Communications, Lindsay, Thomas Sabo and the entire company for taking me on this journey.  And Le Meridian Picadilly for a great stay! Here we go… Good morning London! CAT Footwear boots, Brandy Mellville shirt, Puma scarf Driver! UK has big money. I left Canada the day the Kate Middleton pregnancy was announced. Hotel was beautiful. Today is my three month anniversary at Community.

Took an iPhoto almost every day since September 14, 2012. I love working here. It blows my mind to see how my life has changed from starting this blog to this job. I feel like I’m just getting started.  Look out world here I come. Making dentist appointment next week!  Ha 🙂 HAPPY FRIDAY OMG! We have our FINAL Santa Baby show tonight at The Mod Club. Doors 9pm. Get there early. This is the hottest damn show this holiday season. You do not want to miss it. My Dad and his fiance are coming!  I’m heading to our office holiday party after the show. Seems every time there’s a work party I am in costume, remember Halloween?  I hope they are ready for my fake eyelashes! Huzzahhh! Have an awesome day! Love and light, CASIE

You think YOU have #FirstWorldProblems? Think again.

We are all guilty of it, taking things for granted because of the amazing lives we have and forgetting that millions of people in the world have much less than we do. About a year ago, my Mum returned from a one year sailing expedition to the Bahamas. They spent and entire year living on the boat sailing to the Bahamas from Ontario and back. One of the things I remember Mum saying once she returned to work, despite missing her sailing life, was “But CASIE, we have FRESH RUNNING WATER!“. I always remind myself of that moment when I’m about to complain that my XBOX isn’t connecting to the TV, or my wifi going down, or a chipped nail, or my iPhone app crashing, or when they don’t have my fav soup at the coffee shop that day. These aren’t REAL problems! My friends at Me to We are all about living the change and making the world a better place. Craig Kielburger and his brother Marc has written a book called My Grandma Follows Me on Twitter: And Other First World Problems We’re Lucky to Have. Below are some of excerpts from the book: Me to We have an awesome collection of gifts for the holidays. Check out the Artisans collection for jewellery made by women in Africa. There’s a TON of stocking stuffers with IMPACT. Don’t just give meaningless gifts this season, give gifts that help spread positive messages. For You from Me to We I have a few books that I would love to put a note in and send to you for the holidays. Leave a comment with your worst FirstWorldProblems or Tweet me. I’ll pick winners by the end of the week so I can send them off to you in the mail. Tweet to @CasieStewart Happy Holidays from…

There’s this one really neat photobooth where you can 3D print little action figures! Saw some 3D printing at the Wired Pop-Up shop in London, UK last week.
