Good Morning! I feel like I could be a radio show today. I am happy to be at work. It’s a beautiful day might even thunderstorm later. The ride in is what I have been missing for the past two weeks. Breaks fixed. Wore my helmet and felt good about it. Smarter, like it keeps my thoughts all bunched up close together and in a jumble and now I sit here and they all flow out like waterfalls fast how I like them to. Held my nose past the slaughterhouse, stinks bad man. Gross. NO strikers anymore. Good thing. Saw a soda pop van covered in astro-turf grass. Breakfast Television has lost my interest but I like the news and weather of CP24.
Hot today still humid. Thunderstorm would be nice. I like to ride through the puddles. Dad’s got a sewing machine for me and I’ve got heaps of fabric and vintage patterns at home. Really excited. Twestival Local is coming up September 12th 2009, mark your calendar. In Twestival Global raised over $250,000.00 for charity: water. It was really fun. Twitter has grown so much since February. I hope it rains when I bike home.
it was really nice to see you yesterday
It’s been so nice out all weekend. I got just what I wanted which was lots of rest and home time. Some friends did a drive by last night and fixed my break. THANKS GUYS!! I think it was the ropes for window cleaning that spooked me. Something to do with rock climbing and the impulsive desire to swing down them.
This seagull remind me of a magpie at Grandad’s batch in New Zealand on the coast near Glenburn Station. I think it was a magpie? Mum said they named it and it used to sit on a post just like this little guy here at the Harboufront.
beautiful day in the neighborhood
It’s really sunny and the air is warm and there’s a soft breeze blowing my hair around. For the first time I felt scared being up really high. I’m not even afraid of heights…I guess I was kidding myself this whole time. I got some replacement glasses of the ones I gave you mum. Is there anything that rhymes with neighborhood other than gayborhood? I was trying to open the bag to get the tripod. Nice visit from Dad today. Good day for walking around. Took them to the music garden and harbourfront. So pretty by the water. Calm.
garage sale vintage steal
One time Jenie and I went out to a fashion party and we decided to wear these vintage dresses from the 1950’s. Mum snagged then at a garage sale. Probably from an old lady. It was awesome wearing them. We both felt so elegant while the other girls wore mall clothes. It was our debut and the first time they were out in over 20 years. We were a hit! Thanks Mum!
the young and the restless
I wanted to wear the dress for ages. It’s so cute but short. Mum brought it back from the homeland a couple months ago. She made it when she was about 16 and Nana had it. Raymi had this hat in her purse. Good one. I haven’t done a sneek attack like that in ages. I loved it. Recognize same face…haha.
Lots of cool peeps were at the Notable TV party. We were all celebrating them being named Top 5 Emerging Digital Brands in Canada for 2009. Nice to see a bunch of bloggers. Love that too.
Talia was looking hot! Her Sunshine girl photo is here. If you never saw mine from 2001, it’s here. I have a heap of photos from the night here. Nice Raymi and Reado. Was a fun party.
Marben is packed on Thursdays. It’s nice to run into so many familiar faces in one little local spot. Vaneska was DJ and the music was rad. Danced a bit around the vodka table. Mostly chair dancing as not to spill drink, fall or get a bruise from the table.
some of the club clothes you were mentioning
Before we went there was an unfortunate accident when I opened the freezer door and a vodka fell out and smashed on the clen kitchen floor. Smashed. Full bottle. SO accident prone. Got a battle would cleaning up the glass. Thank goodness boyscout had bandaids.
Congrats to Julian and NotableTV. SO happy it’s the weekend. Staying way from Caribana crowds. I used to go when I was a teenager but I don’t like it anymore. Bring on the sunshine!
you’ve won an all inclusive vacation to balconia
Nice outside today.
I had a teacher in college that said he was spending the summer in beautiful Balconia and I assumed it was somewhere in Europe. Nope, Blaconia = balcony, as in your own. It’s a more mod and exotic way to say the now popular term ‘staycation’.
These are something things in my room I like a lot.
Natalie Dee = favorite comic. She’s a riot. She posts new ones everyday. I have heaps of hers saved to look at later. This is a good one. One of my first blog stickers is on the bottom.
One of my most favorite photos us us girls. It was in the back yard at Mum’s one summer. It’s been ages since I went home. I reckon i’m due.
We used to have this Zen page-a-day calendar at home back in the 1990’s. I always really like the Shakespeare ones.
holizontal more than vertical
if you’ve been reading for a while you might have seen these but if you haven’t you may like them. i watched a few old videos today and it’s totally time for a whole new set to get made. these are two of my favorites.
i feel like having a lazy weekend with myself. the kind where you stay in your room and listen to music. eat chips in bed. fall asleep with a bottle of wine on the bed side table. draw in my sketch book. make stuff on computer. get back to people. paint on some clothes. maybe sew something. play dress up in my closet. read a book. take naps. wear the same clothes the next day and don’t even shower like a skid. watch old movies. maybe i’ll buy annie hall finally since mum hasn’t returned it. watching sex and the city online while i work. makes me productive like when the tv is on at home. i got a package in the mail waiting at home. exciting.
i want to relax and play with my thoughts. i want that kinda weekend.
xylophones and zebras
i don’t always have coffee but sometimes i do. i make patterns in some things and avoid them in others. i like to avoid doing things in sequence that seem predictable. like smoking for example. i rarely smoke at work or during the day. not that it makes it any better. i love croissants. plain. butter. i don’t mind so much when it rains.
it’s like winter, you have to dress for it. wellies are obvious. sabrina said ‘you have so many’ rain jackets. that’s because when it rains i get sad sometimes and when i have a nice jacket to wear i shift my perception that day and go ‘yes! i get to wear my rain coat’.
it’s about perception. thunder roar and lightning bolt. when i was studying kabbalah i learned about shifting how i traditionally look at things and seeing them from different angles. when you step outside your comfort level or normal behavior and look at things differently, you create open space for positivity in your life. you just gotta stay focused. you just gotta stay focused.
this is what my cup said today, so true.
the way i see it #297
When I was young I was mislead by flash cards
into believing that xylophones and
zebras were much more common.
that’s a good way to look at it
everything moves so fast in my day. in my life really. days seem like weeks and before i know it its a new month in the year. i get to work and work hard and that makes time go fast. i type short messages to my friends and followers in 140 characters. i do this in twitter and in email now too. my thought flow fast. i fell in love with 12seconds.tv as you now and it seems like making a video or something to post about happens so fast that i need to slow down to think about what to write about on my blog. i’ll never run out of thoughts. while i think about what to write about i send a few tweets and think about things in 12 second increments. everything moves so fast. i’m going for a walk. i take my camera & netbook and think, that’s not slowing down at all.
the thing is. i may think and move really fast but i slowly capture moments in my day that make it awesome. it may only be 140 characters or 12seconds that changes your day. finding beauty in simple things, this is to have lived.
time flies when you’re having fun i guess ♥
i got a new thing
it’s 12secondstv and this is my channel. it’s so much fun.
