Fashion
Fashion events, shows, & style from around the world.
Attended five events last Thursday night – two fashion shows in the tents, Movember media launch, Buckler at F-Stop and GSUS at the Hoxton. It was a workout. Lucky for us they were all close together. Living downtown is essential to making the most appearances in a short time. This is Sport Partying 🙂 Check this out – found three of a kind! We were certain a model farted. Pointing & laughing made the situation a WHOLE lot better. Kate snapped all these photos. She’s a darling. Me, always working. Yes, those are my real lashes 😉 Fritz (Fritz Helder) had the most rad Docs. Not avail at the Doc Martens store. He found them somewhere downtown but I will not reveal his secret! I love the simplicity of Buckler. The models were cute too. Check out Kate’s other photos on her flickr here.

Offsite shows during FW are my fav. Attended Greta Constantine SS 2012 last night. One thing I love about FW is seeing all the fashion faces together. Last night felt less snobby than usual. It was nice. Pix from Greta SS 2011 are in this post. You’ll recognize lots of peeps from that show/party. I had come from a string of meetings & wasn’t really dressed for the ocassion: boots & scarf vintage, jacket Holts, bag Nella Bella, dress H&M. This little one was my fav piece: Shoes Kirk & Stephen, so cute. On Team Olympus blog babe Jay Strut wearing a monkey fur jacket. Yes, MONKEY! Kirk & Gail April <3 Kat & a babe from Elmer. So many cute model boys. J’adore. I’m looking for someone to cover LGFW shows for me next week. If you are interested or already volunteering, LMK. Lots of meetings, events today. I’m gonna work harder than ever the next month so I REALLY enjoy my vacation. Have an awesome day!

Over the past year I’ve gotten to know Mark’s as they’ve been changing their brand and TBH, they’re way more stylish than I remember as a kid. Yesterday they had a fashion show and we couldn’t make it but we’re giving you a $50 gift card so you can check out their new Fall Lookbook. This time last year I went on a mega shopping spree before New Zealand Fashion Week and picked out all my favourite things. In other words, if you have been paying attention, winning this contest will be easy for you. Here’s how to win: Click here or the image below to see the lookbook & comment your pick. Good luck 🙂 I will send the gift card in the mail with a little note with hopes to make your day. Good luck!

I recently had a photoshoot early one morning in Kensington with some lovely bike enthusiast and former Mayor, Mr. Miller. We were decked out in tweed and vintage digs gearing up for the Toronto Tweed Ride October 16th in Toronto. (My brain is programmed to type Tweet not Tweed. Stop it CASIE!) The leisure ride starts at Trinity Bellwoods and raises money for Bikes without Borders‘ work in Africa. It’s also chance to ride in style. You know I love a good dress up! What is a Tweed Ride? Tweed Rides are a worldwide phenomenon, started in London in the fall of 2009 as “The Tweed Run London.” Promoted as a slower-paced “metropolitan ride with a bit style” they dressed up in tweeds, rode their bikes through London streets celebrating the bike and raising money for a good cause. Where do we meet? We will leave Trinity Bellwoods Park at 3pm, through the gates on Queen St. at the traffic light travelling east. There will be a loud bell (or something obvious like a trumpet/trombone) signalling the start of the ride. How do I join? To register for the 2011 Tweed Ride Toronto, visit the registration page. All funds raised will support Bikes Without Borders‘ work in Malawi, Africa. If you have any questions see the info site here or leave a comment. I’m better with questions like “What are you gonna wear? What am I going to wear?!”. I hope you will join us. Cheeriooooooo!
