Duck Hunt, Voting Day, Obama for the Win

Good morning, good morning, and how are you today? I say to myself in a singing voice, just like Mum used to as a kid. I’m wearing the Maison Filipi Duck Hunter Camo Bow Tie I was sent not too long ago.  Actually, it was in the summer but it’s flannel and more appropriate for today’s weather. After work I’m being interviewed by Cision about Movember. I had to look up my first post about Movember to remind myself how I learned about it. Every blog post is a note to ‘Future Me’. I won’t remember all the details of each day or event twenty years down the road, but I will remember the feeling I had when I read this again for the first time. Tonight I am going to clean my room and watch the election. Have I told you how much I love my job? Simple things like leaving the house  early, seeing the same people in the morning, dressing up in outfits, morning coffee, fresh air before starting the day, I appreciate everything so much more. I love the work I’m doing. I feel like I could not have planned this all better if I tried. I am incredibly excited for the next year. Sending my love and positive vibes to Obama-Biden today. I really hope he wins. I’ve ben blogging about him since 2008. HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!  And please, please if you are in the USA, VOTE! <3 CASIE

I saw this in ET last night and loved it. His name is Iman Crossman and he is known on YouTube as AlphaCat. He has a bunch of videos that are hilarious. His views are up in the millions and he is quite funny. You know I love darling Barry Obama and this guy is almost the next best thang yo!! It’s amazing the viral effect that something like this can have. He told ET that he has some ‘projects in the works’ and I say good for him. Watch the vid on youtube. With tomorrow being Obama’;s big day I was snooping around and found some interesting stuff. There are heaps of ‘Bye Bye Bush’ themed things buzzing around. I’ve seen a few that really were quite good. The winner is surely Ritual Spa on King West. They sent out the following clever promotion: In order to celebrate the inauguration of the new President of the United States of America, Barack Obama , Ritual is offering 20% off all Brazilian bikini waxes on inauguration day, Tuesday January 20th 2009. So say farewell fuzz, and bye bye Bush!! I send it to a friend and we had a good chuckle over it. Thought you might enjoy it also! I found a ‘Bye Bye Bush’ game here that was kinda fun to play for about 15 seconds. You get to throw your show at Bush. There is also a site counting down to inauguration day titled byebyebush.org. It’s ugly.

Aha!! Got you with that one. Has it gone to far with yet another ‘Obama’ product? The condoms say ‘use with good judgment’, as if he is happy to have you banging and reaching for a condom with his face on it. I wonder if the laytex itself has an Obama face on it? The Chicago Tribune published an article saying the ‘the amount of Obama-related goods for sale is unprecedented, historians say. No president has seen so many people sell so many things so shamelessly: collectors’ coins and plates, bath towels, bobbleheads and buttons just about anything that can have an image applied to it.’ I think it’s hilarious.

One day to go for the 56th US Election!! Go Obama!!

CNN is reporting the following for the US Election tomorrow (see image). What an exciting time! I hope and prey Obama wins. It will be a real shame for the US to have old fart McCain in office for the next term. It truly is time for change in the US. Their economy and state of the nation has become such a mess since Bush has been in office (including his investment in the war on Iraq, however, we won’t touch on that item!). I’ll be at a pub with friends watching the future of the US unfold!! Educate yourselves! I’m sharing some interesting facts I found here about the election & candidates: Either candidate would become the first president born outside the Continental United States, as Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and McCain was born at Coco Solo, Panama Canal Zone, a US naval base. This 2008 election will mark the first time since the election of John F. Kennedy in 1960 that a sitting Senator will be elected President of the United States. The new president elected in 2008 will be the first president in 184 years to take office after multiple consecutive two-term presidential administration (Bush & Clinton) McCain would be the oldest U.S. president upon ascension to the presidency at age 72 years Barack Obama and John McCain are 24 years and 340 days apart in age. The 2008 election marks the first time since the 1928 election in which neither an incumbent President nor an incumbent Vice President ran for their party’s nomination in the presidential election

Saw this on the news this morning and had a good laugh. Michelle Obama is the coolest First Lady EVER. I’m trying to remember my Mum doing these moves as a kid. I’m sure she had a few, the snaps. This will give you a good laugh. Enjoy! Was so nice to visit Mum this weekend. This is her, Jenie, Sean, and I back stage for The Sheepdogs concert at Echo Beach last summer. I was probably showing them something amazing on TEH INTERNET.  I’m getting so sick of winter. I want to ride my bike and play outside already! In other news, I cleaned James Dean, my lil’ 11″ Macbook Air last night using this program called Grand Perspective. It lets you creep inside your computer and see what taking up the most space. Somehow all kinds of my gmail.imap messages were saving on my unit and taking up HEAPS of space. I deleted them and now my computer is fast again. Get to know your data people! It’s gonne be stormy tonight. Hopefully this is the last hurrah before Spring comes. Have yourself an awesome day! <3 CASIE

I’m getting a new book case and today I curled up on the floor almost in childs pose, but reading old poetry books. I’ve been trying to read more, books I mean. I read words all the time. I read worlds of words. All the time. I found a library downstairs, didn’t know it was there. We stopped and looked at the books, I’ll get that one for you. I have some to exchange. I put my card in the back and a sticker on another. I love the book exchange, and that shine of inspiration you have.

About a month ago I got this jacket from Faded Soul online. I love it. It’s got a cool shape, nice front pockets, has a big hood, and fits like a poncho. I creeped online to learn it’s from European brand Napajuri. They have a really cute campaign with a couple travelling across Europe in the clothes. People get to vote on what they do on the journey. I want to BE IN this campaign. It’s so cute. She’s blonde too. I’ve been asked where I got it so I checked and there are still more!  The site is fadedsoul.com and you can find it here. Mine is a size small. I think there might be a fur hood to add from what I see in photos. Hat H&M, pants Yoga Jeans from ShopGirls, boots Sam Edelman, bag Nella Bella Faded Soul is a new Canadian internet store that is owned by a friend of a friend. They have heaps of stuff for guys and girls. They’re on Facebook and Twitter too. Brock ordered some sweet John Varvatos shoes and posted photos here. I was immediatley attracted to this other brand I’d never heard of called ‘Blondes make Better T-Shirts’. The shirts are, well, blonde and fun. I got the ‘Skinny’ and ‘Pull’. Tres cute. Last week I was sent this striped ballet shrug from Ch*arms. I wasn’t sure what was arriving but once opened the package I knew these were gonna come in handy.  I also got set of sleeves that velcro to your bra strap for under short sleeve shirts. I wish I thought of this! They retail for $28 and can be purchased online at ch-armz.com.
