borderline artistic strikes again

See these two babes (no not me) Chantelle & Alana! They know me longer than you or the internet! OMGCANYOUBELIEVEIT. Chantelle and I danced together when I was 3+ years old. Alana lived down my street and used to play with u. She also used give us her old clothes. It was AMAZING to hang out the other day. They both say HI MUM! Mum, please try & ring me tonight. I miss you heaps & have so much to tell you. If you see glitter like this somewhere, you know I was there. Borderline Artistic. Look at this sad sight. Swan on a pile of garbage down by the lake. Heart break. Weather has been so lovely the last couple days. Today is an exception, kinda chilly out there. MORE GLITTER. BORDERLINE ARTISTIC STRIKES AGAIN. We were chillin’ and all of a sudden CP24 Breaking was there to do a story. No, not on me. Two mins later SF News was there. That’s Sweden. There were there filming this tall glass of water, here he comes. Voila! He’s playing TFC on Saturday. Jonathan, do you know his name? Something like Stephen or Stephan Fry. Then I tried to ride this bad boy but my feet couldn’t really reach the pedals making it nearly impossible to ride. Chantelle is taller so she was fine. I have to go get ready for class now. That sounds funny. I’d love to teach a class. Would you take it if it was a Sat. or Sun. afternoon workshop? Maybe I’ll put some more thought into that idea. I love teaching and talking. Wanna book me to speak at your event/school/office/bbq/party? Book me here. P.S. I really love Bruno Mars. Like, srsly.

STEWART SPEAK.

This afternoon I’m heading back to Centennial College with my (digital) brother Andrew Stewart. We’re chatting a PR & Digital Media class about social media and our lives. I love this city! Andrew works at Strategic Objectives PR and is going to discuss social media from an agency perspective. He was the brains behind the NYE weekend in Montreal this past December. I’ll be speaking about how I built up a big following, grew my network and turned something I truly love into my job, living an exciting, positive life! I walk on glitter BTW. Reckon imma plank in the classroom. I bet they will think it’s funny. Maybe we can group plank? That would be way cool. Yeah I said ‘way cool’ dude. Ok ttys. Love you.

Mince meat w/ potato top are my most fav. I also like patio lunches. Got some jazz in the mail from China I ordered from Etsy. I freaking love Etsy now. I have a bad memory (reason I started this blog) so I forget things often. I didn’t know what was in the package before I opened it. Self gifting FTW. Keri got mail too. Look how happy. Tonight I have three events, Steamwhistle, Yelp, Molson Sublime. Excited to see friends. I love summer. Gah! LIFE’S A BEACH & THIS IS MY LIFE! BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

coming home, nothing quite like it mama.

Mmm, donut & coffee. What a trip. Getting to Florida isn’t that difficult. I’ve been blessed with great travel the last year so this time, when I encountered delay, after delay, I wasn’t too upset. (Except when I cried on the way there and missed a fancy dinner with my sister & friends.) This was leaving Florida, good sign I reckon, C8. My fav number is 8. Picked up Fast Company (mostly because of the Conan cover) and learned about these rad wooden surf boards. I love surfing. I love the ocean. I love summer. I love…affirmation girl? Bye bye beachy. Mama loves Miami. Home, wahhh. Get me off this thing… just kidding. Look, something shiny out the window. REMEMBER THIS. The reason I picked up Fast Company aside from Conan was this article “The 100 Most Creative People in Business”. I strive to be here one day. Jack Dorsey, (one of the Twitter Founders) is #4 on the list. He is a cool guy. Listened to a few of his talks. There’s a couple good ones on itunesU from Stanford. I totally love Conan. He is so funny, combine that with his divine creativity and you’ve got a whole lot of awesome. I reckon he’s a cool Dad. Does he have kiddios? Alex Kipman from Microsoft (brain behind Kinect) made the list too. I would LOVE a Kinect. So fun. I kick ass at the dancing game. Challenge me anytime! I was quite inspired to see a few companies I’ve worked with recently on the list. Christian Parks the Global Marketing Cheif @ Levis. Read my article about ‘Crafting Your Personal Brand‘ on Levis here. Tonight is the Pepsi Throwback Retro Tweetup. I’m pretty stoked to have about 200 friends & media together for a few hours. Got some…

PLANK GIRL.

Now remember kids: Safe Planking is FUNNY but Dangerous Planking is STUPID. Today is… Last night Keri & went PLANKING. It was really fun. Music Garden double plank. Wikipedia: Planking is the act of lying face down with arms to the sides of the body, in unusual public spaces and photographing it. Kinda dumb but oh so funny. Sorta like this… Tree plank. If everyone in the world would hold a one minute plank every day, we would be more fit & stronger and centered. This takes core strength guys. Hold it, steady. LEAN is SEXY. Planking, originated in Australia and was originally called The Lying Down Game “à plat ventre” (on one’s belly). Haha my shorts. Two cute boys w/ a boat took this for us. Planking is a great way to make friends. The Rules from Know Your Meme: More Public the Better. Larger the Group, the Better. No location is out of bound when playing the game. (Please be safe!) Palm of hands held against the sides, toes touching the ground. Amsterdam Brewery plank. This got us free beers. Plank you very much Tyler, ya babe. Our hair looks cute. Have you planked? Would love to see your skills. Gonna plank at South Beach this weekend. One of my fav’s is Apple Store planking on Tumbr. Get creative & please don’t kill yourself forpetessake! Plank ya later.

work that communicates with everyday people & socially relevant themes

Saw this painted over billboard near Spadina/Queen. I love the street art we have in this city. You can’t really tell but it says “Are you really an asshole or just insecure?” I tweeted a link to some new street art earlier but here’s some of the photos. So neat. Lego love. Pretty PBR flowers. Like this one too. See the rest of the pix & info on BlogTO. P.S. I made this (for Keri).

you read it in the newspaper, ask your girlfriends and see if they know

Had ice cream at Ed’s Real Scoop in the Beaches today. Chocolate & homemade. So good.  I useally go for chocolate, nothing to fancy or with accessories. Carly gave me the great suggestion. Y’know Carly? She’s my friend/agent/blondetourage blog babe who moved to Florida last year and she’s COMING BACK this week. Yay. Gonna go driving to this album tomorrow. So many good songs. I was creeping Jack White… Did you know he is Scottish, Polish and Canadian descent. He’s quite fascinating if you don’t already know. This was a funny comic to get today, right after a wedding and all. Cheryl & Jared  had cheesecake. It was good. Tonmorrow I’m checking out all the nerdy tech stuff  about this Ford Fusion.  Maybe a car wash too. I have the Fusion Sport, black leather interior, 2.5L.  Fun car to drive.  I really like cars. Grew up hanging in the garage with Dad.  He builds hot rods. Had his own shop in Cambridge when I was growing up, “Toys for Boys”. Saw this today and thougt of you Dad. The Beaches are so pretty. Reminds me of where I grew up. Old houses, tall trees, narrow streets, sidewalk stairs, front porch. If I had a car full time I reckon I could live in the East End. (OMG, did I just say that?)  Queen West hipsters move to the East End when they grow up right? haha Would be rad to build/reno an old house here.  Fantastzed about that today, my car, my house, my street. I see my house and so can you. Dude at Amsterdam said this building on left is going to be a Loblaws. Saw a super old pic & Loblaws has owned it since before any other this stuff was built. I need to change the…

Voter turnout in 2008 was lowest in Canadian History

I know you are really smart because you are here reading this. If you are in Canada you are even awesomer and today you have an election. You get to have a say in what happens in your country, our country. I don’t care who you vote for but please, PLEASE GO OUT AND VOTE.  It’s so important. I rounded up a few things from the internet and I hope they inspire you to go to your polling station and PUT AN X IN A BOX. There is much at stake in this election. Yet the biggest decision for many eligible voters is not whom to choose, but choosing to vote at all. …read more. “stop being such a hipster and go to the polls and vote” These videos were made by KIDS in highschool. They are voting. You know you are legally allowed to leave work & vote. I found out some info about my riding & canditates from Project Democracy. You can find your info there too. I live in the downtown hipster riding. Imagine all of us voted? Our votes make a difference dudes. I read a good article about the ongoing election tweeting debate on canada.com “You can’t stop the tweeting folks“. Maybe we will change a law tomorrow? Do they really think they can put a lid on the information that is being released on the Internet on election day while efforts by other governments to control information in their repressive regimes are proving to be so ineffective? It’s as fruitless as trying to hold your ground while a massive tsunami rushes towards you. If Elections Canada is truly serious about the necessity of concealing election results while some polls are still open, the only way to accomplish it is to keep all the results…
