Live Art Performance About Digital & Social Interaction?

I’m totally into it! This week on the SummerWorks blog I started my interview series with a few of the performers in the Live Art Series of the festival.   Summerworks Blog Post Details: Art, emotion, interaction, and a dose digital media? – Interview with Brial Lobel, his performance Purge is the one with deleting Facebook friends and stuff. Totally into it. I delete FB friends all the time.  Get to Know Erin Brubacher – Her performance is called  Nightcap. She collects hand-crank egg beaters and have lived & performed around the world. We are LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS for the Summerworks Festival August 9-19th. All the details are HERE if you are interested. Volunteering is an excellent way to get to know people, make friends, and gain experience. Plus, it’s super fun to be involved in cool things. If you are already volunteering, LMK so we can hang out! Happy Friday! I am safely in Boston and tomorrow I am going SKYDIVING for the very first time. Virgin. Omg. Not even scared. No really, I’m NOT SCARED AT ALL.

Editorial Correspondent, SummerWorks Festival 2012

Since I switched to iPhone my camera has been collecting dust, but that is no longer the case! THE CASE! That’s me! Haha, ok…. Quite loving the new PEN Mini I recieved last week from Olympus. Edited the colours on this one using Picasa from Google. August 9-19th is SummerWorks, Toronto’s Indie Theatre & Arts Festival. I’m an Editorial Correspondent and will be blogging my top picks and festival experience on the SummerWorks blog. Last week I attended the SummerWorks VIP Summer Soiree and I *think you might see me in the society section of the Globe & Mail this weekend.  It was a great dinner at the Great Hall on Queen West. Same place as Art Battle! Check out my first blog post on the SummerWorks blog by clicking here or this wonderful GIF of my little face. Did you know I have done some theatre? I absolutely love the stage and live performances. In other NEWS, check out Lozzie on CBC yesterday. LOVE YOU! Protect your computers errrrr’body.  Cue the sun!

Join me for dinner tomorrow night? @Summerworks Soireé!

Next month from August 9-19th is SummerWorks Festival which features Canadian music including Buck 65 & Hawksley Workman and an array of performances picked by a jury.  I’ll be blogging a bunch of festival things, doing some interviews, and attending all kinds of stuff. Did you know what I love theatre. I was in the Sears Festival, played a hot box girl in Guys & Dolls, and did a few plays in high school. I love the stage, what can I say? Tomorrow night is the Summer Soireé and I would love to see you there.  Dinner is hosted by award-winning playwright and actor, Michael Healey and takes place at the Great Hall. Purchase a ticket here. It’s an elegant three-course meal prepared by chefs Mark Cutrara + Alexandra Feswick (who are on the cusp of opening their new Samuel J Moore Restaurant on the main floor of the Great Hall). Apps and cocktails will be served at 6:00pm and the meal at 7:00. Semi-formal attire. Let me know if you’ll be there. Love to see some familiar faces & meet some new ones 🙂  Follow @summerworks   * Photos shot with my brand new Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 that arrived Monday! Weeeeee!
