Don’t Just Live Each Day, Live it Out Hard

All I packed/need for seven full days fits into my Rimowa super light suitcase & Nella Bella Melbourne bag. Key to the perfect travel outfit for me is layering. Today I wore a little black cotton dress w/ sheer long skirt, cardigan, tights, heels & a hat. I could feel the warm air when we landed so I ditched the cardigan and tights before I left the plane. Found my suitcase in the airplane magazine! I promise I’m not a diva. Haha! The place I’m staying is a Mexican Melrose Place! First meal was tacos as a place called Kool Fish. Shrimp, yum! Went for a stroll around town. Pretty quiet. However, it IS Monday. Think it gets a little wilder come weekend. Made plans to party it up on Saturday. Had THE BEST Mayan chocolate ice cream. This photos is for Mum because she was all like “don’t drink the water”. Look Ma, all is gonna be just fine. Ate about 100 of these just now. The Pistachios that is. Gonna do the Insanity workout in the AM with the crew at casa Thynk Taynk in the AM then do some work and hit the beach. See y’all tomorrow.

pardon me while I burst into flames. seriously.

Mega swoonfest took place last night. I didn’t even take photos of myself or Sammy. ALL BRANDON. He is so good. Great voice, tall skinny, long hair, rocker, tattoos. I’ve been a band fan since high school and last night was my first time seeing them live. This is Incubus pr0n. #swoon We were super close. Thank you to my friend Brandon in LA who manages the Incubus Foundation makeyourselffoundation.org for hooking us up with tickets. They put on a really great show. We had a blast. Shirt open… Shirt OFF. So good. His voice, so good. Ripped. The video was really well done.

always have a dream that is longer than a lifetime

Thought of you when I saw this Mum. Orange hearts painted outside Roy Thompson Hall. Orange tie. Mel. Everyone was ringing their bike bells for Jack. I Rang mine heaps too. I love how he inspired positivity in so many people. Has anyone in Canada had an impact like this before? I loved the old photos and seeing things people made for him. Few cans of orange crush too. Drum practice at N.P.Square. Huge clap when his daughter talked about his fashion sense in the early years. The funeral was beautiful. Music, singing, kind words. You were awesome Jack Layton. Your spirit will live on in me and so many people. Your funeral was touching. (I balled my eyes out to be honest.) Biked all over with Keri looking at the chalk and reading messages people wrote you. Everyone clapped and sang at your funeral. Tears, smiles and lots of love. You made the world a better place. I will do my best too. Thank you ♥ * title is a Jack quote 🙂 [View the story “Jack Layton Funeral” on Storify]

Gladstone Tweetgasm August 2011: Brock + Sockhop

This month’s Tweetgams was Monday night The Gladstone  hosted by the lovely Brock McLaughlin. Doesn’t he look like James Dean. Swoon. Tweetgasm is fun. I’m going to host one in October. Stay tuned for that. Boogie down baby. I went for 60’s Twiggy mod. Auditioned for a ghosty show today with Lauren O’Nizzle. It was fun. I hope they pick us. There were some nice outfits. I’m going to have a theme for my Tweetgasm too. Idea submissions encouraged. THE END.
