Feeling pretty inspired today. Found some writing from a few years back in my room last night. post-its, random papers, notebooks. Always makes me happy to find that stuff cause I can’t remember writing it and it’s like reading it for the first time. I’m stil lin the process of rounding things up to make a book of awesome. Sending out a couple invoices today also which is also a positive feeling. Before bed each night or when I wake up in the morning I set a couple goals for myself, I like to make lists. I find that setting small goals on the daily brings me closer to things I want to achieve in the long run. What are you goaling for today? View PostWas frantic yesterday running around looking for something to wear in Dallas that is ‘Western inspired’. Have no fear, the tickle trunk I like to call my closet room is chalk full of theatricical outfits. Jeans hanging up there are my Shop Girls Yoga Yeans, only jeans I’ve worn since I got them. Really comfy and slimming, this all coming from someone who does not like wearing pants so, I mean serious. Keri also came through with a rodeo shirt that will be perfect. I knew exactly what I was looking for and it was surely not this. Well, in some variation but not together… Before shopping I stopped by to see the lovely Tarek at Nella Bella and look what I got… BTW took the nose ring hoop out (Mum :)) so Dallas and customs don’t think I’m a punk. Shaved head/mohawk style looks kinda punky but the blonde hair is distracting, so… I try to take the safest route and go for cuteness when I visit to the airport. I feel like thatis somehting @barbiestyle (aka Barbie) would say. Haha. I wonder if I will see that one customs guy again? Whoa, tangent. Back to this this lovely HUGE bag, he said I needed this colour for LA. SO true. Thank you! I picked up a couple others that will come out during my travels. One is the famed Nella Bella London bag in red. The small part holds my passport and essentials and the big part fits my iPad (Andy) and netbook (Robert) in it perfectly. The big yellow guy is so handsome. If you ever wonder the white rabbit furry guy is from Ruby Boutique in New Zealand. Ok, flight time. Catch ya on the flip side AKA, in the air on Virgin America!

View PostI tried to pull myself away from the computer, thinking I need a damn break. I was feeling all meh. I played Sims Miami party on Nintendo DS in bed, attempted to sketch book, played with phone, paced around, tried not to snack. I found myself back at the computer again and again and that’s where I started putting out good vibes. Do you know what happened next? THEY CAME BACK. A whole slew of good stuff happened today and it flipped my shit mood right on it’s damn stupid head. THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS PEOPLE. Like attracts like. I am so happy right now everytime I get nervous that ‘maybe I can’t do it’ or ‘how the heck is this gonna work’ I remind myself that I can and I will. I finally have the freedom to work on exactly what projects I want, with whom and when. I have dreamed of this and I will not let you down, I will not let me ME down. I close my eyes, cover them with my hands and repeat “this is my life, this is my life“. I got VIP tickets to Metric tonight outta the blue from my gonna-meet-tonight-first-time-new-friend from my home town. Oh internet, I love you so. I love this song too. Playin’ on repeat.
View PostIt is safe to say that I am currently having the time of my life. After spending the day with Carly at the Agency I flew to The Pilot to meet Miranda & David. We had a blast. The rain came in wee spirts and I managed to keep dry yet very hydrated. I also touched iphone 4 for the first time. Feels so delicate. The boy behind me is Jean Luc from Kijiji. The Pilot is an interesting place. Everytime I go there I meet the most interesting peeps. I was hanging out with Ebay, PayPal and one of the SAW writers Leigh Wannell . Today I have an audition for a commercial as a ‘Kiwi girl’ and a patio meeting about 4ish. Later on I’m attending a screening with of Dinner for Schmucks with Michael before Loser Karaoke. Sunday I’m on the very first episode of the Social Media Show (SMS) podcast with Karam Kanji the Community Manager for TechVibes. I will keep you updated, show is at 3pm. Have an AWESOME day. Go do something great, this is the only July 29th 2010 that will ever exist, make it memorable. I’m up early to make heaps of awesome. Blog ya later 😉
