I used to live and hang out in Queen West. The Hipsterville of Toronto. I met lots of hipsters from all over the globe, saw heaps of style and had hipster friends. We’d stay up late at secret hangouts with cool people, bands and models. I was skinny from partying/sleeping and I stayed out late on school nights. Hipsters often wear American Apparel and may be seen reading carrying Vice Magazine. I started reading Vice in Bondi Beach, 2004. I loved it. Bondi had the best style, boy or girl, they all had it. In 2005 American Apparel hired Lauren Phoenix to model tube socks and underwear. I remember getting that issue, she was on the back. It said “Meet Lauren Phoenix…….Look her up on Google. I wanted to know how she got her photo on a magazine and why to Google her. So I Googled and I’ve loved AA & Vice advertising ever since!! Not just because she’s a Toronto born Canadian pornographic actress who you may have seen in adult movies on https://www.hdpornvideo.xxx/?hl=ar, but because AA has made their socks really popular since then. I’m wearing over the knees right now. Creative marketing. I like it. They sponsor hipster bloggers now…like this babe Karla. Very nice idea. Sponsoring bloggers is a good idea for your brand. Find someone who fits your style and pitch them something. I reckon you’re more than bound to get your monies worth.

Made me think of Fall and a photo from the summer by kellykruschel in Liberty Village. Bids flying, warm, sun on my face, it was beautiful that day. Monday will be beautiful too, it will be day 4: 04012010, the numbers look nice.

View PostI can hardly believe this is my life… Last night at the Notable TV Schmooze I got a new phone, again. Boooyah! This is my THIRD phone this year – Koodo, Rogers, Bell. Thankyouverymuch. Is that Telus calling? Cause I still wanna try an iphone y’know. Lessons learned: 1) You don’t ask you don’t get. 2) If you ever have any doubt that you can achieve if you believe, don’t ! 3) Think positive, live positive & positive things will happen to you. I won a Samsung I7500, with the Google Android OS. I was happy to see a Christmas Tree standing in the window of the bank on my way to work this morning. I’m not really a big Christmas-loving-person but I really love giving. For the holidays, a bunch of us behind #GenyTO have launched a campaign called Heart for Holidays. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for Hospice of Canada. Our donation does directly to families affected by terminal illness and give them food and gifts to be able to enjoy what might be the last holiday season they share together. View PostI woke up in a great mood. It’s good day I can feel it. Had a nice brekky at Roastery with Jeff, they have the best music. Soon as I got to the office I re-played I love the Nightlife on my Blip Station for my Twitter peeps to enjoy. It was perfect the perfect tune to dive into work with enthusiasm. I’ve got two new penpals and am expecting mail. They’re both in the GTA so if you live far and wanna be my penpal, leave a comment and we’ll chat about it. View PostA couple years ago I got my first taste of a Cirque show at Fashion Cares in Toronto. I was amazed by the high flying action of the performance as they twisted and turned in long silk ropes above our tables and later on stage. My first thought, I wanna be suspended like that and wrapped in silk. I’ve not seen a full live show here but I would like to. I’m amazed by the balancing and contortionists. I used to be able to put my feet behind my head in some bendy ways but I pretty much stop at the splits now! There’s a new Cirque show called Banana Shpeel, A New Twist on Vaudeville. It’s a comedy and seems like it will be right up my (and your) alley, down to the leading little blonde saucy lady. She’s adorable and ind full of sass. I didn’t see a plan for when it comes to TO yet but I will keep and eye out for us. It’s playing soon in New York and Chicago, so if you can, go see it and tell me all about it! More info here.
View PostI’m proud to announce, I have Google Wave invites. I love Google and I’ve said it before. I think Google is a company that understands how humans communicate and interact and they are consistent in their efforts to make it easier for us. Also, Google stuff is very affordable so that everyone can participate making it something adopted by pretty much everyone online. I’m not exactly how it happened but I imagine it’s related to my natural socialness and all the other stuff I do involving the internet. I announced it on Twitter and now I’ve got a bunch of people requesting and I’m not sure who to give away the last few to? I have a contest open right now to and all you have to do is tell me what you love…you can enter it here.
