We’re also from the same hometown. This is Fouj, she’s the greatness behind the Social Media for LGFW and the blog of it all (aka the good stuff). She’s a hot babe with great style AND she’s super smart/good at social media. I always find the babes. If you’re at Fashion Week, find her and she’ll snap your outfit photo! Barbie is up later and I scored an extra pass so I can bring Sabrina. She’s my roommate but also my very own Barbie. I play with her hair, do her makeup and sometimes make outfits for her. ![over forty years of family fashion]()
My shirt, it was Mums. She just told me that she got it when she was 15 in New Zealand it it cost her $15. She used to make $2 and hour back then but she just HAD to have it. She charged it to her Mum’s account (Nana) and had to pay it off over time. I LOVE when Mum tells me stories of her clothes. When she moved to Canada she kept her clothes, Jenie & I wear most of them now. She had/has great style, my Mum. Probably one of the reason I have so many clothes, mine all tell a story too. I love them, hell, I’ve been sleeping with them for the past week (half my bed is a pile of clothes right now!). Heading back to fashion Week this afternoon for my last day. I’ve been waiting for Barbie by David Dixon and TONIGHT is the night. Not sure about partying after…really proud of myself that I’ve not woken up hung over or attended any crazy late night fashion partied. It makes a difference when you actually have to work, ah, I remember so many years of just attending parties. I posted a couple things on my OH CASIE blog and there’s a heap of Twitpics too. It’s beautiful outside today, enjoy it. I’ve got heaps of footage from the F/W 2010 collections I saw this week, will try to get it all up this weekend. Happy Thursday/Friday!

Last year, about this time, I wrote about Givenchy Play, it was brand new and no one had it yet. Last night at the Buckler show/party for LGFW I got a mini size in my giftbag and I really hope more dudes start wearing it. Buckler link goes to the FB page, their site plays music when you click on it and I hate linking to sites like that. Great style for men though, I recommend checking it out. It’s made for a man but it smells oh so good, I’ve had it in my own rotation. I rewarded Ryan, one of our interns at work with a Play giftset recently. He’s starting out in the music industry and I’m happy to help smell extra good. Keep up the good work & enjoy it RYAN!! You can get yours at The Bay if you wanna smell really good too. I was sitting waaay up high with the press peeps and not paying attention to the game. First goal happened, not for the Leafs. I was not surprised. It also doesn’t matter to me, I pick the Leafs as my team cause Toronto’s my city and I hardly ever watch hockey outside the Olympics anyways. I l0ve the Kiss Cam (when camera goes on you, kiss person beside you) and Luke’s Troops (camera goes on Troops & tells story) the most. I also love the hockey hair and guys/girls in jerseys, Canadian celebs and people in suits. Saw Walter Gretzky, Eugene Levy and a couple Mountie’s too. It’s a sight to be scene, it’s awesome. Sports games are a social experience for me, out of my comfort zone, but yet I’m so easily comfortable. People watching never goes outta style. I could hear the announcers voice behind me as I sat there listening to his voice on the loud speaker. It was amusing, I liked it. Changed this post (originally posted Tuesday night at about 8pm) to present tense when I got home. I’ve got a busy Wednesday ahead of me. Another event tonight. Excited for Twestival tomorrow & the 3d TV Samsung launch. Next week is Fashion Week. OMG. Seriously, March MADNESS. I need to sleep all weekend if I’m going to make it. Tweeted some non-hockey banter and Twitpix last night. Elsa can’t work next week. I need to fill her Intern position.

Yesterday’s magazine party at MTV was great. Both my bosses were happy (phew!) and I got positive comments from so many people. via Twitter & email. Helps to get positive feedback cause, lemme tell you, I was so nervous and excited about the whole thing. It was really wonderful to see all these awesome people/bloggers in a room together. The dresses from Peach Berserk were a hit. I’ll get to posting more about it tonight but at the moment very busy! In the mean time you can check out these great post about it! I watch more then I listen, but I dig the Gossip Girl style. Always dressed up, classy. I started K.C’s book today. Gonna read a little more before bed. I’m about twenty pages and into it. Her attitude is totally refreshing. She doesn’t put up with whiny, negative, bitchy, complainers, and she knows what she’s doing because she worked at it. I find her to be quite admirable and I’m looking forward to seeing her IRL. I read more books in the summer, winter is online time. I like to bike somewhere with my book and lay under a tree, on a park bench in the sun. Did you know Kelly Cutrone used to read tarot cards AND married Andy Warhol’s protégé, Ronnie Cutrone at 21? She has worked with the best fashion designers and heaps of interesting creative peeps. I love this photo. I’m not sure the artist but I wish it was me. I’m polishing off the guestlist fro our FORA sneak peek tomorrow. I’m stoked. Kelly tweeted back to me @mtvcanada saying she’s might wear all pink instead of black. She always wears black. Exciting. I dreamed of fashion, magazines, and my job last night. It was great. Woke up early, put on The City and made a plan to go buy Kelly’s book “If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You”. I remember I had a ‘hard ass’ boss once. It was my first job out of university, I had always wanted to work in Toronto fashion. My boss, she was fierce. Everyone knew not to piss her off. She was strict and opinionated. I leaned a lot from her. Mostly I learned the hard way, by doing things wrong and having her yell at me. That was often preceded by me wiping tears in the bathroom and going back to my desk. It was that job that motivated me to work hard to get out of it. Now that I don’t work for her anymore, I’ve grown to love her. I thought that working in fashion would make me so happy but really, you can always be fashionable you should do a job you love. Ok work time. Gonna start the book after I get it tonight, looking forward to sharing it. Longer days today too, yahooo! Watch this vid, it’s lovely. I wanna wear all the dresses in the store. I love walking to work. It makes me so happy. By the time I arrive, I’ve already had fresh air and seen things I feel like writing about. I could write all day…take photos. One day I will. Harajuku babes tomorrow and serious blog work this weekend. I often pass a red carpet on my way to work. Girls on bikes. Big towers for festivals, star gazing, looking across the water. I like when the sun shines on my face. Last year I worked in Liberty Village in the West end and now I’m Central in the District of Entertainment and couldn’t be happier. This is where I should be. I really wanted it. I’m stoked about attending Fashion Week for actual shows this year, not parties. Ready for the weekend too. New pillow is making for way better sleeps. Feeling good. Feeling the spring fever. It’s lovely walking to work in the brightness. Great way to start the day. Ramping up stuff for the magazine at work. Toronto Blog Girl stuff is picking up speed. My Harajuku Girls are coming by Friday learn about blogging. What they don’t know yet is that I’m putting them to WORK. Fairy Blog Mother. Today I am wearing a dress from Shop My Clothes that’s by a Japanese designer. I love the print heaps, very springy. It was really long so I chopped it and used the excess fabric to make a circle scarf. Black Betsy Johnson tights from Winners. Gold boots were black leather from Vintage 69. I spray painted them gold. Andy Warhol used to do that. Trench, cardigan, & heart locket are from H&M. Bag was a gift Calvin Klein. THANKS! I’m a judge in this FAB contest from Peach Beserk. It’s only open to elementary, high school and college/university students but the prizes are AWESOME. So if you can enter, DO IT. Clothes make the man. Alex and Sabrina went to a Prom Party last night. Love PROM. There was no real prom, it was just the party. So fun! She came to me in the morning looking for something jazzy to wear. As her stylist, I knew this would be no PROM-lem. Alex was wearing her original prom dress so I knew Sabrina needed to look like a beaut. Styled her up and took her photo. But now we’re not. We’re still a good fit but we’ve given each other some room. It stayed the same, I got a smaller. One of my vintage fav’s. I’ve been babysitting it for Natalie for years, it didn’t fit her at the time but she couldn’t bear to part with, so I’ve been taking good care of it. Really good care by taking it out and dancing with it and showing it off on the internet. hehe BTW speaking of style, calling BLOGGERS who like fashion for an @mtvcanada event or two. I can’t tell you just what it is yet but GOOD. I’m excited (gonna blog it too), stoked to be able to invite cool peeps like YOU. If you’re interested send me/comment with your blog & email addy! I love tumblr. There, I said it. I spend hours each week scanning pages of pretty girls with beautiful style. Dreaming of new clothes draped on my body while endlessly scrolling wordboners. New find on Tumblr last night….hellooooooooooo, j’adore so hard. Blog called P.S. I Made This makes me say “P.S love you”. Perfect for stylish girls on a budget or those of us who like to add our own creative flare to an outfit.

I’m a hoarder. A clothes lover of sorts, heaps and piles of them constantly fill my room closet/floor/bed. It’s overwhelming to think about putting them away. I know this may seem trivial to some but too bad, it’s my thing, always has been, always will be. I love clothes and shoes..and accessories. Recently got these amazing white skinny jeans from Jonny who runs Shop My Clothes. He’s a friend, a blogger and one of my contributors to the MTV magazine I told you about a while back. (BTW FORA comes out later this month. Stay tuned!) I saw some great style on there today: Christian Louboutin’s ($160 size 8), DVF jacket – 3/4 sleeves/tuxedo collar ($75). It’s in Canada/USA and you can post FOR FREE. HAZAA! His site’s been growing fast so I figured it was about time I shared it. I also figure the only way I’m going to be able to justify getting anything new is to clean out some of my nice things and post them on Shopmyclothes.com. I’m sure they would rather be on a warm body than permanently hanging in closet darkness. I just need to clean up the clothes, that’s the hard part. I keep avoiding it. I need a cleaning lady, I’m cleaning lazy.
