ahoy matey, this ship’s a sailin’

I was really excited to get it and now that’s it’s done, I’m so happy. I was super picky and we put the stencil on three times before I was ready to go. I knew exactly what I wanted and when you know, you just know and since you’re gonna have it forever, you better get it right. It was done by Stephen Shaw aka @illustratelife and yes, it hurt. I was nervous and excited, my favorite feeling ever. The part near your elbow is so sensitive, so is getting inked on any part that covers a bone.  My last couple were done by Robb Coutts at Bobby Five, he’s amazing but getting in there is near impossible these days. People always ask “is there like, some meaning behind it?” DUH! Of course, like I’d do something just for no reason. All my tattoos are some type of reminder about something special in my life, as well as pretty decorations. I don’t feel like pouring my heart out about why I got each one but feel free to ask me IRL, I’ll tell you. I can’t imagine just walking into a shop, unplanned and getting some random thing off the wall, I gotta think my stuff out. What am I gonna do next? Hmm… just kidding MUM! haha. Ok, bye for now!

things on my desk and in it [old job]

Keep thisa baby around the house “that was easy” sister and me at a rock show music + flyer for band at mitzi’s sister OK, I’m going to tell you exactly what happened. [emily] I fell in love, I fell in love with my daughters boyfriend. [sobs] I’m watching Something’s Gotta Give and just laughed my ass off at her typing out her love story, crying hysterically. She’s so funny, Dianne Keaton. She’s  a writer in this one and she writes the best story into a play.  I’m thinking about writing a script… Well, I’ve been writing it in my head my whole life! HA! She writes a play about her love story in the movie. I’ve been in a couple plays. This one guy I went to school with wrote a play for Sears Fest called, What Wasn’t Said. I was in Guys and Dolls and a few other things before high school. All the worlds a stage, it is. I loved being on stage growing up. I was looking for a quote from this movie but couldn’t find it, so I read the script online. I had read ahead and then it just came, weird reading the script then hearing it. “A Woman to Love” her play was called, he said that’s what she was. I think I’m gonna wear my glasses more often. The old office was a big loft space. I used to take lots of photos there. One day I took like a hundred of things around my desk. I had heaps of crap around there.

tgif: you can do it put your rack into it

Twestival & Samsung parties were both fun. We raised over $20,000 for Concern Worldwide in Toronto alone.  I wasn’t sure about the 3D TV but seriously, that shit is amazing.  Feeling tired today, been a long week. This March is madness, so many events, so little time, so much to write about.  Gah, feeling a little overwhelmed.  Naptime when I get home. Gotta make a sched for LG Fashion week.   Looking forward to the Y&R at 4:30, shit be gettin’ CRA-ZAY. Hope your day is good. Sun is shining and despite feeling a bit drained, I’m happy. TTYL xo

i’ll be your sunshine when skies are grey

Popped over to see Darren this morning and got a little grey-ness put into my hair. It’s on the runways this season and I really wanted to have it done before fashion week. Tonight is Twestival and I’m super excited to be surrounded by everyone tonight. Tickets are almost SOLD OUT. If you want one get it here. There’s over 400 people already attending. I’m giving away two tickets on @mtvcanada‘s Twitter today, we’ve had SO MANY RT’s! It’s awesome. Before I hit up the big part I’m stopping by Notable TV‘s launch of the brand new Samsung 3D TV with Sabrina. Booya. Stoked to see this in baby action. Ok, that’s all for now! Have an awesome day! sometimes you’re up & sometimes you’re just average

Hello Monday, Nice to see you again. Not a “case” of you today more like a sort of “amazing case” fills the air around me and makes me feel sunny between all these clouds and raindrops. [Case of the Monday’s Mum, it’s from Office Space, a movie] My stylist came over last night and after the hot tub time machine, lectured me that I NEED to make time to get my hair done.  I desperately need to go in, but seriously, have not  had the time. [Sorry!] I’m going to have to zip over there during the day for an hour this week. Fashion Week is coming and I’ve been invited to a bunch of shows this year including……..BARBIE!  I’ve had a bunch of interview requests recently too,  so like, seriiiiiiously need ma hair did. The WORST is having your photo documented in history…[dun dun dun] with BAD HAIR. [Talk about first world problems….haha] Made an appointment for my new tattoo yesterday. Right forearm, hot. The guy who is doing my tattoo looks kinda like this babe  I tumbled across last night.  I never blog about boys, and rarely post  photos of them, it’s better that way. Random thought….I have this terrible fear of one day, losing my memory, the only thing I will have to remember is this blog and that is how I will know who my friends are, events, people who matter and those I love. I guess that drives me. I remember when I was little my Mum [wisdom queen] saying “there’s something special about you Casie” and I believed her. Feeling cold and like snuggling up in my bed. Had a pho for lunch which made me warm but extra tired. Woke up super early to Sabrina’s alarm at 5ish AM and couldn’t for the…

flock of eagles

It really does not matter what you have, what you had, want, or what you own. You are whoever you want to be. How you perceive yourself has the biggest impact on how others perceive you, this is my belief and something I live. It was my dear mum that ingrained in me, “just because you don’t have money, doesn’t mean you can’t compete, you just have to be more creative”. Luckily for myself, I’ve always been rich in that department. The book in this post is one that I really, truly love and admire. It is written by Paul Arden one of the world’s top advertising guys who comes from a great career with Saatchi & Saatchi. This is not merely a ‘book‘, this is a bible for the creative, those driven to succeed who couldn’t even ever imagine what it’s like to ‘think inside the box‘. It has taught me tools to succeed in the world, to dream the unimaginable, to break the rules, and make my own path, leaving trails for others to follow. This book is about stretching the mind and thinking about where you want to be in the world. Do you want to be well known? The best in your field? Your country? Best in the world? Or best in the universe? You decide. I know where I want to be. Posted on September 26, 2008 Can’t Fly with the Eagles if You’re with the Seaguls – Mum
