there’s nothing worse than being ordinary

I’m watching American Beauty…for the second time today. I love this movie. It’s creepy and yet I find the story so captivating that when it came on again, I didn’t change the channel. It’s brilliant. I have two favorite parts beside the girls dance with the roses and the music.  I like when Angela says “OMG, you like totally love him, you wanna have like a million of his babies”. Later, Jane says  “Well, I guess I’m not a very nice girl than am I”, I like that part.  Had the sketch book out. Drew a unique interpretation of the creepy video camera guys room. The room with all the videos and the white walls.  He’s weird and I like him. Cooked up some chicken soup from scratch yesterday. You’d be proud Mum, turned out great. It was spinning in this photo.  I love cooking and baking.  Haven’t been in the kitchen much lately, should do something about that really. Now & Then just came on, reminds me of grade 8 and Lisa Baker. Stunningly beautiful video of Niagara Falls in motion, all time lapse photos. Very cool.

yep, watching from the window

It’s one of those good days. Sitting with the girls watching reruns of Sex and the City on DVD. The four of them are so comforting, like home made chicken soup. Made some of that yesterday afternoon, dinner tonight.  I’m watching Season Two, Miranda is not at her hottest and Carrie still smokes. She just started therapy.  Every time I tell Dad I’m watching SATC he asks ‘out which window?’. He’s really funny, my Dad.   Had a nice dinner at the Gladstone last night. Deep fried Brie, amazing. Saw fireworks in the sky from Queen West over the lake. They were at Ontario Place but i’m not sure why, July 4th maybe?  This guy was wearing a headset and on the front he had a sign that said cheap and on the back easy. Unique characters on Ossington in the night. It’s lovely outside and I’m gonna enjoy it. I love lazy Sunday. My sister and friends are on their way for pool party. Hangout out with Jenie is the best, she makes me the most happy.

something about girls on bikes

I get on my bike and go for a hike I ride through the streets, push pedals with feet. The wind in my hair, sun on skin fair, these’s something magic about it. I love.

it felt like a movie

I’ve  always wanted to go, since I was little. I remmeber watching old movies with the girls serving on rollerskates and the classic cars lined up in rows. Finally happened last night… I wore an vintage dress and brought a cardigan, felt kinda schooley. We were the only ones in an old car, 1960 Desoto, baby blue. We sat in the back, there’s no seatbelts and it’s like a couch back there. It was perfect. You’re not supposed to bring alcohol but everyone does. It would probably help if they had the bar open, they didn’t. You tune into the radio station as the movie starts to play. It felt like a movie. I watched Transformers, didn’t like it. That Fox is mighty sexy though.  The drive-in is at Polson Pier and they play two movies each night. It’s open on weekends and you can take a whole car load of people on Sunday’s for only $25. That’s a pretty good deal.
