if google was my boyfriend

I forgot something I said to Keri last night when we were hanging  out so I Tweeted her to remember. I had a three-way on Skype with Bob in Atlanta and Ellen in Boston, then Keri joined in from my place. I miss the famous Mayor of Twitter so I Google Waved him hello. Sabrina’s letting me pick out my Christmas present so I shop online and send it to her over MSN. I also don’t know if I’ve won the Build a Bash party yet so I obsessively Tweet at them and upload Twitpics of me visiting their site. I send photos to Posterous that update to a Facebook album and then post to Twitter. Oh the love is going round and round… This morning we were chatting about Google being a good boyfriend… Pros of Google BF Very open communication Easily connected to each other – in sync We won’t can’t hide anything from each other Her puts out alot He knows what I like Keeps track of all the blogs I like in a Reader for me Makes my photos pretty and appeals to my artistic side with Picasa makes it easy to subscribe to my life He makes money for me and him He’s got lots of room for me to grow and store stuff online Manages groups well – open relationship? we have hundreds of mc donalds toys

Things are a little different in the East end. They move at a different pace then the West. The people look different. More dogs, wives, kids, lawns, antique shops, less hipsters. I’ve never seen a house like this before. It’s in the East end at Queen and Bertmount Ave on Bertmount, about a block North of Queen. Necessary pull over for photos. I’ve been trying to think up stories all day about the people that live here. The lady that put all these guys up. How long? What does she look like? Her name is Shirley. She won best small garden from the city one year. Best garden. Yes, best GARDEN! Look at this baby and say ‘best small garden’ out loud. There are so many random and tattered toys all over. It’s crazy. We collected Mc Donald’s Happy Meal toys. Mum has hundreds of them in the basement. Boxed. Original packaging. Barbies, Beanie Babies, Playmobile, Lego, Batman, Disney stuff and more. Somebody needs a thingamabob? So creepy. Tahnee keeps freaking out every time she looks at my screen. She said at Christmas Shirley decks the place out in lights. I can’t even imagine. Ok, I can but I don’t want to. These are most definitely different to the type of kids toys you see on Youtube. Quite frankly, I think a child looking at these toys too long would need to go to therapy. Today was as the kind of hot I love when it’s sticky and your skin stays soft all day. I took a watermelon to a bbq in the afternoon. Love summer melons. Thanks for having me guys! Browsed a book at their place with some valuable lessons in it. This was a cute one.

he called it a ‘blog day afternoon’

This is my Dad with Jenie & Me. It’s in our backyard at the house I grew up in.  Mum still lives there and I love going home and sitting in my old room. I chuckle each time I see a picture of me as  kid because I make all the same little faces. The cute ones, the cheeky ones, the sad ones and all the other silly ones. Mum says I used to sit in front of the mirror for hours and chat to myself or practice making faces. Shocking, lol. Was chatting a friend on MSN and he came up with some pretty good material. twenty says: blog tied! blog jam! fucking the blog. in blog we trust? john carpenter’s    the blog? blog day afternoon.casie says:haha yeah casie says:keep going this is good material twenty says: egg blog at Christmas? casie says: you are awesome casie says: keep it up twenty says: im tited twenty says: tired twenty says: lol casie says: haha twenty says: i will give u material when u need it twenty says: u dont need it twenty says: it’s a blogs life baby! twenty says: blog day afternoon i  dont mind twenty says: its yrs twenty says: lol twenty says: if a Blog fell in the forrest.. would anyone hear it? twenty says: you’re blogging me way down twenty says: Cats N Blogs? casie says: meow… The Vice Guide to Toronto is out now. I got mine at The Beaver on Queen Street. There’s a pile in the back on the floor outside the bathroom. You can get your dirty hands on one there FYI.

an interview to inspire: Jesse & MS

I recently found out that my friend, Jesse Lee from high school was diagnosed with MS. I don’t know alot about MS and saw an opportunity to learn about the disease and share it with others. Jesse is a really cool guy (and funny) so when I found out about him and MS, I was really interested to learn more. Below is my interview with Jesse. Please read it. I assure you it will touch your heart and inspire you. You can donate too MS and help Jesse raise money for the cause here or by following the links below. Did you have symptoms, how did you know? The first two symptoms I encountered were numbness in my fingers and face and blurry vision in one eye. It was in the summer of 2007 while playing baseball. I have always been a good athlete and all of a sudden I was missing fly balls because of my blurry vision and the numbness caused my coordination to be off. I contacted my Doctor who originally gave me eye drops. Once the eye drops didn’t work I was sent for an MRI. When did you find out you had MS? After my first MRI came back and showed some lesions on the brain, a neurologist that I was referred to said there was a possibility that I had MS and sent me for more tests and a second MRI. The results of those tests confirmed I did in fact have MS and I was officially diagnosed in March of 2008. This was a very frustrating time because as you can see it took almost a year to diagnose and so much uncertainty was surrounding while other symptoms started to arrive and get worse. These other symptoms included; loss of balance, poor short…
