the last weekend for parties before school

Good afternoon and welcome to the Annual BBQ. We would like to thank you for coming,  have  yourself a great time!

Oh hai there, I am an Impressionist painting. You can see a brilliant mix of colour, an artistic blur. Nice work.

No baseball for me. Bocce Ball. I was blue. Didn’t play a WHOLE game. Short attention span. I’ve got some pretty good skills at the old people sport of lawn bowling though. Why is lawn bowling not more popular? In Bondi, the cool kids would go to the club and drink/play lawn bowling on Sundays – well dressed and so badass.

Preparing for photos, “ok everyone get your drink, fix your shirt, hair etc….”

And a one, and a two, and a one-two-three-POSE!

I took about 15 photos in a row of Beans eating a delicious chocolate brownie. She looked so cute. I thought it would make a funny animated GIF. She did not think it was AS FUNNY as me.

Would you like a drink with your glass?

One of the best things about a work related event it you always know how you’re getting home (to the next party)….TAXI CHIT!!

I braided Sabrina’s hair and she braided the doggy’s. It was cute. Both girls sat there and let their hair get played with. I with my hair was long enough to get braided too.

The weekend has finally arrived and I’m spending the afternoon with my darling sister in the sun.  We’re going to Kid Rock tonight thanks to Subway!! Woot. Have an awesome day! xo

it’s is more fun with moustachio

This time of year is great. I can feel change in the air. I followed my own advice and read my book outside on the grass yesterday.  Sabrina got a set of mustaches and I really think we should wear them at the office party tomorrow.

It seems my bike has been having dates lately…Keri messaged me a photo that my bike was on date,  well, a boys cruiser was parked next to it.  We both had quite a chuckle when the next morning as I was leaving for work, it seemed that the date was not yet over!

In other exciting news on #SpadinaWatch, there’s something coming around the corner………………..LCBO! It’s quite a good idea considering the amount of people populating the small area. I can feel the winter being warmer already!

some kind of wonderful

I can feel my allergies kicking in, been sneezing. The ride in was a fight against the wind pulling my muscles with every push. I wonder what’s for lunch today, something good I hope. The cops are the ones worst for staring at girls on bikes. Yesterday I went on a Geocaching mission with Kelly, first time but not my last time.  Gonna find one of those treasures. Wore those pants today, the ones that fit right out of the wash and stretch throughout the day. Lovely email from a friend this morning. Makes the day shine brighter.

Reminders for the Day:

1) Read your book outisde before too gets too cold.
2) Don’t bore yourself…live,  love,  write,  remember. -> go read this again.
3) You love when the sun shines through the trees and hits the bright green fresh cut grass.

turn upside down and shake the creative salt

This is my favorite quote of the day:

“There’s a lot to be said for not giving two flying fuck’s Mr. Darwin.”

It’s from my book, I’ve been reading Generation A by Douglas Coupland. I like it. It’s interesting.  He Tweets.  I quite enjoyed a this bit of the book today when one of the characters, Zack said “To cope with this realization I chose nature’s ultimate ego-preservation tool: I chose not to give a shit”.

This book had a good story to me before I even cracked the spine. I won’t tell you after I read it. I love this time of year when the seasons change. Magic.
