Hot Hot Heatwave Honey

After a magical weekend at Yoga Camp, I woke up on Monday feeling refreshed, grounded, and genuinely good. The weather was stunning and I soaked it all in! Hot hot heatwave, honey! Floating in the lake, laughing, moving my body through yoga, Pilates, barre, and breathwork… it was everything I needed. The girls in my cabin were amazing, sweet souls and instant friends. The whole group of us were there together last year, and being in the same cabin this time was just perfect. So much fun! I’m doing a class with a few of the Yoga Camp gang on Friday.

Back in the city, I had an audition due Tuesday, so I spent the afternoon easing into it. Took a stroll to the office to print my script (yes, I walked to print something in this heat wave lol), then sat on the grass in the park to rehearse in the sunshine. I’ve been using this great app called Rafy, it’s like having a scene partner in your pocket. It uses AI for script analysis, and you can choose from a bunch of voices to read with. Super handy when you don’t have a human actor nearby. 😎

After soaking up some rays (and probably a bit too much UV), I headed home to get a bit more work in before gym. I wore this little leopard print set that felt very prehistoric chic, like something Pebbles Flintstone would wear if she had a Pilates membership and a protein smoothie. I walked 10k that day (!), from Queen West to Junction Triangle and back, heatwave be damned. Gym was great, I’ve been working with my trainer, Riley, for 3 years now, and I love his classes!

That evening, I popped out to say happy birthday to Roxy at Ted’s Collision, and yes, you will see a lot of new Sharpie tags there, haha. Sent my audition in on Tuesday and had another one to shoot on Wednesday. FINGERS CROSSED FOR A BOOKING! 🤞

Jen stopped by Wednesday for a little hangout at my place, then we went for a walk in the sun. I went to yoga with Kelly in the evening, and to be honest, it’s my favourite class, mental and physical therapy. I’ve been going to this very special Wednesday night class for about 2.5 years, it’s the perfect mid-week reset.

The past few months, I’ve felt a bit out of touch with myself, but something has shifted. I’m feeling more like me again. Returning to a version I’ve missed, the girl who’s joyful, calm, and radiant.

Here’s to long walks, good friends, summer sweat, and feeling like yourself again. 💛
