I’m Going to Yoga Camp in Costa Rica!

I’ve been consistent with my gym and yoga for the past few months and it’s paying off. Finally seeing some abs come in! I was just in a 12-week challenge at Body Engineers, and since I started working out there two years ago, I’ve lost 15 pounds and dropped 10% in body fat. I’m proud of the hours I’ve put in! VERY excited to be going to Yoga Camp in Costa Rica this February! Remember, I went to Yoga Camp in Haliburton earlier this year?! This experience is hosted by Carla Interior, Drew Hume and Simone Nitzan. I’ll be away for nine days for a 7-day yoga retreat. I can’t wait! I’ve been to Costa Rica twice for yoga/surfing retreats (see here!). The retreat is at Nivida Resort, in a jungle in the mountains near Palmar Sur and Ciudad Cortés. We have two yoga classes a day with healthy meals, local produce, waterfalls, beaches, native history, archeological sites, and more. I would LOVE for some friends to join me at Yoga Camp in Costa Rica, there are only a few spots left. If you’d like to attend, visit the website here or send me a private email for a discount. I’d love to hang out in the jungle!!!

Yoga Camp in Haliburton

In September, I went to Yoga Camp! This retreat was a perfect blend of mindfulness, movement, and the great outdoors. It was refreshing to wrap up summer, and I left feeling balanced, inspired and recharged. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just starting your practice, the weekend is designed to meet you where you are. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the positive energy. The camp was lush and inviting, with spaces to practice yoga, meditate, and connect with others. The schedule included yoga flows, workshops, and opportunities to enjoy nature. Mornings started with energizing classes by the lake, followed by workshops that ranged from mindfulness to yoga, art, and free time to explore. In the evenings, listened to live music by the campfire and danced in the lodge, then turned in early for a cozy cabin sleep. The weekend was held at Camp Eden Woods, the ultimate camp experience in the Haliburton Highlands. We stayed in old-school cabins with bunk beds. I scored two empty beds, so I used one as my closet and another for sleeping. All my cabin mates were so lovely! The people I met were incredible; everyone was there to unplug, connect, and share the experience. Aside from yoga, my favourite activity was making art on the picnic tables in the afternoon. I made beaded name tags for a friend and me, and they’re so cute. The whole weekend was so lovely! Thank you to Taranee, Simone, and the Yoga Camp team for hosting an incredible time. I carried the feeling of this camp for weeks after. The culinary team at Camp Eden Woods was also top-notch, the food was so good. One of my blockers from going to the camp was not having a car; the organizers paired me with two wonderful women…

Embrace Winter at Cold Camp

I recently spent a weekend with Unbounded at Canada’s Cold Camp, and if peace & tranquility had a home, it would be right there on that secluded peninsula by Oak Lake. It was awesome. For more photos & info follow @stayunbounded on Instagram & scroll down for a discount to book your own experience. Unbounded’s motto is all about embracing winter and immersing yourself in nature, and trust me, they deliver on that promise. The setting was pure magic – a private spot that offers the perfect blend of serenity and comfort, far removed from the city chaos. Very chill vibes. 😎 The experience encourages you to step out of your comfort zones with cold exposure, but in the most laid-back way possible. Imagine frozen lake ice pools, a cedar barrel sauna, and a cliffside cedar barrel hot tub – all against the backdrop of nature. Winter at its best. Throughout the weekend, Sean and walked in the woods, did yoga, breath work, and cycled thought cold dips in the lake, hot sauna sessions, or relaxing in the hot tub. Sean even got out for a cross country ski on the frozen lake. Activities at Cold Camp are thoughtfully curated for relaxation and are low-key yet invigorating. Each moment was an opportunity to unwind and connect with nature in a way that left us feeling rejuvenated. We stated in a private chalet on the property that had a queen size bed and smaller room with a couch that folds out to a bed. I used the smaller room as my closet because I packed 100 outfits. Unbounded gives you the option to bring your groceries or you can pre-order meals, snacks, and juices from their partner, Nook Kitchen. We packed our own food because cooking at a cabin in the…

Hot Hot Heatwave Honey

After a magical weekend at Yoga Camp, I woke up on Monday feeling refreshed, grounded, and genuinely good. The weather was stunning and I soaked it all in! Hot hot heatwave, honey! Floating in the lake, laughing, moving my body through yoga, Pilates, barre, and breathwork… it was everything I needed. The girls in my cabin were amazing, sweet souls and instant friends. The whole group of us were there together last year, and being in the same cabin this time was just perfect. So much fun! I’m doing a class with a few of the Yoga Camp gang on Friday. Back in the city, I had an audition due Tuesday, so I spent the afternoon easing into it. Took a stroll to the office to print my script (yes, I walked to print something in this heat wave lol), then sat on the grass in the park to rehearse in the sunshine. I’ve been using this great app called Rafy, it’s like having a scene partner in your pocket. It uses AI for script analysis, and you can choose from a bunch of voices to read with. Super handy when you don’t have a human actor nearby. 😎 After soaking up some rays (and probably a bit too much UV), I headed home to get a bit more work in before gym. I wore this little leopard print set that felt very prehistoric chic, like something Pebbles Flintstone would wear if she had a Pilates membership and a protein smoothie. I walked 10k that day (!), from Queen West to Junction Triangle and back, heatwave be damned. Gym was great, I’ve been working with my trainer, Riley, for 3 years now, and I love his classes! That evening, I popped out to say happy birthday to Roxy at Ted’s…

A Little Life Lately – Mirror Selfies

Oh hi! It’s me, your old friend! I’ve been a bit slack about updating my blog, and it’s ok; that happens sometimes. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I’ve been busy. Here’s a little life lately, all in mirror selfies. 😊 In January, I moved into a new place and neighbourhood and started a new gig with a cool client. I’ve tried to stick to my workouts, but it’s been challenging as I’m not as close to my favorite spots anymore. I’ve been keeping up with my Monday weight-lifting and my Wednesday yoga, mixed in with a few different studio classes here and there. I have been spending a lot of time at home, working, walking the neighbourhood, and thinking. I walked 7km today! I’ve had a bunch of auditions over the past few weeks, including a couple in-person auditions (rare!). I’m hoping to book something soon! Please send out your good vibes for me. In other news, my CHFI commercial got extended on TV (Toronto) and out-of-home (Calgary). I’m in a new advertising campaign for Value City Furniture in the USA (in-store, online, billboard, social ads). I’ll share some more about this soon! I have a couple more fun things to share, but I will get to those another time! I’m really happy it’s finally spring, with longer days and warmer temperatures. We made it through winter! Looking forward to summer activities, parks, beaches, boats, cute outfits, and spending lots of time in the sun. Hope you’re having a great week. 💖
