Remember this video of me walking in the rain to the elegant sounds of Lhasa de Sela singing J’arrive A la Ville? I’m wearing me red Wellies, one of my favorite pairs of shoes. Well, I came back from Florida and they were GONE from my ROOM. walking in the rain from me on Vimeo. Now, I may have misplaced them, it happens, however I can not remember taking them off somewhere and leaving sans shoes. Hmmm?  I really miss them.  It’s been raining for 2 days and I’m forced to wear non-rain-shoes.  I’ve checked my room and condo and it’s pretty hard to hide a pair of big red boots.  I hope they turn up, I’ve had them for years now and I really really want them back. Dear Universe, please find my favorite boots and bring them back to me. Thanks, ♥ Love Casie

I walked part of the way today. So sunny and mild. Woke up early. Wore a summer dress, one that’s good for biking. The tower in the sky looks beautiful. I love when kids wear fake tattoos. So funny. Was busy in the sketch book last night. I had an art attack. This is one of about 5 new babies. I play Mario Kart on the streetcar, mostly on Fridays. I never see girls gaming but I think it would be cute if I did. Lots of work to do today. Wore my Wellies, we might get a thunderstorm. I’m undecided on my feelings about Breakfast Television and CP24. I like Frankish and Dina but the CP24 news/weather/traffic etc. all on one screen is so convenient. Its going to be really nice out. I can feel it already. I’m listening to my blip.fm station. Good tunes on there. I’m DJ Basketcase.

The day has finally come! I’m stoked for #pibTO today at 1pm. If you haven’t got all the details or joined in on FB, that’s a-OK all you have to do is SHOW UP for 1pm to Second Cup at Queen & John. It’s meant to clear up by mid-day and not be too wet. If it is wet, don’t let that stop you from being involved in something really awesome. I’ll be rocking my favorite Wellies and rain coat just in case! You’ll be able to find me with the media, Raptors girls, Flow 93.5, Freestyle Soccer, and lots of others on location at 1pm. All proceeds, yes 100% go directly to the SickKids foundation. See you at 1pm! ♥

riverside adventure

riverside adventure

When I was home this weekend I went on an adventure in Riverside Park. The Grand River was higher than normal and most of the park interior was flooded. Bonga and I set off in to the forest. It was not long before we found ourselves trapped in the middle of melting ground, mud, ice and marsh. It was time to conquer the elements. The sun was shining bright giving us super powers to take on the cold. Not even the high flowing river could hold us back. I was dressed to lead the pack with my warm jacket and Hunter Wellies.We grabbed walking sticks to ensure we knew exactly if the ground was hard or soft and to make it easier to jump over stuff. This also helped in breaking up the ice on the boardwalk. It was really fun.
