Name Change, Storia, the visual storytelling app

There’s a new look for the app Storia, formally known as Selfish.  Over the past few months I’ve been in a small group of beta testers helping to improve the app before they launch in the app store. Aside from the name change, they’ve added faster image uploads, more collaboration options and they’re about to release better offline support, and font editing. For me, the name change is a big thing. Y’all know love sharing and so sharing an app called selfish felt a little backwards. Storia is for collaborating on stories with others and sharing things around a topic. A few things I’ve been documenting in the app are travel adventures, behind the scenes of recent shoots, snippits from the blog, and spring style. My blog and travel stories are authored only by me but a bunch of my others, like spring style have collaborators. Currently the app is only available on iPhone in Canada and Russia. It’ll be on Android soon. It’s been cool working with an app while in beta and then seeing it launch. Our small group has given heaps of feedback and seeing those changes come to life is pretty neat. You can check it out by using the web version at storia.me. Would be cool to collaborate on a story with you. If you wanna join my blog story, you’re welcome! Could use some more peeps in the fashion for sure. 🙂 TTYL <3 CASIE

Watch Me Tablescape It on The Design Network!

A couple weeks ago I was on set with Sarah Glynn to film an episode of Tablescape It, her new show on The Design Network.  We took a wooden tray with industrial handles from my place and incorporated it in a chic bar setup for an upcoming shindig at my place. S1 E1 Designer Sarah Glynn has a mission: to create an industrial-chic bar for lifestyle blogger Casie Stewart, who is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of her blog. Sarah finds inspiration in a rustic wood tray that’s special to Casie, setting up a one-of-a-kind bar complete with vintage bar cart, a DIY light installation and playful accents to help get the party started. April Showers, Blue Skies, Gray Eyes

Notice a difference? I tried out a new pair of Air Optix Color contacts in Gray. I’ve had a fun time trying all the different colours the last few months. I love changing my look, depending on how long you’ve been reading I’ve had a ton of hair styles, different hair colours, and fashions.  Lots of different styles. The contacts last 30 days and are a-ok for daily wear. Here’s a few of the colours in the Subtle collections. There’s also a line of Vibrant colours you can check out at airoptixcolors.ca. At first I was a real rookie at putting them in and taking them out but now I’ve got it down to a science. I’ve also found them to be comfortable in that, once I get them in, I can wear them all day without bothering my eyes. This was new to me as I’ve never been a contacts wearer.  They’re light and breathable while enhanceing your natural eye colour. Air Optix Colors are the only contact lenses designed with 3-in-1 colour technology to help you look and feel your best. Mine are non-prescription but they’re available with prescription, so if you ever want to change up your look, or your regular contacts, ask your eye doctor. New gray couches arrived at the office the same day I was wearing these. Coincidence? My eyes are usually bright hazel/green so this is quite a difference. They look quite nice when the sun shines in them but not too drastic of a difference to make me look like a cartoon. Check out my other adventures with Air Optix Colors by visiting this LINK where you can scroll through Brilliant Blue, Gemstone Green, Sterling Gray, and Honey eyes. Next I’m trying Blue and Brown. I wonder if I’ll look more like my sister with Brown eyes?…

Something Blue Photobooth w/ Becca Lemire

Spring? It’s me Casie, are you there? JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS FOR SHOWING UP THIS WEEKEND! The other day, actually the one where is SNOWED just over a week ago, Becca had a photobooth at her studio. She’s started a new biz doing photobooths and she’s really great at them. I’ve had her take my photo 100+ times the last few years. Sean was’s AS into dressing up with props as me but I managed to get him in a couple photos and wearing these shades. Macho Man Randy Savage? Nerds. Cute though. Haha. We had been binge watching Netflix ALL day and peeled ourselves off the couch to stop by Pineapple Studios.   I’m SO glad we’re finally getting some warmer weather. Aren’t you? Bring on spring! XO CASIE

Shooting w/ NKPR, My Fav Shirt, Periscope from a Church

Last week I was on set for a day with MD Media and NKPR for an exciting TV project we’ve been working on. My first shoot day was about 2 weeks ago, remember I was on set with Tim Warmels (The Bachelor) here. This is one of my most fav shirts, picked it up at Philistine Toronto, Queen West last summer. We used a few of my things as props, beloved Ted Baker London makeup bad and Dermalogica products. I absolutely love their tinted moisturizer with SPF. It’s perfect for summer when you don’t have to wear as much makeup. The long thin tube is a tinted primer with SPF that’s great as well. I love being on camera! Those bright lights on the face feel so great. Been wearing these glasses heaps lately. They’re another steal from Polette Eyewear in France. Polette was started by a young entrepreneur, Pierre Wizman, who decided to quit school and build his first company at the age of 16. He wanted to make affordable, yet stylish eyewear available for all. Check out all the rad styles at polette.com. We were at a church so decided to snoop around. And they did a live periscope from inside. It was kinda fun. Hey Tory! It was raining that day but I’m totally ready for any showers that come my way with my bright red Stutterhein jacket. I love this thing! Here’s to a great week filled with sunshine and positivity! Sending some your way 🙂 <3 CASIE

What’s your fav room in the house??? #housie

In my latest little project with TD Canada I’ve joined them in celebrating the places we live. Whether it’s your first place or a fresh start somewhere new, there’s always one room in the house you like the most. In my last place I loved the living room, remember this view overlooking Lake Ontario and downtown Toronto? I spent hours staring out those windows. TD Canada is encouraging people to share their fav room in the house with a #housie, a 360-degree video selfie of your home. My fav room in our house is the roof top patio. Last summer I had a lovely garden up there and spruced up the place with some new furniture. My TD Canada #housie A video posted by C A S I E S T E W A R T (@casiestewart) on Apr 6, 2015 at 9:11am PDT How to create your own – I’m sure you know! Love to see your fav room in the house and how you celebrate your home. I need to celebrate today by doing some cleaning! Once uploaded to Twitter or Instagram your vid will be added to the others on tdhousie.com. <3 CASIE
