I’m a gangster for real, I feel so damn gangster

I love this photo. Took it today as soon as I got home from the airport using the 360 app on iPhone. I find this city so beautiful to come home to. Have you heard of Pigeon John? Khayyamm always has good tunes and I was introduced to him when we were in Sin City last week. He’s not really a gangsta’ and neither am I. I came all the way home TO THE FREEZING COLD in Havaianas. Crazy woman! Packed socks in my bag so I was warm on the plane but couldn’t not be bothered to get other shoes just to run to the car. I was tired and lazy. My ankle is really swollen and my foot hurts. I have an old injury from about five years ago that is painful every now & then (love that movie). Urghhhh. I did however. spend the entire day on the couch (the internet). I’m doing hot/cold on it and have a castor oil compress for the night (thanks Mum!). I’m always stoked to check the mail when I get home from work/vacation. I was VERY pleasantly surprised with a bunch of jewellery I ordered from Etsy (late one night) and a box with the warmest, wooly, winter slippers EVER. They’re called Glerups and they’re from Denmark with a lovely family story about how they’re made. Glerups are made from 100% natural wool. Swoooooooon! Being Kiwi I’ve had wool slippers before but never as fancy as these. (I feel Mum is going to ring once she reads this saying she needs a pair!) There’s nothing like a surprise gift in the mail to perk up a cold winter day. It’s even better when it’s something you can wear and it comes from a company owned by your favourite famous twins Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen! Nice packaging too. Seriously though, I love them. Once I dressed up as MK&A for Halloween. We had venti Starbucks cups and huge purses as accessories with heaps more accessories on top. This ‘Le Beau Necklace‘ is silver plated chains wrapped around 14K gold plated ring on a brass faceted cable chain. Love. At StyleMint you pick a bunch of things you like, then MK&A ‘style you’. Once I connected with FB they picked my style matched with famous short haired blonde’s and even styled me with a boyfiend who was tall with long hair and a beard. If you know anything about me you know that those boys are my fav. ♥! Spot on with the outfit choices. I love buying shoes online and have gone a *bit* overboard lately on Solestruck so it was nice to see heaps of styles I wold totally buy on ShoeMint at a lower price point. Getting shoes is the mail is like SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! JewelMint is like having Kate Bosworth as yout stylish. She picked for this ring for me. I think I have one kinda like it somewhere. Caught a glimpse of sun yesterday. Did you see it? Did it touch your face too? I was getting my nails done. Treated myself I’ve been workin’ real hard lately. They are the colour of burning. Natalie Dee’s coming today is about nails too. I love her. Getting ready to retire Robert, my EEE PC. Ordered this appropriate Gelaskin – Underworld by Colin Thompson from Australia. This year the typewriter stopped being produced. I love typewriter and this is a great way to celebrate/remember both. Had band practice last night & made some jewellery. Funnest part is untangling the bunches. So many things you forget about over the years, styles change, etc. Total blast to rummage with friends. We’ve been digging Pop Chips lately. Probs due to the first shipment I got from a PR agency. THANKS GUYS! We’ve purchased a bunch since. See, sending stuff to people really works. Wanna send me something? I’ve been having a few issues with the lock on my front door and I keep getting locked out. It’s not fun at all!! Luckily my friend told me about a local locksmith in Scottsdale so I arranged an appointment and the issue will hopefully be fixed today. I mean in the election. I don’t care WHO you vote for just vote. People fought for our right to have a say, some people in the world don’t have that opportunity. Enough on that for now. I don’t EVEN wanna get started. The whole reason I was REALLY talking about voting is for two reasons. First: If you click on this photo and vote for me WE win $250 at ticketmaster gift card. This week I got these darling little earings from Charity Diamonds. They’re 10k gold studs covered with Swarovski crystals and come in a bunch of colours. I chose black, cute eh? Charity Diamonds a Canadian jewelry company that sells conflict free jewelry and donates 50% of it’s proceeds to charity. Pretty rad considering diamonds are a girls best friend and giving to charity makes it that much better. i’ve been an awful good girl, santa baby

Made a wee list of a couple things I really enjoy having. I would never have this stuff without recomendations and introductions from a bunch of you. I appreciate it. Here we go: Yoga Jeans from Shop Girls Gallery Boutique I was invited t the shop and given jeans and they are super comfy for someone who hates pants. I haven’t worn jeans in years and now I love these ones. I wear them when I travel and they are so comfy on the plane. They never lose their shape. I have dark denim and this one time I spilled a beer on me when flying and you could hardly even tell. It dried in no time and I got another beer. Bam Jamz Bamboo clothes Was given this at the TIFF gift lounge and I’ve been living in it since. The tank top has a panda on it’s really comfy. I like looking stylish but I also like no fuss, feel good clothes. Mine is pajams/yoga wear but I wear it as day clothes. Also great for traveling. You get it at at these stores. Marks Work Warehouse super long soft cardigan Before New Zelanad Fashion week I was invited to Mark’s. One of the things I got was this super long soft cardigan that I have been wearing like crazy. It’s really nice for around the house. Soft like a more stylish snuggie for traveling. Warm too. I woud buy one for all my girlfriends if I could afford it. GIFTING DAY 5: you thirsty?

Earlier this year I went to New Zealand for New Zealand Fashion Week. It was an amazingly awesome trip. Words can not explain all the fun things I did, the photos and blog posts will give you an idea but you need to ask me in person to really know. Thank you to Patty Huntington, Anna Jobz, the whole NZFW team, designers, sponsors and people I met for making it so freaking awesome-never-forget-fun. Today I share with you a story and a something from my little wee wine library. My most anticipated show for NZFW was Stolen Girlfriends Club. It was the show I knew I’d like. This pic is me after the show w/ Venus who was my totally awesome Minder for the week. The fashion show ended with a cannon of confetti and roses. A cute boy caught a rose and gave it to me, there was glitter in my hair. I sat front row and centre and we were all in an old theatre. Someone pointed out that the girl on the poster for the show looked kinda like me. Pretty neat. This was the final outfit. The models all lined up then the ‘couple’ came out last. That’s when the cannon went off. I love the clothes they make, the jewellry and how they put on a show. So hot. You know who else was there that night? And who had been tweeting away becoming friends before I even arrived on the scene? Kim Crawford Wines. (Found out the other day K.C Wine is Mum’s fav from NZ!). The people were all so nice and it was a pleasure meeting them. Everyone drank out of little jars, it was fun. The other day I recieved a case of Sauvignion Blanc and Pinot Noir from Kim Crawford…
