stairs, stairs, stares. laissez-faire.

I take the stairs down most of the time at my office. I take the elevator up. I’m thinking of doing the stair climb up the CN Tower. I reckon I could make a good time. I love the tower. I watch it daily. I went to the gym today and then for a swim. It was refreshing and inspiring. They gym has given me anxiety for the last few years and I rarely ever go. This morning I got over it. It felt fantastic. I’m dying to go again. the stairs from me on vimeo. I also got a new Moleskine.

sharing the randomness – 25 casie facts

This has been floating around Facebook since January. I figured since I’ve been tagged by a ton of friends it is about time I shared 25 random facts about me. The rules go as follows: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. Blah, blah, blah… Here we go: I was born in Canada to New Zealand parents and have dual citizenship (Canadian/New Zealand). I danced ballet, tap and jazz as a kid and completed in competitions across Ontario as well as Showstopper in NY & Myrtle Beach, SC. I was 5 with fake lashes and red lipstick! I wrote a book and became a published Canadian Author at 14. It was titled Jeans: An Anthology of Poetry and Prose. The Toronto Star wrote and article about me titled “Push Over Keats, Teen Muse Steps Ahead“. I went to Uni in Australia and lived at Bondi Beach. It was the best year because I learned the most about myself and WHO I really am. I hate scary movies. I…

I’m Glamorous. Yes, I am.

Last week I received a package from my friends at Matchstick Marketing once again. This time it was…a L’Oreal Paris Glam Kit!! OOOH YEAH! I was totally surprised by the huge size of the actual mascara unit. It was bigger than any type I have ever tried, and resembled a sex toy a little bit! You know, like the kind of thing you might see on a sex toy site like Loveplugs? Well, that’s what my roommate, sister and I thought. The kit came with the following jazz: 2 x L’Oréal Paris Double Extension Beauty Tubes Mascara 1 x L’Oréal Paris Cosmetic Bag 1 x L’Oréal Paris Cosmetic Brush Set 1 x L’Oréal Paris Eye Shadow Quad in Grey 1 x L’Oréal Paris Carbon Black Liquid Liner 1 x Guide to Smokey Eyes I took the liberty of capturing all the steps in using the mascara. I expected it to make me look more like a Glam babe, I’m talking Oscar worthy. I’ve used it a few more times since this first application and don’t mind it, but is not my most favorite. My lashes are actually quite long so it makes them kinda butterfly-eyeish. I think I need more…

she was full of zeal

I’m really excited for 2009.Time to shine, feeling divine.I love how it rhymes. Shit. Did it again. Crime. Fun. I had a wonderful day today. Spent the morning sleeping followed by a little breakfast snack and coffee. Had a great visit with the lovely Karrera. I did a little exercise in my room. Proud of myself for getting a jump on the ‘New Years I’m gonna start the gym‘ phenomenon; I feel like I’m ahead of the game and gearing up for summer! Each day that passes is one day closer to summer. I’ve also gathered up heaps of supplies for the workshop. I have designed some really rad stuff for Spring/Summer 2009. I’m going to be working in the gallery space until it opens in the Spring, inspiring! I’m also stoked because I made a plan for August to join Karrera for Shambhala. Helloooo 2009, the year of opportunity!
